I only watched the first season as well, since I was heavily into Roosterteeth at the time, but never watched the second because I stopped watching them since then. Might watch it since it's pretty short, I didn't dislike the series, I just disliked the majority of the voice acting since only a few were professional voice actors, the rest were just various RT staff with no experience with it. |

| Just want to point out that the creator Monty Oum intended RWBY to be considered an anime but i guess thats the dream of every cartoon nowadays. Still if he could have continued with his work i bet in time a deal of some kind whould be made, dubbing RWBY for japanese audience was the first step. |

| The only reason this show got anywhere is because the RT fanboys lap up any ol dribble they come up with. The story is boring, the acting is meh, the art and animation leave much to be desired.. It's just so painfully average. |

| To those complaining about the animation of RWBY. If you're just not a fan of the style I can respect that so this doesn't really concern you, however to claim that the animation is just "bad" is plain wrong. As an animator myself, I know that the animation in RWBY is seen as incredibly impressive by most of the animation community (3d and 2d, digital and traditional). They do use some unorthodox methods (partially through necessity to produce it fast enough, and partially because that was the way Monty was). As for the whole "is it anime debate?". Who cares? Miles Luna (one of the lead writers) and Monty Oum, have both said though it's heavily inspired by anime, and produced in a similar style, it is kind of its own thing and they don't bother with whether it is or not. If you think an anime is not anime if it uses 3D animation, you are an idiot because a lot of modern anime do make use of it now (besides any kind of animation even 'cartooons' would be considered anime in Japan so if you're going to be some kind of weaboo/otaku 'purist' think about that first). Having said that I actually do agree that it is kind of somewhere in between. As for whether there should be an 'actual' anime I don't think that would really add anything, and I don't see it happening anyway (it would also probably mean losing creative control and as such Monty's plans for the series would be lost forever) |

All the haters here who haven't even watched it but are hating on the series are sheep. Any one loves action anime or action movies would have no reason to dislike RWBY. |
