Good episode, now can we move on? I hope next episode we really see them exploring, and not talking about fkng drinks again, that shit is canon filler.

The production of beverages was done today, with François as the bartender.

Additionally, three people were revived from petrification to help Hyoga, Moz, and Momiji.

I thought it was cool that Ryusui made a comparison between them and the Vikings because, even though science changes them, the comparison is still fitting.

Anyway, after a lot of adventure, the crew finally arrived in the Americas.

Kind of surprised they didn't make a weaker beer that would be more in line with the homemade daily beers of time periods when fresh water wasn't readily available. Though knowing Senkuu they're probably desalinating the ocean water for fresh water purposes.

80% of the episode is made up of fooling around with beverages and 20% of the actual journey. I think it should have been the other way round. The first episode already made the point about the entertaining quality of having an on-board bar. Meanwhile, crossing the ocean and arriving at the Americas were shown with a slideshow.

It's like: "Oh, we're having so much fun getting drunk while crossing this humongous Pacific Ocean and there are some storms but who cares? Let's make fun out of the possibility that we might capsize. Oh, look at that, we've already arrived at the Americas, yay!"

Seems like Ryusui got worried about the crew's safety for nothing and would've probably cost the entire kingdom of science its existence had he won the bet by chance (not taking into account the submarine guy's conspiracy theory).

The parts with actual info like the calcite and Vikings' use of sunstones were good, though. Hopefully, the next episode won't be a filler like the two so far and include some real action.

Still just can’t get with the OP song. Visuals are fire, but wish we’d got another banger. Maybe the second cour will go out with a banger song since it’ll be wrapping everything up!

HUH?? I fw with the op heavy. Perhaps its not for everyone, but I love how its upbeat! Hope you get your wish with a OP next cour you like!

The song just don’t give dr stone. The visuals are great, but the song itself doesn’t fit the arc. Stereo dive is more dr stone sound

I dunno, but I feel like these last two episodes were filler instead of canon.
I acknowledge that most people liked the casino and the bar; however, for me, having waited like two years or so for the new season, it turned out to be kinda a dull start.
I hope there are many epic moments ahead.

I wasn't expecting a bartender episode led by Francois in Dr. Stone, but those were some good mock tails. After enduring the rough waves of sailing across the Pacific Ocean, the Pegasus crew has reached the North American continent on the other side of the world. Where exactly did they land? I'm guessing somewhere of the coast of Alaska/Canada, so they have not reached what's left of the United States which is their true destination.

We got some big bad characters unstoned to help out the new guy. Other than, nothing much really happened.

I like that we still get some focus on some smaller scaled science even after all that’s happened, this time it was making mixed drinks fitting to each respective character, can’t forget Gen and his cola lol, a pretty fun bit but I get what some are saying in this feeling like “filler”, and right at the start of a new season too, but imo I like that we’re starting lighthearted, because I have a feeling once we hit good ol’ USA things might get dicey again, but that looks likes it’s coming next episode so those that haven’t been enjoying this boat stuff won’t have to suffer anymore.

There was also the sunstone bit which was really cool, if the Vikings actually figured that out they were some smarts mfs, and good on Chrome for making the discovery, I’m a bit surprised Senku didn’t think of that already but I liked his proud parent look as he watched Chrome. And looks like they couldn’t keep Hyoga stoned any longer, and along with his reawakening came Moz and that pink haired babe, Momiji, who we haven’t seen in the hottest of minutes, and speaking of hot, she is absolutely hot lol, and while it seems like a bad idea, it’s probably good to have all hands on deck for the arrival in America. And lastly, I liked the Matsukaze flashback, the final words of his master were really interesting, I wonder if they’ll become relevant as we enter the final stages of the conflict against Why Man.

This was a funny chill episode before everything gets serious and tbh I’m soaking all of it up bc we don’t get moments like this for a while when Xeno pops up haha and guys THIS IS CANON NOT FILLER so stop saying it’s filler bc you don’t like slice of life moments like these💀💀💀💀

Bro what was with that Matsukaze backstory? That was the most bloody shit I’ve ever seen from Dr Stone like that part caught me so off guard man😭

Guys why does Mirai have one of the most perfect loli builds I’ve seen like look at the difference between her hips and thighs, that hip to thigh ratio is insane to me😩😮‍💨😩😮‍💨😩😮‍💨😩😮‍💨😩😮‍💨😩😮‍💨😩😮‍💨😩😮‍💨

As they commence upon this long journey across the Pacific Ocean there must be some boost to morale. Offering everyone some nice hearty drinks while they party on the deck is a great idea! That lets everyone unwind so they're not feeling uptight during this weeks long voyage. Francois offering everyone unique drinks was really cool of them. Each person's drinks all fit their personality very well. Suika even got herself a little alcohol free drink, it looked like some sort of lemonade. That little effect of putting the tiny watermelon to change the flavor was really cool, it did look exactly like a mini Suika. Matsukaze story about his master and the conflict that sprang from the petrification devices falling from the sky was very sad. It does really make you think about where those devices came from falling directly on their island like that. I hope that awakening Hyoga to train Matsukaze is a good idea. Figuring out a way to tell what their position is based on the sun is very important. That helps keep track of where they are in the ocean as they use the curved route to get to America. Which is nice seeing the arrival so soon in this arc. Lots to cover in this new land.

Probably the easiest & most realist rediscovery yet. Using Calcium spar as a refracting crystal for a navigation aid. The Vikings sure did, and the Norse were legendary explorers not just raiders & pillagers.

Barely two episodes for the journey itself, with bartending lessons and a flashback. Must be quite a lot of substance for the rest of it if the crossing was this quick.
@yellowheartren That is silly now that you mention it. I honestly prefer all the let's do science stuff to fighting villains in this show, but trivializing crossing the pacific is cheap. Even with the crazy science acceleration to make space worth considering there have to be all sorts of interesting challenges that could have been thrown in here.

We've gone from casino games to beer and cocktails. It's expected to see Francois flexing with the many drinks made, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic for the crew. It was a pretty enjoyable segment of this episode.

Same goes for Matsukaze and knowing more about his backstory. It was a sad one, seeing how his master saying his last words before passing away. Still, it was amusing to see him hit the deck after one sip of alcohol. XD

This was a fun episode overall. America has now appeared on the horizon, so I do look forward to seeing what Senku's group will discover.

@ineser With the tech level they actually have it's closer to mid-19th century, although they get this by handcrafting prototypes rather than any form of mass production to contrast with the state of things in the 1800s

Matsukaze was a true warrior, but it's funny to see him after he's drunk lol.

Those Cocktails looked great!

That was some great Bartending by her.

Chrome developed alot, and Senku looking him like a proud teacher!

Strong start for the return of Dr Stone, not gonna lie.

From its brand new OP that while not having the best track it matches really well with the dancing visuals to the sailing journey taking place in the span of these last 2 episodes, we really had a lot of moments going for them. We had the Balatro, I mean, actual poker moment with card tricks and stunning formal suits (and hands that now thanks to the game I know what they mean). We had a Bartender moment with Francois serving the different cocktails outside of beer and giving not only the list of ingredients but a cool detail to accompany them. We had a casino moment with Yo betting it all and losing like always, as well as dice, balckjack and more in the background. And of course we had the scientific moment with not only the explanations behind all of the above but also how they are able to discern where they are at any given moment and Chrome's time to shine with the discovery of calcite's optical properties.

Big contender for AOTS, maybe even AOTY considering how they adapt what's coming next.

Since when did Kohaku become a hardcore Chrome x Ruri shipper? I honestly can't remember when it started.
And that Matsukaze flashback sure was bloody, huh? His master seemed to be a brave and respectable dude. Now I feel extra sorry for Matsukaze having to deal with Ginrou 24/7.

Overall, better than episode one. Unlike the poker game, cocktail segment with Francois was actually entertaining and the part with Chrome solving the navigation problem instead of Senkuu felt particularly rewarding considering how much my boy has grown. So proud of him.

Great episode! This one has everything I love about Dr Stone. I'm glad they broke down the beer making process. I was a little surprised in the last episode when the "Beer acquired" popped up without showing the steps leading up to it. Plus the wisdom of Fracois and the cocktails/mocktails was just fantastic. Top it off with the sunstone. A 10 billion percent perfect episode.

The Perseus's casino affair is pretty much picture perfect when paired with booze, and even François has cocktails prepared for those who don't take alcohol.

The drink-making cocktails continue their experimentation, though Chrome and the others are afraid of various poisons being added to it, which this gum syrup definitely is a guilty pleasure to make lactic drinks, which helps in the cocktail making, perfect for people like Suika. Of course, part of the flair for being a bartender is serving guests with both skill and taste.

Matsukaze having survived the heinous threat of the petrification weapon for the longest time, even losing his master in the process of eradicating the people using the device for their nefarious gains, it's one part of why Yes Man is quite the figure that he must take down. That's why they need the help of Hyoga, though reviving both Moz and Homura being his simple request, it's getting Matsukaze all trained up for battle.

The technical stuff can be calculated by the science guys just fine where Perseus is at, but veering the ship towards a storm certainly is not where the gang needs to be right now, and making a calcite sunstone certainly will still lead them to the right path, similar to how the Vikings traverse the seas. And soon, through thick and then, land is discovered, and they reach the land of the Liberty.

Americas, here we come!
