Amazing adaptation of jinwoo vs beru, probably give it a 10/10 for enjoyment and 9/10 objectively. readability and some of the panels not being well adapted, or being QUITE LITERALLY BUTCHERED, kinda pissed me off, especially how sudo and his drawings should have been on this ep imo, instead of ep11. Feels like a waste. imagine wating a crazy amount of years to see your favorite panels get ruined like cmon A1. Wasn't the biggest fan of the part A, but part B really was spectacular. was cool to see some anime only scenes like beru using the ice magic. Where tf is his strength form? He went straight to speed. where are my bois J'S??

Big Jinwoo man fawwwwk. Went aura for aura with the bug “champion” Beru and as usual, Jinwoo came out on top.

This was definitely the furthest he’d been pushed in a long time though, came within a few millimetres of losing his eye if not for that skill unlock. A-1 and Sawano fed us as usual, fight was amazing, the best of the season and up there with the best in the series, wish it would’ve lasted a little longer and Beru could’ve put up more of a fight but we move.

Beru crawling away from Jinwoo at the end had me dying 😭 all that talk about wanting to fight the human “king”.. be careful what you ask for.

Noo, they better save my baby Cha.. So the elixir of life doesn’t cover every illness? Well that was a waste of like 50ml of it lmao. Presumably there’s only one bottle in existence so you wanna save that as much as possible. Also, what would be covered by the elixir then if not all ailments can be cured 🤔

Finale next week should be really good, she already had a thing for Jinwoo now she’s gonna be even more in love lol.

Edit: lmao just got banned for 3 days from r/anime for this comment because I used “Beru’s” name which is apparently a spoiler? I never even read the manwha I just assumed buddy’s name was common knowledge because of the comments here and on twitter.

Yea I’ve been using that sub 8 years now and have had issues a few times with the source corner rules which is why I don’t even discuss series I read in there anymore because of how dumb the rules with skipped content are. Like I only use the RZ sub for talking about RZ episodes since it’s almost impossible to discuss series I read the LN for without discussing the quality of the adaptation.

But in this case, I’ve never read SL I just got the dudes name from people in threads like this 💀

This anime, with its latest chapters, has kept getting better and better, always leaving us wanting more. A great battle with solid animation. However, I can't help but wonder how this fight would have looked if it had been animated by Ufotable, a studio that specializes in battle sequences. I'm not saying that A-1 Pictures did a bad job, but I feel that with Ufotable, the battles in Solo Leveling could have reached an even more legendary level, especially this last one.

To wrap things up, once again, the ending left us hanging at the best moment 😅

Good episode. I expected a bit more from some of storyboards but ended up enjoying it more on re-watch.

Didn't like the transition from aura to no aura for tv break that was just off-putting. Enjoyed some of the changes from the manhwa compared to previous changes made by A1.

Absolute goated Jinwoo. Absolute peak episode. The whole fight scene was adrenaline packed. Even though there were just wizzing lines here and there, it honestly conveyed the agility of them both. Can't wait for the finale.

Altho no one cares but I can see that Solo Leveling actually copied a lot from other anime/manga.

Beru from HxH Meruem
Beru and Jinwoo fight where both of them blinking around similar to Saitama vs Boros
When Beru trying to escape, Jinwoo literally use the spinning slash from AoT's Levi technique
The last hit "Mutilation" is literally the Star Burst Stream from SaO

Mindblowing epic fight scene from Solo Leveling S02E12.

This is probably the most adrenaline-pumping, action-packed, top-tier shonen anime this season and even overall!

once again the animation was amazing but the fight itself lacked a sense of actual threat, it became clear ealry on that this enemy was waaaay below Sun Jinwoo, i dont like this type of one sided massacre, not too fun imo
also gotta say, this enemymade the other S class Hunters look like jobbers but then Jinwoo defeated this guy without that much trouble, Jinwoo needs a new clasification like SSS Hunter

all that aside i dont consider this a "rip off Hunter X Hunter" this enemy dpesnt have any character development unlike Meruem, also his fight much different, Meruem was the one dominating the good guys, this guy destroyed rather easily an worth mentioning this guys actually looks like an ant unlike the chimera ants that looked more like any other animal

@RodIshiCi It's weird because in the manhwa Matsumoto literally pulls up the Korean broadcast to see what is happening. They seemingly cut that though? Lots of weird changes this episode. Honestly was a bit disappointed with what they changed.

@Suha seemed odd to me, too. Then again, it wasn't the only thing changed.

If any anime-onlys want to know the changes from the manhwa, here are some. I guess I'll spoiler them, and maybe won't list every change:

Besides that, here are two reminders:
His entire goal when becoming a hunter was to cure his mom and support his family. Mom's cured, and he's loaded. He was pretty much ready to retire before he saved them, that's why he didn't go in the beginning. Beru appearing was basically the equivalent of killing John Wick's dog.

Japan's original plan was to fall back, let the ants converge on the nest and massacre the Koreans, have teams 1 and 2 join up, go back in and wipe out the rest of the ants. Their cover story was going to be that they were forced to fall back because the ants were stronger than expected, went back in with reinforcements to try to rescue the Koreans, but were "tragically" too late. There is no direct mention of how strong team 2 is, but I would assume it's a larger team of weaker hunters, like A and B ranks. Having their backup be stronger than their strike plan would look too fishy for the scenario they were aiming for, after all.

As for the different treatment between Korean and Japanese hunters, idk on that one. It could be that for the Japanese (the ones before the queen was killed) he was simply "hunting" them. Efficiency is part of hunting, so he just decapitates them. Once he sees the dead queen, he decides to make them pay, so he's no longer hunting them, he's tormenting them now. Since he can read memories by eating things, at this point, he knows 2 important facts. Cha finished off the queen, and they have a healer. You could say he failed to control his strength for the first hit, and that's why she's in critical condition compared to everyone else. Nobody after that was fatally wounded, just incapacitated. He probably traced the mana from the heals to kill Byung-Gu. This was the only intentionally lethal attack against the Koreans. Then he decides to kill their king as payback, and just assumes Goto is their king since he's the strongest one on the island. I think the first attack against Goto was intentionally weakened so he could block it, just so he could essentially explain why he was going to die. At this point, he's mostly back in hunting mode, going for headshots. Then Jinwoo is there by the time he gets back from his Goto hunt. This part is all my personal theory, and the only way I can get the writing to make sense.

Ep still looked great to me, though.
