| This episode was one of my favorites! I loved Kumiko-chan and the "Oh sugoi!" was hilarious. "Senpai is becoming like everyone else" had me in tears! I was not a big fan of the drama that's coming up with Ippo's mom, but I realize it's necessary for the story. |
| Ippo's still a kid ^^' once you get older, you pick up on the little things easier. If your mom fell asleep where she normally wouldn't, something is def wrong. I could tell she was extra tired bc he's been neglecting the fishing boat company ;[ Also. Ippo is rank 5. He needs to have a more intimidating aura when he needs to, like when other ppl egg him on or make fun of his friends -.- Ppl can't recognize him outside of the ring bc he's still "wimpy" smh. I guess it's a good thing since that's his personality, but still. It can be inconvenient/frustrating at times .-. Oh wells. First half was lighthearted and fun tho X) Kumiko-chan's character design could've been cuter since she's an idol and all. But this art style is outdated, so it's fine I guess lol |

| Ippo took the path of least resistance and he ended up getting the most fun with everyone's favorite idol! Yamada actually got fairly ripped and even successfully obtained his professional license. I like how the part where he gave the knockout punch wasn't shown until after it had an effect since that only made me a lot more excited for his actual debut. Ippo's mom was supportive of his life choices all the way but she ended up getting hospitalized as a result. I knew that something like this was bound to happen sooner than later and I can't help but feel bad for them. It's very unfortunate that things led up to this especially when something as important as his fight with Volg is coming up. |

| Oh man, completely lost it during the first part, especially Aoki licking the glove killed me xD Congrats to Yamada for getting his license. The pervy trio showed that they got him when it counts. But poor Mom, what happened to her and how it affected Ippo hit different. |
