They finally question their society! This is becoming more dystopia like! I think the boy in Saki's dream is Shun. And....... another timeskip! | Episode 16.5 showing them having sexy and remembering the things,someone wants too? At least them can do a flashback saying about the sex,if i remember clear from spoilers them actually have sex but its only said in the time skip when them show that them remembered shun,but i dunno,i don't remember. Also i have 100% they didn't showed at least a bit of them having sexy and remember things,because of the shitstorm when them showed their society,yaoi and yuri,and for the plot them might have sacrificied one of most wanted scenes in the anime because of ridiculous people saying too much about what happened in last episodes. |

I've loved the relationship between Satoru/Saki since the first time they almost had sex. Now that they had it, they didn't show it? Grrrr. This is the worst. Hopefully they will show a flashback on it. I really hope so. This episode gave me the most feels so far. |

Anyway, I loved how Maria's farewell letter was visualized, it really added depth to her and Saki's relationship, making the moment when they realized they had to give up searching for Maria and Mamoru even more emotional. Saki's bizarre nightmare foreboded tragic future events concerning Maria again, but the surreal visuals alone were enough to spark my interest. |

| They might be planning to give us some of those important details from the sex scene next episode. Indeed that sort of makes sense actually. Hint at it, give our minds a week to become used to the idea, then we'll absorb the details better instead of just reacting to "look sex!" In any case, I don't think that episode worked as well as most have. Though this isn't really their thought; someone reading a long and important letter and then thinking about the implications is the sort of thing that novels do really well but is difficult to televise to full satisfaction. But still, the dream scene was really weird and impressionistic, the feelings and interactions shot through with intense realism; so much good stuff still. And ooh, more timeskip! |

| After seeing the Shin Sekai Yori manga, I really do not want to see another sex scene. I understand that the implied intercourse Satoru and Saki had at the end of the episode was probably because both needed comfort, but I don't watch this series so I can see people hump each other. Fanservice in this series regarding yaoi/yui/het pairings is inevitable, though, considering how sex plays a big role in the novel, which at least makes bearing with it less cumbersome. On a lighter note, the art in this episode was amazing. I really liked the sunset Satoru and Saki saw on the mountain as they set up camp. Maria's letter was sad, but insightful. The imagery of people falling apart and compilation of previous scenes was also well done. Plus, the nightmare with Shun and those other beasts felt like they represented Saki's interpretation of her memories, such as when she met one of the Queens of a Queerat colony and witnessed her trying to eat one of her own children. The tall man-like monsters that loomed over Saki were probably representations of the adults in her village. I guess I'm getting carried away, but I think that's what the nightmare felt like to me. I also wish we'd get to see Shun's face again. The timeskip is also getting me excited. I really cannot wait for next week now. |
| Great episode, a lot of speech but great insight. Just one thing to note is very interesting. So the human society was fearing their children, making them disappear, while the queerats did the exact opposite.... they immobilized their mother, the queen, because they no longer wanted to obey her rules.... Saki is angered at the way they dealt with the queen, yet she is trying to cope with basically the same situation, if not even more gruesome, of her village. Im not sure I like this. I mean I am expecting a lot out of saki, considering how she reacts to violence she definitely has to take a more clear position towards what is happening in the human world. |

| The new opening or Ending that was placed in the beginning was a surprise ._. Looks like Maria is going to have to die, shame. The flashback between Maria and Saki was sweet and added more depth to their relationship. That's my Satoru, taking advantage of a women when she's vulnerable. The next episode will be another time leap, now they're going to be 26, damn. |

For, Saki turns 26 in the next ep. Im not having problems with that, its just that they animated that quite clearly, while when it comes to hetero scenes one kiss seems too much. Same goes for Satoru, his affections towards Shun were shown clear as day. Compare that with his relationship with Saki. Huh? Saki doesn't see Maria like that. Sure she loves her but not LIKE THAT. I think Maria knew it too, that's why she didn't ask for Saki to come with her. She also saw in episode 14 how Saki "chose" Satoru over her when she went after him instead of staying behind with her and Mamuro. I mean Satoru did tell her not to come and was surprised to find out that she did. Im not convinced. It looks the exactly "LIKE THAT" kind of love to me. Mamoru asked Maria not to come after him for the exact same reasons. What was Saki supposed to do? Stay and make triple with Maria and Mamoru? Thats my point - they made it look like Saki, Maria and Satoru would really prefer to be with their homo counterparts, but didnt because it was the right thing to do. With Shun it was different. Both him and Saki wanted to be with eachother more than with their homo counterparts, at least thats the impression the anime team gave us. Cant really compare any of that with Satoru-Saki, they just look forced with eachother. |

| They had sex? It didn't seem like it to me in the episode but after reading some of the responses on here, it seemed that it's part of the plot. Very disappointing if that was the case because there really wasn't any hint at all! I'm looking forward to the next time skip - it still seems a little confusing and too mysterious at the moment and I need some answers! |
