OT: My boy Armin holding back one bit. Destroy those bastards.

I am also totally rooting for more focus on Armin. His speech in the face of the cannon won me over (S1, he defended Eren after the transformation in Trost district).

Why can't women ever take responsibility for their actions? Even in fiction, they're blaming others for their choices.
I like Hentai, you like real life.
Instead of complaining about my tastes, be grateful you now don't have to compete against me.

Anime and Manga clearly show One of the Scout went in to save the commander while the rest continue with the operation to rescue Eren

That was an intense episode, and an episode that is a bit convoluted for those who aren't paying close attention.

If you look at some of my old posts, I criticized a few things about this show, such as the lack of interesting characters. While some of these complaints are grounded in real issues (such as characters looking too much alike), this episode made me go back to start sorting things out. As I start to separate the plot threads, my new opinion is that the characters tend to be rather good (except for Mikasa). To really appreciate this show I'll have to go back and rewatch most of it. I think I now have a long overdue appreciation for what it has to offer. I might even end up writing a review on it.

lol at Bertolt saying other way around.
The Survey Corps are attacking.
Mikasa going crazy. Bertolt scared as fock.
Dat Mikasa eye.
lol at Mikasa telling Krista to choose between Eren or Ymir.
WTF at Erwin.
lol at police dude getting eaten because he wasn't looking.

Erwin: Susumu!
>Titan gets his arm.
Me: Oh shit! No way!
Erwin: Susumu!

LMAO at the horse hitting that dude.
No! Let go of Mikasa.
Armin.
Armin...wow.
Erwin! He lost his arm.
Dat Titan got sent flying.
Dat Titan... It's the one that killed Eren's mom.

Respect for Erwin. He gave up his arm for... SUSUMU!
If you see that my post is exactly 1 month old (or more) from when it was posted... Don't waste your time, especially when you want to reply with something petty & insignificant. Assume that I've moved on (because I have).

Mikasa's death glare is terrifying! And Commander Erwin is a beast! An arm being bitten off can't stop him!
Definitely don't ever fuck with these 2 badasses! They're insane, brave, beasts!
Also, Armin being a genius manipulator was awesome. His fabrication of Annie's fate is brutal! Nice one!

Insane animation, music, sound fx and expression synchronization throughout the whole episode!!!
Hopefully, this intense episode is ended with an intense season finale! Even if there are only 12 episodes, it's epic nevertheless!

Intense episode, I think, best episode of the season, I think, the episodes were Reiner and Berthold fight against the legion in the wall were good too.
Mikasa, Armin, Erwin, Jean, everyone is giving his best.
I wanted Reiner to kidnap Eren, I thought that we could discover tons of information.

Anyone else REALLY annoyed at Christa's stupid comments (made more than once) about how she has to go with Ymir because otherwise Ymir will be killed?

This statement assumes that Ymir MUST go off with Reiner and Bert, and that she either does that without Christa (and might be killed) or with Christa (and might be spared).

Reality check... How about the option where Ymir comes back with the Scouts and uses her Titan form to help humanity like Eren is doing???? That option is SO FRIGGIN' OBVIOUS that it annoys me that the writers act like it does not exist.

Is anyone else worried at this point that the writers are not going to adequately explain all the mysteries? There have been a lot of tv series where the "hook" was a mystery involving some unknown conspiracy, and the writers tease you with the prospect of getting answers, like having a conspirator captured, but PSYCH, no answers because the conspirator is in a coma or something, and new characters are introduced that seem to know more about the conspiracy, giving veiled hints and tidbits, but insisting (for unspecified reasons) that they cannot say more...and a few season down the road, the mystery is FINALLY revealed, but when you look back on it, it does not adequately explain all the people who shielded the mystery and refused to divulge it...as if the writers figure the audience won't worry about why some one two seasons earlier refused to divulge information...you just need an explanation good enough to cover the big issues and don't sweat the "little" stuff...which leaves you with a weak resolution. I fear whatever explanation there is for the Titans, it will NOT explain Reiner's behavior or Bert's or Annie's or Ymir's or Christa's, but by then the writers figure we won't be sweating such minor loose strings... Anyway, I hope this is not the case, but I've been burned before on shows where the plot revolves around a conspiracy (remember LOST?)

Ymir stop bullshitting girl but i guess it was to put Christa in her comfort zone ,so it's cool.
Guess my assessment on Rei and Bert were pretty much on the spot.Mikasa looked like the real beast here lmao....
The few aerial view of the horses chasing the titans were crap though..Felt like they were on Nos..And how did Erwin outrunned them and bring forth the horde of other titans from the front..Doesnt make any sense.Armored titan with his passiveness really disapointed me.

Reiner is slow in pace, Because of the armour,,, and he was going more slow in this episode because of Ymir's weight..... Survey Corps horses were quite fast..they were able to catch up with Reiner...Erwin brought the horde of titans using shortcut path,,, you can call it "going roundabout" it works because Reiner isn’t fast enough.
Reiner isn’t passive here, main passive is bert who is basically weak-minded.

Bert isnt "weak minded" rather conflicted and knows the weight behind his actions meanwhile Reiner is under dissonance which puts doubt on his passive approach towards the titans and the survey corps without Erwin to lead them..
Ignoring the bullshitary of a horse being ridden catching up to a titan, in this case the three left straight north after leaving the forest. You cant possibly do a roundabout and straight vertical.

Yes its called suspension of disbelief, you are going to need a bit of that when it comes to fiction, don't expect realism all the time in fiction. Look at it this way if we were to follow real life logic we would not be able to have this awesome battle in the open field if they weren't able to catch up to them, but in a fictional world it can happen. Just like in real life the 3d gear would not be possible to use by humans, but thanks to fiction we can enjoy these cool action scene.

It depends and is contextual .Every fiction has to have preset rules u need to assume referred from our world based on the plot it is set upon .Whether your interest reaches threshold to ignore glaring loopholes is a separate matter and i was forthcoming to give it a leeway.

The contention here is liittle different. When the grey area is further explored upon by similar incidents with the former as the base it starts a negative cascading effect and your immersion will break. It's unfortunate how it can undervalue an otherwise solid storyline

I made the same conclusion like NakolHira and I'm pretty sure that is the same thought process of the majority of folks here, no one else were bothered by it because we just assume that he went the roundabout way and brought the titans towards Reiner nothing to think too deeply on, but you didn't like that explanation which is why I brought up suspension of disbelief.

For me personally I'm more critical with the plot, plot holes can really bother me and break my immersion. Debating whether a horse can out run a titan shifter is negligible.

An argument of authority and reiteration when there is a substantial lack of comprehension skills is a common human instinctive feature...

Absolutely fantastic character moment for Erwin, he truly is Commander that can bring up instant hype everytime he starts giving speech.

That scary moment between Mikasa and Berthold where Mikasas eyes were most terrifying thing I've seen in the anime so far tho

I did not expect the titan that killed Erens mother to appear at all in the series but looks like the timing couldn't been more perfect

So many things in this episode, but again another great one. I was really caught up in the episode so I don't have as many notes. Where episode eight made me remember why I hated Mikasa, episode eleven reignited my love for her. She was a total badass. "Because right now, I'm all out of time and room in my heart to care." The fact that I know that Mikasa would just knife down Christa is so satisfying. I wanted to cry a lot in this episode, Connie being betrayed hurts again and again, it also hurts for Jean knowing that he was so close to Marco and it was the shifters fault that he got killed. I mean Marco's death still really hurts me. I really liked Erwin in this episode. It completely converted me into the daddy Erwin team, I mean the way how he just said onwards while he was in the mouth of a titan? Unheard of. Everyone else when they are on the brink of death screams, this man just tells the squad that Eren is the priority. Also, Armin was being a pure evil mad genius and I love it.
