I was underwhelmed by this episode. It was nice getting some answers, but the pace was much too fast. There isn’t much of a purpose hiding what some characters saw/said if you are just going to show it a little later in the episode anyways. I felt this was a step back visually too, as there were quite a few moments where characters looked awkward while moving.

Did I miss the reasoning behind Hiling assassination? I suppose they will explain it later, but it seems quite drastical. This episode put into the table many questions to be answered, which is kind of cool. The whereabouts of Bojji's mom, the purpose of Bosse deeds, the underground world, and Hiling's assassination. I would like to see how it will play with Bojji's new purpose

Before this episode I was thinking about how lazy the concept of doing a supernatural training off-screen is, and how it is comparable of omitting words in the dialogue to provide an artificial sense of suspension, and they literally did that here lmao This sort of "hiding" to key points of the story doesn't really contribute much here, the capability of the reveals to surprise anyone is near zero because of how transparent all the other corners are

That's cause this episode was outsourced. Despite that, it still looked good enough.

So Miranjo practically made Bosse "sacrifice" another son, huh? And now she wants Hiling to be killed... well, quite the yandere mirror we have here, huh?

Honestly, not the best of episodes. It indeed felt kinda messy with so many different events being addressed without pauses or proper transitions.

While I said in the other thread that the pacing of the show overall is fine, this episode stands out as more fast paced and convoluted. A lot of information was unpacked, but we don't really know what they mean.

Hilling being a target, Bosse having made a pact that required Bojji's blood (and, presumably, strength), Bebin survived (which was obvious but we didn't know how and we still don't know exactly) etc.

The scene with Hokuro and Domas arguing was a pretty good moment of drama, though. It's nice when a story can still do a compelling conversation with an emotional conflict between characters over another character's death even though we already know Bojji is alive. It shows that they're are giving depth to these characters' choices and thought processes that surpasses the simple superficial facts of the plot.

So the reason Boji isn’t strong is because king Bosse automatically took Boji’s strength when he was born it makes sense but I don’t think he’s the bad guy the mirror is probably the main villain

Man, I just feel bad for Hiling throuhout all of this. I hope she isn't actually assassinated.

Really great episode! Also answers a lot of questions we've had so far. So, the reason Bojji's giant strength is gone is because it went to Bosse thanks to the deal with the devil. There's definitely more than meets the eye to Bosse, since he actually wanted his Bojji to live happily and it seems like he's also planning some things on his own behind Miranjo's back. The man's shoot his shot though, really went straight to "marry me and bear my child," and it worked lmao. I do wonder what Miranjo's goals are.

Let's fucking go, Bojji is the strongest now. Also glad Hokuro is fine, maybe he'll become as strong as Domas eventually under his tutelage. Daida is still conscious somewhere in his subconsciousness, that's great, so there's still hope for him to come back. Bebin is fine as well as expected, want to see him in action soon. Really looking forward to the next episode.

Alright, info dump episode. Its true Bossee had a pact with the demon, using Miranjo as the medium, and using Bojji as the source. Interesting. But there's still a missing info about how Miranjo become the magic mirror. But before that, ah, Bojji's mom. Quite a fine big woman i'd say, even though i must honest big woman wasn't really my thing xd. Still, really curious to know how she could die. Then maybe its also the time to adding the reason of why Bossee become sick like the first few episodes before. Or was that just a natural sickness and already the time for both of them to die? Dunno yet.

A lot of side character actually had their own screen time to tell their different separate side story, Domas, Dorche, even Bebin also surprisingly there! Its also included how Daida looks like still alive but trapped 'somewhere'. Whats goin on?

Nice episode. Focusing more and more onto the side character than the main one is always welcome to me, while keep steadily continuing the plot to progress by dumping those much info. Really looking forward to see the next....

Only thing I can guess is that the Lady in the mirror made a deal that if she brought back Bosse, that he would provide her a body in return.

After sacrificing Bojji's strength and health, Bosse realized and regretted his actions so he decided to make amends by making a good life for Bojji (perhaps at the same time wanting to make Bojji the strongest human being without having to make a pact with a demon like himself).

But in order to do that, he "sacrifice" Daida.. who as far as we know, his second child. I hope Bosse has good plans for Daida too. I hope Queen Hilling doesn't die either.. after all we know that she loves Bojji very much. But I'm curious, how did Bosse and Hilling get married? And what caused Bojji's mother to die?

This is getting boring. Everyone and everything is too mild. Oh, this person tried to assassinate the prince, let's execute him. That makes sense. But, what's this?! Turns out the prince's alive so let's not execute him then. I mean what?! Is that how things usually go realistically? This anime has a very loose social structure to be realistically believable. Not to mention that now all of a sudden little Bojji is the strongest person in the world? There goes the intrigue of what the rest of the world might hold in store. The plot armor for that dumb and deaf kid was already too thick, now this... Smh.

The real reason why Bojji didn't have strength like his father King Bosse...is because he did a dirty deed to steal from his own son instead. Welp, call yourself a righteous father?

Some nice backstory between Bojji's parents, and that Bojji's mom just inherently fought with Bosse over strength. I can't imagine that pickup line working though: "to marry and bear my child", that sounds so cheesy.

The power of the Devil (plus the servant beside Bosse which now I'd believe was Miranjo all along) really is the reason why Bosse fled from Bojji and his mom, and now that Miranjo has taken over Daida's body with King Bosse's incantation in him, whoever is on Bojji's side must be executed regardless.

The naviety of the mother Hiling to see Hokuro being executed, and as much as Domas barely saved him from death, Miranjo's vision of the current Bojji sure saved some harm. Pretty sure that what King Bosse in Daida's body told Domas to go find Bojji in the underworld with Hokuro, that's the only way he can live after being banished out of the kingdom. Think of it as a service to destroy Bojji but partly related in small bits.

For Bebin, he's as expected to be alive, but to suffer through his past as one of King Bosse's servants, the snake god sure repaid that favour. For Bojji, having mastered the Despa Arts, wondering what he can do now.

Daida will forever be shrouded in darkness unless somebody saves him, and this is only just the beginning of finding the light.

One third into the story, and it's only getting better.

Just waiting for Hiling to be revealed as his sister…

Yup....

Imagine daidas being their kid, aka king jeoffery. It fits pretty well actually: everyone thinks Daidas is the son of King Bosse (Robert Baratheon), when he is actually the result of Hilling getting it on with Domas (who is basically what Jaime Lannister was, a one-handed but skilled kingsguard who attempted murder on a young kid by pushing them from a high place LOL. And he's blond....)

Now the problem is, if it's anything like got, halfway through ousama ranking it's going to turn to shit
I noticed the similarities between jeoffery as Daida and Hiling as Cerci but the rest you shed the light on so much landmines damn, what a pop culture reference running so deep, coincidence be it or intentional it's really witty.

I wonder how Bojji became that strong. Since he is not physically strong he almost certainly became strong in magic. It appears that his wanker of a father only stole his physical strength (and size + hearing), not his mana or however magic works in that world.

Speaking about his wanker father and his deal with that demon, with the mirror bitch acting as an intermediate, the story suddenly started resembling Dororo, in more than a few ways. However it looks like Bosse plots to put an end to the mirror bitch's ongoing plans (since she surely plans to do the same with Bosse's grandsons, great-grandsons etc) by destroying the portal to the Underworld in secret. Bosse might even be the one who locked her in that mirror, in order to reduce her power and influence.

King Bosse is a supreme hypocrite. He did not hesitate at all to sacrifice his yet unborn child in the altar of his stupid ambition and yet when he saw how small and weak he was he started getting emotional and pledged to do everything for his first son - out of guilt, of course. Is it too late for him to be redeemed? If he kills Hilling it will be. Poor Hilling was expendable from the very start...

I did not quite get why exactly she ordered to have that guy killed. Was it a 'kill the messenger' thing or because he was unable to protect Bojji from Domas? Would it have ever been possible for him to defeat Domas?

We didn't knew he was the strongest before so it was interesting to see his journey to become someone on his own. Now, he's cutting up boulders and already is the strongest person in the world? Where do we go from here? His journey for strength has ended. Now the only interesting thing remaining is the fate of Queen Hilling. Bosse resurrection is a detriment for me. I don't care for him one bit. His story is over for me. And Bojji has too strong of a plot armor. We already know nothing's gonna happen to him. There's been no sense of danger for the entirety of the show. As I said, it's too mild.

The character art of this anime is absolutely garbage. There are barely any shadows on them. And the ever present edge highlight is an eyesore. Why didn't they get rid of that highlight and drew shadows instead? The eyes have no detail in them. The hair have no detail in them. The costume design is too simplistic. Shame how a studio that once created artistic masterpieces like Attack on Titan and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, have now devolved to this level. This character art is simply sub par. Lol, do you know this is based on a manga and that's how the original manga artwork looks like? AOT and Kabaneri? Masterpieces? Lol, yeah sure. Then again, considering how you mostly posts in the forum when you want to start trash talking, I'm not surprised. Of course, your answer to everyone commenting on your trash posts basically boils down to "no, you're wrong, I'm right, I'm better than you" or some variations of that. Probably dismisses Ping Pong the Animation and Flowers of Evil because of how they look. You need to start appreciating art.

Even low tier seasonal trash anime have better artwork than this.
How can you Trash talk about Ousama Ranking's Art style keeping Clannad as your favourite anime !?
