To quote from the article it says: "... the project was in jeopardy because the studio initially wanted to lose "the demon [Ryuk]. [They] don't want the kid to be evil…." It really p***** me of that they want to change everything about what made the Anime so great. It's quite obnious that the people running the studio have absolutely no idea what Death Note is about. All I have to say is you can make whatever movie you want. Just don't call it Death Note. | Unlike 99% of the live-action movies, I have high expectations on this one. I mean, besides the Shinigamis, Death Note doesn't need lots of special effects (which usually ruin those movies like "Dragon Ball" Evolution(aaargh)). Altough the japanese live-action was pretty lame... |

| The death note movie isn't a bad idea. Depending on the execution, it could prove to be a hit. But honestly, they always take a big risk when they import these Japanese series on to the big screen. |
