| Alrighty, it's time for me to watch this series, had it on the back burner long enough... The OP is lovely, that upbeat melody paired with the colourful visuals and the energizing lyrics made for one fantastic OP, perfectly suited for this particular show. As such for the ED, the more upbeat melodies, colourful cutesy visuals and lively energy from the lyrics. It seems that both the OP and ED are really hinting at Hitori AKA Bocchi's progression as both a musician and a human being, breaking through her severe social anxiety one by one. Wonderful first ep, the first 5 minutes alone speak volumes of how much Hitori desires to get popular and live a life surrounded by friends. The whole reason she even picks up a musical instrument in the first place is to do just that. Yet even with her motivation, she breezed through the entirety of her middle school life without progressing on that social aspect one bit. This really reminded me of NOT Komi-San. It reminded me of Tomoko Kuroki, their extreme social anxiety disorder is equal, they live isolated and detest interacting with anyone outside the family and they're expressive enough to visibly show discomfort, unlike Komi who maintains a poker face. The only difference here is that Tomoko is a femcel lmao. This is truly a [K-ON x Watamote] combo! |

| The scene where Hitori was alone at the park with some other man and she said something like "I guess this is where lonely people go" only for his wife and daughter to visit him made me laugh a lot. It was so funny. A lot of scenes in this first episode were way too relatable though, like Hitori bringing band merch to school so people would talk to her, and then slowly taking them off one at a time out of embarrassment, that part was way too relatable. |

| I decided to expand genres and picked the anime to see what "music" genre anime is like. Ngl, it wasn't that bad and I actually enjoyed watching this episode. The first part hit a little too close to home as I remember going to a new school and didn't know anyone for the first semester, kind of like how pink hair didn't get to know anyone for all her middle school life. The part where she finds her passion for music tho, THAT part made me think about what I want to do and got me emotional for some reason. It made me think about what I like to do on my free time and what I want to be in the future and i all got is... nothing. Because of this i became really invested on seeing her pursuing her passion and what's going to happen to her dream of playing guitar in a band. Im happy for her that yellow hair invited her along to play in thier small little band. Because this ep was very relatable, and talks a lot of issues that I face, I would give it a 5. This anime may be perfect for me. |

| Well, that was a pretty good start. The episode had me smiling basically the entire episode, particularly Hitori's inner monologue. It was pretty funny too. I cracked up at her sniffing the girl in secret. I also cracked up at her performing in a box. That can't be good for the acoustics, lol. It is pretty hard to believe that a punk rock-looking girl who brought a guitar case to class wouldn't get talked to at all, but I can fairly easily suspend my disbelief on that. |

This is tempting fate, but i'll finally start watching this even if future italian dub maybe isn't 100% impossible after all. Wow. Returned immediately to rewatch after italian dub announcement and already enjoying it again, especially since, you know, this country has just one thing that has never disappointed me... Voice actors. Discovering Hitori having the same dub voice of Marin Kitagawa is a cool discovery too. |

| I'm not someone who likes music anime (or someone who listens to music at all, really) so I was a bit reluctant to start watching this. I heard Bocchi has social anxiety which somewhat interested me since I know how that feels but we already had a similar sort of anime earlier with Komi Can't Communicate. From what I've heard of that show, that's more of a fantasy than a slice of life. The thing that got me to watch it was the gif of Bocchi glitching on the floor because of her anxiety. Hilarious and relatable. No way that would've been shown in KCC. Anyway, I really liked the episode. Maybe it's in part due to keeping expectations low and somewhat expecting to dislike it. So far I like all the characters. Bocchi carrying her guitar to school took me back to high school. It's really cool that she found her passion and was brave enough to record and upload her videos online. I wonder if they'll ever cover her experience with negative comments. For someone that popular, there has to have been mean comments. I'm not sure how she goes to school and practises for 6 hours a day though. One thing I don't like is how Bocchi has that little bit of hair tied on the side of her head. It's so minor but I wonder what the thought behind that choice was. Wouldn't she be trying to fit in if she's worried about people judging her? What a pleasant surprise. I hope I like the rest of the season. Edited to add: I forgot to talk about the music lol. I like it. I'm glad it's rock and not pop like most other music anime. |

| Oh man. I have watched only the first 7 minutes of the first episode so far, but it is sooooooo relatable! Been there, done that, lost the t-shirt 20 years ago. Have to check out whether I still remember how to play after so many years. |
| Although I don't really relate to the MC's experiences she seems pretty fun and I can see why people like her, I can't wait to see how she grows as I go through the episodes, the animation and the main cast seem fun too so I have decent hopes for what's coming up. |

| Oh my god man, this anime alone respark my love for Slice of Life genre inside of me. Its all very grounded and classic for Cute Girls Doing Cute Things genre. How the main character sudden adventure because of some random event is such a classic trope and I never get bored of it |

| I started Bocchi the Rock! and the second Hitori started reflecting on her middle school loneliness, I wanted to curl up on the floor. (╥﹏╥) She is so precious but watching her try to "summon" friends by bringing a guitar to school was the most painful thing I’ve ever seen!! (╬ ಠ益ಠ) I love that her only friend is an imaginary "Guitar Man" and 30,000 strangers on the internet. But seeing her get dragged away by Nijika was actually peak—every introvert needs a golden retriever to kidnap them into a band (≧◡≦). I’m already obsessed with her trash-can energy! (≖︿≖✿) |
