Why does okabe who wakes up in 2036 does 3000 time leaps instead of using a time machine..? I mean it's 2036.. So there must be time machine...

Why does okabe do 3000 time leaps from 2036 to 2011 instead of using a time machine.. And why does he need to save suzuha and Mayuri from 18000BC since he already changes or will change the past?

If he uses the time machine then there will be 2 Okabe's in 2011, which could only cause troubles and hardly beneficial for him.

He saves them for 2 reasons:
- he made a promise to Kagari, also this is a back up plan for Operation Skuld's possible failure
- he wants to avoid Reading Steiner overwriting his Steins Gate self's memories. If he is present in 2036 when the WL shifts to Steins Gate, then his memories would overwrite his Steins Gate memories in 2036, which would cause him a 26-year-long amnesia. He wants to avoid that.

This is not a cool way to watch the series. This is the WORST way to watch the series for a newbie. This order is only recommended for rewatch. 99% of the fandom agrees on this.

The order you suggest just kills the pacing of the original Steins;Gate. Steins;Gate 0 was meant to be experienced after you know how the original ends.

TL;DR: don't listen to this guy, watch it in release order, as it meant to be the way by the authors. Also, before watching 0, it is suggested to read the VN for a better understanding.

You didn't said either that this is only recommended for rewatch, so it can confuse the new watchers.

So Beta World Line Okabe takes the rest of the lab members years later to film himself for the D-Mail to pre-Steins Gate World Line Okabe (also Beta?) After filming, he boards the time machine that goes and saves Suzuha and Mayuri during the pre-historic era which explains the visions he had of Mayuri in a wasteland from the original Steins;Gate. At the same time, Beta World Line Mayuri goes back to ensure that her younger Beta self bitch slaps Okabe so he comes to his sense. XD

I give this a 9/10. While I thought it was great, it wasn't as great as Steins;Gate which I gave a 10.

Will we never know who Kagari's birth parents are??? It's just coincidence that she looks so much like Kurisu.

Those are not related. One of them takes place 70 million years ago, and one of them takes place in BC 18000

Probably because this anime is a continuation of the visual novel, and doesn't explain plenty of things because of this.
The visual novel is several instances of this Okabe, whereas the anime is the final instance of him (which relied on the previous Okabes)

I originally gave this anime a 5/10, especially when I read the VN after it, but then finding out this information and then rewatching the anime I can give it a 7/10 for sure.
But damn, honestly, Steins;Gate 0 takes too much to understand. A drama CD, a trilogy of light novels based on that CD, then finally the Steins;Gate 0 VN inspired by (and to an extent, based on) those light novels, where the anime adaptation is a continuation of it. Then not to mention all the references to other SciADV entries, like the sumo stickers and such. The Chaos;Child anime changed the stickers' designs too, not to mention it's ruined by time constraints.
And for those reasons, to everyone who claims S;G0 is better than S;G, enjoy trying to actually understand everything that happens in it. Especially the anime-onlies.

They connected this to the original pretty well, considering they unlikely planned for this to exist back when they worked on the original.

I guess Yuki's hand being injured right after that anonymous assailant attacked was pointless then? I assume they wanted her to be the assailant but scrapped the idea? Not sure.

Actually they planned it. Steins;Gate VN released in 2009, and in 2010, they started to fill in the Beta worldline with material. In 2010, Arclight of the Point of Infinity drama cd came (the story of Mayuri going back to the past - though ot was a bit different back then). In 2012-2013, the Epigraph Trilogy, a series of short stories released. This covers almost the half of the story of Steins;Gate 0.

And later, in 2014, they decided to make Steins;Gate 0 VN based on Arclight+Epigraph trilogy, with additional original content. Thentm the VN released in 2015, followed by the anime in 2018.

Can't believe this series is over, now I'm finally off to get the og series off of "on hold".But man, just reading each episode thread, there were WAAAAAY too many people nitpicking and complaining about this series. Like ok, I get that it's not like the VN, I've never seen it myself, but I get that, but goodness there was a lot of complaining. I'm not innocent of complaining, I let my voice be heard about The Promised Neverland Season 2 multiple times. This wasn't perfect either, like the Kagari thing left a bit to be desired, but I still love it nonetheless. Og series is still better though

Okabe saving Mayuri and Suzuha wayyyyy back in the past is truly the most HYPE moment of this anime

Overall, S;G 0 anime is quite a strange one with it not really being an "adaptation" but more of a "continuation" of the final ver of S;G 0 Okabe that succeed in making the path to the Steins Gate worldine. The original anime is still better imo but when comparing the VNs I'll still go with 0 than the original

That was quite an ending, kinda similar to EP24. But in SG;0 he has to find Suzuha and Mayurii somewhere. I never thought SG;0 would be this good. It was a dark and difficult ride. A lot of emotional moments but there were some happy moments inbetween.

Damn BC18000 but Okabe found them!

The characterdev. was even better here imo (mayuri, daru, okabe etc..), the op and ed were amazing.

9/10

frfr though. they played up how to really have a truly infinite anime. within the anime. i have a lot of theories and a lot to say. but just wow. i didnt really expect them to go so far as to actually bring about steins gate in this anime. i didnt expect them to find the one line to rule them all. of course we dont know if they do yet still. it was great to see that ending. and its actually great to see how everything came together to pave the way for the original steins gate anime. but it makes everything from even the very beginning logical. i love every single character in this as well but ill say the one that really turns my head the most for some reason is Moeka in this. despite the very much lack of screen time and development, for some reason i just love how much more confident she looks but only also because shes on the good side in this line. i just cant wrap my head around why im so happy seeing her like this though. she definitely looks a lot better in this anime than in the og.

its also crazy to think, that despite Okabe being the only one to remember anything.. how many different world lines everybody is willing to sacrifice themselves in order for people that are not even technically them to live the perfect life. although i think Taru and Loli were overall too hard on Kyouma and he didnt actually deserve that because he really did go through 10000x more than anybody else would possibly have to in any of the world lines.

We KNOW that they do. This was just the story of the other Okabe, who sent the Operation Skuld video to S;G Okabe. And S;G Okabe reaches Steins Gate, as you saw it in Steins;Gate. Thanks to the help of 0 Okabe.

well technically in this line alone we dont get to see it of course. but there might yet still be work to have been done to make the original line what it was without him knowing it as well.

These lines do not exist in parallel. Only1 exist at any given time. This one will cease to exist when Suzuha departs in 2036

Idk how to explain the disappointment i have after finishing steins gate 0.
It started well as i could relate to okabe guilt feelings, as he couldn't save his dearest person, but as the plot progressed he started to play the victim, trampling on others feelings, blaming his colleagues until daru's punch woke him up.
and the question i had through all the anime is :
How is mayushi fault that kirusu got killed?
What is kirusu sacrifice so that mayushi can live? As she had to be killed there, because of the attractor field and the convergence thing... (if someone can explain)

Other than okabe petty acts, the plot wasn't any good, as if the script writer had no idea where he was going, which let to many plot holes, mediocre event and even the message he wanted to transmit wasn't done properly.

I give this 4 out of 10
And if i had a d-mail, i'll send a message to myself to not watch this and stop after the original 🙃

This sounds like you didn't watch the original... What exactly is your question? Okabe had to leave the Alpha Attractor field to save Mayuri (since she dies there, no matter what). By doing this he ends up in Beta, where Kurisu dies. So he had to sacrifice Kurisu so Mayuri can live. This all happened in S;G

Wdym by plotholes and that the "message wasn't done" properly?

I finished rewatching this a couple days ago. This is like my third time through the entire S;G series. I can say without hesitation that 0 is a far inferior product than the original. But that's not exactly a bold statement or anything.

The MAIN problem with this show is the SOL elements. Most of it is outright terrible. Some of those early episodes were an absolute chore to watch. Just pure cringe and not funny at all. There's just no way to bring this huge cast together for a second time without it seeming forced as hell.

Another thing that bothers me is how often it revisits the tragic circumstances of the original. Constantly bringing Kurisu back only to kill her off again. It's just cheap, lazy, disrespectful and exploitative. I hate that about this show. I hate it so much.

The writing improves dramatically during the second half when the SOL elements finally go away but there's still a lot of plot holes and contrivances.

Well for one Okabe had to time leap 3000 times to travel back 11 years or something? In all those years he's still carrying the same phone. Even in the midst of ww3, the service didn't go out. Actually I just realized the comatose Okabe couldn't possibly answer a phone.

Comatosed Okabe has some device attached to his head which you can clearly see, so he can receive a time leap anytime via that. It doesn't have to be a phone.

Carrying the same phone I wouldn't call a plothole. Yes, it is weird, but it is not something which is impossible.

Pretty sure Valkyrie use a private service developed and maintained by Daru for telecommunication similarly to RINE in the early 2010s (which was also developed by him)

Anything else? Because these are hardly plotholes :D

Freest 10/10 of my life. Absolutely phenomenal ending and phenomenal series. Really tragic how the Okabe who went through so much will never be able to be the Okabe who sees Steins Gate after all of his suffering and effort. Thematically fitting that he kept his promise to Mayuri. Absolutely loved this series. May end up doing a fuller write-up in the future but I think this stands on par with the original series and in many ways surpasses it. There's still a lot about the original series I did like more but I can't deny this was ab absolutely incredible experience.
