| Starting off with a look at a bit of Alya's past and how she met Masachika. Then we get introduced to Alya's older sister Masha, who clearly knows Masachika, but for now it seems they just go and do some errands. |

| It was nice to see more of Alya's past at her school in Russian and how she felt regarding the other students, so her history with MC started with that dance at the school festival ahah that's cute. Now he even got the right to call her by her surname but seems like the "boyfriend" that Alya's sister is always speaking of might be MC and she started to realize it... also interesting to see more of MC's backstory at the end and how he was separated from his sister because his parents decided to live separately. |

I love the backstory to how Kuze and Alya become closer, and why Kuze is allowed to call Alya by her nickname.
I noticed that Masha seemed to test Kuze's understanding of Russian, which is why I suspect that Masha's 'Sa-kun' is Kuze, or at least alluding to both having a previous connection.
Although, I'm not sure how my suspicions tie in if 'Sa-kun' is already Masha's boyfriend but I guess I'll find out later in the series (or in later seasons).

| This episode was so interesting given the lore of Alya and Kuze. The tidbit of lore from Alya's older sister and the subtle nod to her role in this story threw me off heavily! I thought she'd be a supporting character, not a full blown love interest! The Japanese culture spread out through this episode was always nice to see and I can't wait to see how the plot thickens! Also, am I bugging or is there a different outro for every episode? |

In the last episode discussion I mentioned how I found it weird that Kuze doesn't remember Alya from his childhood, because Alya seemed to remember him. Well, I was completely wrong.
This episode revealed that Alya only got to know Kuze at high school, and honestly their story was so cute! Really loving their chemestry and their stories.
I related a lot with Alya's feelings of wanting to try her best and come up with the best work possible, but others not giving the work the needed attention, because at school, in group works, as a perfectionist, I always wanted to present a nearly perfect work, the best we could make, but the other group members usualy would just slack off and not put in the right work, so I would have just to make my part, and their parts too, because I couldn't send the work without everything being properly done... So what could be a fun and important experience, always turned into something I hated due to how much work I had to put onto it, while others were just slacking off. I'm glad that Alya got to experience the good part of being a group project in her highschool years though! Group works are not always bad!
Anyway, is Masha really Alya's sister? When she talked about Saa, and showed the little pendant, I straigh away though "Oh gosh, he was friends with Alya's older sister, another Russian girl" and, for what it seems, Masha still has some feelings for him after all these years... And Kuze also seems to sense that he knows her too. Oh well, I wasn't expecting things to turn up like these, I really hope this matter can turn for the matter in the future, considering Masha and Alya are sisters.
We also got to know a bit more of Kuze's backstory, and it honestly seems so sad :(
Now it makes sense on why Yuki and Kuze live in different houses!

| @PokefanPT Well, I had an assignment from school to learn about the Post Office. I also took pictures of buildings for the exhibition. Back in the 90s. With a film camera. I had a Kodak soapbox. I brought back five photos for the wall newspaper and it was wow. In 1998 I gave my female classmates five pages of information about the Spice Girls that I had copied from the internet. It was a blast. After that I dated twins. So what's my point? The Japanese are stuck in the past. Time stopped for them in the late 90s, early 00s, and innovation was very slow to trickle down to them. It's only recently that they've had inflation and economic growth again. They've been stagnant for 30 years. Price tags in shops, vending machines, subways haven't changed for years. My cousin was an exchange student in Fukuoka in the late 1990s. She was very surprised by the way people live in Japan. Things that were ubiquitous and the norm in Vladivostok, such as PCs for almost everyone and smartphones that were just starting to appear, were a novelty there. So a lot of the practices are from the Japanese schools of the 80s and 90s. And they think it's probably the same in other places. For Japan, by the way, getting around, getting to know the community is the normal task. |
