So this season we got two shows about guild/clan leaders that kinda bullshit their way to the top. This and notorious talker both had really good premieres, this one leans way heavier on the comedic side and it landed for me. Very funny premiere episode. I’m in love with Tino already and Krai getting misunderstood by everyone killed me. Reminded me of Ainz a bit. When he straight up said he’s horrible at judging people and just left the dude’s admission to the guild up to luck I lost it 😂

After we just finished Tensura last week, this basically Masayuki spin off if you think about it lmao. Poor thing just happened to find himself in a leadership role he’s not prepared to deal with. Can’t wait to see how he and Tino quest next week goes, excited

I always find myself trying to read the manga counterpart of this series but I've always lost interest and dropped it within a few chapters. The anime does feel a bit more entertaining so maybe I can at least get through this. Not really feeling it with Tino though, something about her is a bit off putting.

In the manga, as at the current chapter, it's somewhat a mix of both cases. He has tons of S grade artifacts that gives him some power but from what I have seen, it's like there's a dormant power sleeping within him that he knows nothing about.

One thing that I'm unsure of is if Krai is actually OP or not as he has mentioned he hasn't had direct combat experience and feels useless to his party but he's also lvl 8 and his party willingly promoted him to be the leader.

On a related note, Tino seems infatuated with him although she did try running away after he asked her to take care of the "chore" quest, maybe she thinks highly of him because of what her mentor (Krai's party member) may have said about him but hasn't seen him in action yet so I'm curious to see what Krai is capable of, beyond his talking/negotiating skills.

@IzanaSolos man saying the dude is OP. Lol. Did you see how scared he is of everyone? Slightest of signs of a fight and he tries to escape. Dude wanted an escort just so he could walk outside of the guild building. He even changed his face to a OP person(Ark) so that nobody thinks about fighting him.

This is not "misunderstanding" trope, it's something even better, it's "unreliable narration", the hero Krai lies to the audience, which is us, that he's just the ordinary guy but in fact he's very powerful, and his childhood teammates already know that.

With that said, I think the first episode is probably too fast. It has a very good editing skill compare to other anime but I'm afraid it's still not enough to handle this speed.

@IzanaSolos, I agree with you that the girls look like hentai characters, but the second part is a misunderstanding he is weak he does not have any special fighting abilities he is good at being a motivational speaker, and people think he is smart and powerful but he is not. his design looks like CID tho.

@phantomfandom my problem with this episode was the editing of the opening they cut half the opening and made a preview of the first episode then played the other half of the opening it was like trailer for a moment if you paid attention.

Let me explain for a while. I don't want to spoil everything because it might destroy the curiousity of the others.

Krai Andrey, his second moniker is Thousand Tricks (Infinite Variety from fan translation)
His rank is Level 8 (in anime and manga)

Levels
He is Certified Level 8 (the highest level for an individual)

Level 8 is considered as the peak of the normal heroes (S Class is compatible rank if you may ask).
Level 9 is considered as a political charm (Charisma is needed)
Level 10 is considered as the 'pinnacle of all heroes'.

Level 10 is the one that the Grievers (acronym of Grieving Souls) wanted to achieve.

Party
Master is the 'party leader' of Grieving Souls. Grieving Souls is the most powerful and youngest elite party of the continent.

Clan
Master is the 'elected' clan master of the First Steps. First Steps is renowned of voting their clan master instead of being ruled by powerful clan master.

Questions:
1. What is chore?
Chore is kind of penalty game. It is a type of probationary fee to pay for the crime.

2. Is Krai Andrey strong?
He is 'physically' weak, but he is 'mentally' the strongest. And the only thing he can be proud of is his 'handwriting'. However, physical strength is not what described an individual. By watching the anime series, you will laugh and uncover the secrets why he 'deserve' the title of the 'strongest treasure hunter' in the world.

3. What is the genre of the series?
It is a fantasy story which focus on the comedy. It is not an isekai, so I don't blame the other viewers who compared it to Tensei, Solo Leveling and other OP. I am quite happy that some people compared him to Cid, Ainz, and Masayuki.

4. Is this harem?
Depends on you. I don't want to answer that point. It is not even the focal point of the series.

5. Will he get stronger than before?
Well, kinda.

If you judge him quickly, drop it like the others, rate it below 6 and underestimate it. Then you will miss the fun. You fell for his trap.

Yikes, i remember reading this turd ages ago. We are at the point where they use dumb premises like this to have some kinda catch in the oversaturated fantasy genre.
But the premise is awful. Instead of fired but secretly OP, which caaaan be good, we have a wuss who got declared the leader who doesn't actually wanna be an adventurer. Barf.
The other "Talker" anime this season suffers from a dogshit premise as well.

Only good thing this ep were the thighs of the "Got ring" chick.

This is way better than I thought it'd be though. The OP is great, probably one of the better ones I've seen this season so far, and it's way more interesting than any other fantasy anime from this season too. I've been mostly skipping the fantasy anime and isekais this year because they've just felt really bland and boring; like they're all just a bit too similar or simply not interesting enough. For whatever reason though this one doesn't seem too bad. I'll stick around for now!

Really hope we get lots more of Tino's thighs and ass in future episodes too 🤤 From the preview at the end, it looks like we will!

Well animated fight sequences. Plus consistency in its quality.

The seiyuus did a great job so far. And, with something carried by its performances thats key here. So it looks like a decent run.

If it can manage that for its entire cour it'll be a 7/10.
