How many anime do you watch at the same time?

I guess realistically I watch 3-5 anime at a time. My watching list says 15, but I've deicded to add anime that I'm going to start watching soon, or shows I have high priority to watch.

This ensures that I have various anime across multiple genres in case I'm in the mood for something else. While I get bored easy, I'm a completionist, so I try to get the most anime finished in a short amount of time.

I used to watch like two or tree non-seasonal animes at once but now I binge watch one anime at a time cause I think I kinda remember the show well that way

I watch a single anime and after finishing it I start a new one. Very rarely have I watched two anime in between one another.

Usually just one. I like to try to give a series my undivided attention. If it drags on or the pacing is off for a 24 episode series usually by episode 12 I'll be watching my way through another anime in it's entirety before returning to it.

One at a time, because I end a single season in one or two days. However, I start another anime when an anime Im already watching has only one or two episodes left.

It depends on the anime itself! I usually complete a single anime at a time if it's good, and if the anime isn't that good, then I drop it!

I started watching individual shows one after the other then slowly got in to seasonal anime so for a while I had one show I was binging and a few (like 3-5 seasonals) I was watching at the same time. Then I got so carried away with seasonals that I up to two weeks ago I was watching 18 shows this season.

Many people complain about not having the time for seasonals and I don't really buy that. Even with 18 shows a week, that averages at 1h 10m a day (overestimate as not all shows are 25 mins but lets roll with this). People really don't have a little over an hour every evening or whenever to watch some anime? I mean... If someone is trying to watch that 18 shows then I should think they are pretty dedicated anime fans so it seems odd they can't put aside such little time.

That said, people watching seasonals will usually want to be engaged with the community so there is extra time investment from that and people have lives and even social lives (the fucking normies j/k not j/k <3). I have a lot of free time so I can't really talk.

But I stopped watching seasonals for a different reason. I think, for pretty much everything that isn't an episodic SOL/comedy/etc, having to wait a week between episodes completely kills the experience. I'm sure for some people it's different. If you have a really good memory for all the details and you can very quickly slip back in to the same mindset and emotional state you were in at the end of the previous episode, then great. But I can't do that.

For me, it takes at least a few minutes, sometimes half an episode to really sink in to that deep level of immersion that allows me to enjoy a story. I find all the tension and immersion and excitement goes pretty quickly and by the time 7 days have rolled around it's really hard to get immersed / invested again.

So now I've returned to back-to-back viewing (I don't like the term 'binging' because it has negative connotations) evening-by-evening so only one day breaks at most. I make exceptions for certain shows (Senko, Bocchi, Joshikausei, Nobunaga this season).

Although all that has gone tits up since I started the Fate Stay/Night VN. 75ish hours over the past 3 weeks. God is it good. I mean it's really fucking good. But I can't add it to my MAL! Put VNs on MAL!

I used to never watch more than one at a time, and now I'm stuck with like 20 in my Currently Watching list, several that haven't been touched in like 2 years

I tend to watch about 4-6 at any given time, but sometimes an anime on my watching list is partially on hold.

I'm more of a one at a time type of person, but I'm thinking on changing it up a bit.

Gonna be trying 3 at a time for awhile. One long series, one currently airing, and one 12-24 episode series.

Normal just one, but sometimes I find myself watching a anime like Cat's Eye.

It's not really a amazing show, girls got abilltys second to none to superman.
And it's pretty damn boring, so I can only watch around 1-2 eps a day.

So it will take some time to finish the show as it has 74 eps.

So now I'm watching 2 shows at the time, I think it's best to watch 1 at the time.
So you don't lose interest in the another shows.

I only focus on 1 anime to watch so you can appreciate the good and bad side of that anime, and soon you will realize what i am saying.

I tend to only watch one anime at a time. I find it easier if I only have to devote my time to only one show, so that I don’t have to try and remember a bunch of information for multiple shows at once.
i think i've had enough

When I was focusing more on seasonals I'd watch anywhere from 5 to 15+ anime at a time depending on the season. Now I keep it to 10 at the most with a mix of ongoing and completed.

It depends on my mood, but lately I haven't been able to watch too many things or marathon as well as I used to.

The most I ever had in my watching list at a given time tho was around 12-16 different anime iirc. Seasonal or otherwise.

It’s weird how majority of watchers go to around 2-6. As of now and this season I’m watching around 9 then I always watch one unseasonal anime that’s like over a year old.

It always confuses me how little people watch, it may just be me but it feels like it’s normal to watch multiple anime at once and even sometimes finish one whole anime in a day.

Watching 14 atm, the majority being seasonal. I try to keep my non seasonal down to a minimum, for that reason I was trying to finish of space brothers by the end of last year.. that is still a work in progress.

I prefer to only keep up with one or two at a time. That said, I will sometimes watch a show or two in between if an anime is in a mid-season hiatus.

For seasonal anime all depends how many I like, normally around 9 - 12.

Usually 2 - 3 aside the seasonal, also depends what kind of series I'm watching.

As many as I want, provided I don't go above 20. It sounds like a lot but I watch different shows at different paces. Some shows I can get through in a few days or a week at minimum, while others might take me a month or longer. Some shows have even taken me longer than a year to finally finish.

Too many. I'm trying to get around to actually finishing some that had been in my Watching list for years now before I start anything new.
