| A typical first episode of Gintama. > Gin changed into Goku > Kagura became Umiboze: women edition > Shinpachi didn't change > Saduharu transformed into a human > Kondo and Otae are married > Kyu-chan became genderless or male > Zura became Zurako A fantastic beginning, laughed my ass off. Gintama is finally in 16:9, I'm going to miss the old resolution. Well, you knew since the beginning that 2 years didn't pass because the intro said ''twenty years ago'' xD The OP is good but the ED is much better imo. I love the animations from it too. Espically curious why Gin's tan in one of them LOL. Sadly, the translators don't put notes above the references anymore. Looking forward for more episodes. This is such a great beginning. |

| EXPECTED NOTHING LESS FROM THE SECOND SEASON OF MY FAV ANIME OF ALL TIME banger of an opening already 4th fav gintama opening i paused gintama for what like 2 months? and i just thought i will watch 1 episode of season2 i.e Gintama' today and watch rest after a year.. but damn and i mean damn is already trying to replace my favourite season from Gintama to Gintama' ... first we get to see greatest dragonball character ever gintoki.. then kagura went from best girl and must protect......... to a grown up top tier waifu body like it was nothing... (fbi open up) shinpachi is suffering more than ever and making me laugh my lungs out..(its literally paining i am not joking) sadaharu is old man with god knows what that was then it all of a sudden becomes emotional even though the reason for that scene was just a funny over the top gintama thing..then it talks about heart crunching stuff like leaving shinpachi behind and when i am almost tearing up otoae chan is married to gorilla like what the actual fuck (that was the best scene) then kyubei is reversed and zura looks fine af wheww... i love this already..... GOATAMA FOREVER |

| ok, this is amazing already, starting with an already great combination of opening song and meta introduction and proceeding with Gintoki dressed as a Dragon Ball character inventing Yamcha flashbacks or Kagura all grown up "Didn't you find anything good to do during last year of reruns episodes?" Sadaharu's tail specifically watched the movie with Terry Silver? Now i'm asking if it would enjoy his return in Cobra Kai season 4 (i did, for example, it was my favorite along with the second one) NO. NO. NO. NO. This episode can't be canon and Shinpachi is right for screaming. And Tae not only is married to the ape-man, is also pregnant with his child? IMPOSSIBLE. Shin-sengumi-pachi, lol. "Are you f...... kidding me?" Indeed. Damn, this was a great return. |

| I'm so happy to see this first episode being just as amazing as the others, I laughed too much in the first part. Everything is too weird, but I can't wait to see what happened to Hijikata and Hasegawa. I was expecting Katsura's change to be something more extreme, like him being the head of the Shinsengumi. And now I don't remember how many times I've listened to this ending but it's my favorite one, amazing opening as well. |

| rewatch time baby! this has to be my favourite OP and ED combo, nothing makes me smile quite like these two themes… and for two completely different reasons. anyways thinking about this season kicking off with the premise of “let’s gaslight shinpachi” and that’s so valid. and that they took the 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ratio change and also made it into a gag, god i love gintama. zurako my beloved |
