Not at all, you're a Pedo-bear and I didn't quite understand your second question, Itami will get his doujinshis in end and his soul belongs to Rory, he is bonded to Leilei and Tuka will be his adopted daughter

It was open ending, Zorzal and Tyuule escaped, so it will be concluded at later time.

The 2nd sentence was a statement, not a question.

Sure call me Pedo-Bear if you like. I meant I liked their shiping the most because once Sherry had decided Sugawara was going to be her husband there was nothing stopping it. Guy got put in lock by a child 1/3 to 1/2 his age. Everyone from the Gate (Imperial) side knew it. That was their culture, and it helped that Sherry was not one to be deterred. Not to mention it made for great humor.

Well Itami has 1/20 age of Rory and nobody say nathing! xD

I like Sugawara x Sherry he said he'll respect the law :)

Loved it when Itami faced of the prince and showed him how weak he is. So revenge didn't pay out for Tyuule even though she was successfull, that concept just doesen't work for everyone, poor girl.

Pretty solid ending I must say, quite a happy ending for some of the men :p but he still didn't managed to buy his doujinshi xD

I do wonder if we'll see a third season, as well the whole story is not really finished but well this still makes a good closure of what we already had.

All in all a second great season I must say!

Great finale climax but we are left with disappointing conclusion.itami returns to be a loser even though he is surrounded by pussies. No further explanation of the gate origin nor the world interference with Japan policies, and the shady emperor has a change of heart.

It's been long time since I gave 10/10 to anime, but finally I found something worth it. I guess I was biased since the very beginning when Itami killed enemy solier - finally MC who does what has to be done while still being normal (more or less lol) person.
Then other characters: Rory and Lelei were so awesome that just one of them could make average anime solid one.
Battle scenes made me grin like stupid, both military (awesome effects btw) and Rory's axe swinging animation.
I hope rest of novel will be adapted!

Officially, it would be Tuka, Lelei and Rory in the harem, however unofficially Pina and Yao would be included.. 8.25/10

Poor Yao. She says in the manga that she wants the kind of relationship with Itami that the other girls have. But, in the end, she doesn't get a trip to Japan. Of course, Rory, Lelei, and Tuka have already been there, so Gen. Hatami knows they can handle it.

Conclusion was lackluster. That's it? The lack of struggle on the JSDF's side against Zol makes for a poor story. I was hoping for something more complicated.

Saying that, the one-on-one battles were fun to watch though. Also when they took down the dragon. Slaughtering armies in the last few episodes not so much, however.

Overall enjoyable.

This series had so much potential if only the gate had closed after episode 1 after China and Nato rushed in too. Then at least there would have been some excitement and mystery, some pressure to conserve ammo and some political and survival element. Also we wouldn't always have known who'd win.

Alas, we did know who would win as the series was afraid of killing ANYONE of importance.
As it stands, it was enjoyable but I am glad it's over...

The showdown with Zolzal was a bit underwhelming. His trump card, the ogre, went down a bit to fast, but that was to be expected, since Itami had his supernatural harem by his side. The only way to make this more complicated, would be to create a Deus ex machina and that would be even worse. Let's say another demigoddess/demigod pops up and fights Rory or Zolzal has a magician/several magicians at his disposal all of a sudden. They could have done that and would have made it more exciting, but it would be a bit too much of an asspull.

This is just my imagination but Tyuule would be satisfied if SDF had destroyed the capital; Zolzal got killed and even Tyuule herself was burnt in the inferno under the war. Because that really was her revenge against the Empire. (It's like the remnants of a defeated army attacked Italica to find the place they should die.)
The SDF was, however, too smart for her desire to come true. They didn't need to attack the capital at all. All Itami and his team had to do were just sneaking into the right place only and taking back the right persons, and then getting Zolzal to give up his assassination plan about Lelei. They never meant to attack or destroy the empire's entire capital. The moment Zolzal challenged to Itami, he ignored that and just retrieved Pina and gave him the ultimatum.

It's true Zolzal is the loser decisively. But, so was Tyuule. She couldn't have the chance to taste the nectar of the vengeance...
I don't mean to justify what she had been doing there but when I saw she was almost in an abstracted state, I guess I have to honestly admit I felt sorry for her.

That would be one route, but I was actually hoping that the Empire had more up its sleeve strategically. Even though the JSDF are OP, the battle was too one-sided to be entertaining. The Empire has lots of resources and capita, so seeing them go down so easily is pathetic (even with the power difference).

I wouldn't expect it from Zolzal, but maybe if one of the ministers or someone else had a secret plan that did some damage to the JSDF, it would be more interesting. But the resistance was very weak. The Pied Piper plot was discovered quite easily and there were no real tactical surprises in the overall scheme of things. I guess I've been spoiled by battle-centered series like Kingdom, so lighthearted warfare like this feels lacking and doesn't satisfy me.

It was a great anime and I am sad to see it ending. The end is also very good, and it would be very satisfying if I didn't knew that there is more material and this is where it ends. I am hoping for a new season. Until then there is still manga, but it feels really different.

Kuribayashi is ready to beat up Zolzal so bad that he forgets his own name!
They're already here Zolzal and Kuribayashi is READY.
YOO Leilei doing that Harry Potter flying stick shit
Giant Ogre doesn't matter, we got a blushing Rory here to fuck it up
Pina rescued from impel down.
Some explosives and the horse squad gets obliterated.
"Urusai Damare!!" yup we got another Nobunobu up here.
The way Pina is entering with the flags raised and shit and the music as well, it reminds me of when Japan was on the national stage in Inazuma Eleven
Pregnant? Man they moved too fast, that's too fast. what the fuck.
The short hair female soldier is dating the commander or whatever he was.
Sugawara says he'll obey the law, but I know fucka has already broken it. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Aw hell naw, his plans got messed up again. WHY YOU PLAYIN WITH AN OTAKUS HEART??

Happy ending for everyone except for Zolzal, i wonder where did Zolzal and his men go and what are they planned, they way that Tyuule cried after all she did makes everything questionable, i hope there'll be another season to cover everything and there's a possibility of Civil war within the Empire.

In the end Itami didn't choose anyone, he chose the Doujinshi instead, lols
But i think it would be best if Itami choose either Pina, well the author let us to decide who Itami would be end up with.

I feel like there won't be a 3rd season but I'm still hoping for one anyway~

This anime was really awesome. It's different and in a good way. I sometimes hate ridiculously one-sided fights/wars--- like how the JDSF is way too overpowered vs the people on the other side of the gate but in this case, it doesn't make for a bad story. Plus, their OP-ness is realistic anyway so it's entirely forgivable that it's so one-sided. If anything, it makes things hilariously entertaining for me.

Poor Zolzal but HA!, serves him right... the damn jerk. I'm not a fan of Tyuule either even if she was doing it for revenge for what happened to herself and her people. I was kinda hoping she'd die or something. I don't feel bad for her at all even if they showed her looking all lost and stuff when everything was over.

Also that ending.... soooooo typical Itami. lol

So many ships. Bozes unexpected but nice to have (forgot when they started). Earlier hints of Beefeater x Kengun were cute. Those two in the hospital probably spent a lot of time offscreen. Sugawara x Sherry is the most detailed ship development, both interesting characters.
Hollowness of revenge done well. The chef/spy seems concerned, not clear if he'll escape.
Usually jieitai too OP, but some good military tactics. Great characters everywhere, and made for a funny ending with Itami.

She was, creating a civil war is one of the easiest ways to destroy an empire. It's going to be a bloody battle between loyalists and revolutionists because more than likely the SDF won't help, despite them causing it in the first place but it's going to leave the entire country open to invasion because their soldiers would have been killing off each other. No country recovers from a civil war quickly and Pina made it clear that the other countries aren't exactly on good relations with the empire.

Well, seeing as the one of the key points to this anime/manga was how the modern tech from SDF overpowers the almost "medieval" tech from the other world, you can't really expect much of a fight from the capital...

But really enjoyed it, though as others said, I found season 1 was a bit better, thought season 2 was a bit dark for my liking, Tyuule was just a bit messed...

But nevertheless, even though it seems like they put an ending on this anime, I hope there is another season...

This series was enjoyable for the most part, but because of how overpowered the SDF were, there was very rarely any tension. And that's without taking Rory and Lelei into account. I get that part of it is that they wanted to show how severely modern technology trumps the medieval, but in a fantasy world like this, you'd think there would be more magical, mythical enemies around to put up some resistance.

That being said, I'd check out a 3rd season if there is one, but I'm just as fine with it ending here. 7/10

No, currently more likely torn laughing my ass off for her (wanted revenge and got this) or feeling pity towards her...but SUmmarry is simple...she reaped what she saw/made her bed, and now she has to lay on it.

Hate is now gone when I see how unsatisfied she is. Let's say this tough, if end of the series she is Redeemed....I rip my hair of..that...Is Just NO.

Well, you're right. Redemption is not for everyone. Not reputation anyway. What I mean when I say redeemable is more on a personal level. Can one come to terms with ones own life? Tyuule's never going to be a good guy. But can she not be a bad guy? That's the question I'm asking myself.
Like the Emperor. He was thoroughly evil in season 1, and though I still don't like the guy, I don't see him as evil any more.

I think this was a rather disappointing season truth be told… you have this show that captures your attention by playing up a modern day military somehow going against a medieval empire and plays on that point throughout its entire first season and then you go to this season, which is played out like a standard medieval anime. You could replace the SDF with another empire’s army in most situations in every episode, save for the last two episodes and probably the fire dragon, and get the same results, it was just a largely generic season.
I’m not saying it was bad season on its own, but I think it was marginally underwhelming compared to the first.
