| All of this episode falls apart in shambles when you aren't invested in Maomao and Jinshi's relationship—which this anime does a very poor job at establishing—and how does Maomao tank a baton to the face from a man whos triple her weight? This whole thing is so melodramatic. This anime did such a poor job at establishing the two main characters' relationship that I was advocating for the guards to stop Maomao. Just more of Maomao being obnoxiously perfect in everything the plot needs. |

| Maomao T---T she's so brave!! I'm expecting that Jinshi will protect him but I didn't know he's in that ceremony and what ceremony is that? The ending scene feels like a KDRAMA!!!! |

| Why is Jinshi just slowly walking out with Mao Mao? Why isn't he running, calling for assistance? Everyone just too stunned to do anything? The scene reminds me of Wangquan Fugui carrying wounded Qing Tong in Huyao Xiao Hongniang |

| So many of these mysteries were all connected to an assassination attempt on Jinshi.....wow. My only question is was Lakal the mastermind or not. |

| Wow, they finally connected the past events. Certainly elevated the show for me. It would look like Lakan is the mastermind but I doubt this will be the case. |

| Lihaku came to Maomao and said something was stolen during the warehouse incident. Turns out a lot of things are connected. She explained it all to Jinshi. Upon Jinshi’s mention of Ox Bezoar, she got super excited. Maomao figured something but it’s still not backed by proof. But just as she expected, the pillar fell. She leaped in and saved the noble, only to realise that the noble is none other than Jinshi himself. Even in her battered state, she asks for Ox Bezoar. She faints and he carries her out of the ceremonial palace. But damn, why is he walking at a stable pace instead of running. Even after recognising who was behind her, Maomao didn’t turn to look at the face of her biological father. |

| went into this show expecting it to be about an apothecary just making medicine but man this show is far better than I i initially expected; I kinda thought all the mysteries she was solving were just one off instances that weren’t that important but it seems everything was connected for this one ceremony I can’t wait to find out the rest of what’s going on |

| Wow that's a carefully intricate plan to assassinate Jinshi... Well, I kinda understand that, that guard is just doing his job, but to hit a young girl with a club is just fcking too much! Tho, good thing that her father is there to vouch for her. |

| That was Fucking INSANE. The sheer SCALE of this plan!!! - the prince conducts ceremonies under a weighty pillar - the pillar is held by ceremonial tools which barely hold the weight - demote the beaurecrat who questioned the pillar's danger to working in the archives - oversalt the manager who knows what tools are used for what - incapacitate the replacement manager with seaweed - noone knows what tools are used for so it gets stored haphazardly in a warehouse - fill a nearby warehouse with flour - give a random guard a pipe - create a flour explosion - steal the ceremonial tools using the distraction - kill the craftsman who made the tool to begin with - his less experienced sons make the replacement tool - wait for the replacement tool to be used in a ceremony - dead royal !!!!!!!!!!!!! INSANE |

| Ending was indulgent. But this episode highlights a couple problems I've had, regarding Kusuriya. One of which is how much of Maomao's intelligence relies on others lacking deductive reasoning. How did no one else connect all the victims of various food related deaths all had the same occupation? If one manager after another died or became ill in the same manner, there would immediately be suspicion, given it's a prestigious position. I much enjoy the series overall, particularly in terms of character relationships, but the detective & mystery aspect of the story has some flaws. |
