Definitely one of the best episodes of the season, that's for sure. Not surprised that Guts lost control again, but the way that was presented this time was executed far better than the last time he lost control.

Somehow they managed cram 6.5 manga chapters into this one and the pacing doesn't feel rushed, at all. Despite how pitiful the animation is, at least the storyboard is moving on the right track.

My speculation for the next episode

1 more episode left! Well... I am still glad we have an adaptation that went this far with the manga.

Damn the look of guts after overcoming the berserker suite made me feel so rugged.

Behold of my awesomeness~

Sigh...
I thought I had gotten used to the CGI, but lo and behold they managed to prove me wrong.
'cus good god the fight scene with Makara was so bad, it made me feel sick.
Like come on atleast pretend that you're putting effort into this.

Not to mention the fact that so many events/characters seem to be getting axed again.

Oh god, they skipped moonboy and one of my favorite moments in Berserk.
These last 2 episodes has been really weird imo, idk why they put more effort into the 2D animation but much less effort into the CGI.
It was nice to see more of berserker armor and skull knight, at least.

I can't understand whats the problem with this episodes 3d animtion. Every scene's choreography was splendit to my eyes. You always knew exactly what was going on. You could see the scaling, the order of movement. The only problem we have here is that its too fast for our eyes to grasb it. And compared to the previous two episodes 3d animation. This was a 9/10 and not like a 2/10 in the animation department.

Just saying. Compare this episodes 3d animation to the previous two episodes. From poopiest poop to okay animated scenes.

I really don't think that Guts vs Makara/Sea Monster fight is ''okay''.. Serious look how pathetic and ugly the Sea monster looks and how Guts's attack don't have any impact due the animation. Okay Guts vs Crocodiles is kinda cool but still.. Everything with Berserker armor is poorly animated in this episode ( and last week too)

I liked this arc better than the previous arc with the priests.

Whoa. Whoa. WHOA. Did they seriously skip the Moonlight child? That's, um, you know, kind of important? I wonder why they removed him? Extremely odd decision.

Regardless of the CGI, the series has been pretty faithful to the manga. But now when they do this? Uhhh...

Schierke opening up her pent-up feelings of grief towards Flora's loss to Guts was a very emotional moment and it also happened to awaken her preference for men...who are way, way older than she is. It's absolutely adorable and how she vowed to help Guts tame the Berserker Armor was cool.

They've all dispatched the Kushan crocodiles and Guts had successfully defeated the dreaded Pishaca but it was a really close call for everyone else in the party because the Berserker Armor chooses no target. It would've been better if they had shown Serpico's subtle displeasure towards Guts endangering the lives of everyone else until the last second.

The fight scenes felt a little sloppy in this one. But other than that this was quite an interesting episode. Guts really is powerful in his armor.

Ah there it is, the explicit hope of Casca's recovery, and the concrete despair of Guts losing himself once more, we're definitely beyond traditional revenge. So many possible post-recovery outcomes though, not sure how that would have panned out...

I guess Farnese becoming an apprentice makes sense, typically in a party she would be the cleric, and since Guts turned down her tutoring demand...

Oh goodness! That 2D was amazing! I don't care if the animation is messy anymore, just happy to see more improvement.

The jump between the two is so jarring though... whoever thought to make this cgi needs a real good kicking.

Ehh, too bad that one element got completely omitted and was left unadapted.

Nice fight against crocodiles.

On the other hand, Guts vs. Sea Monster fight looked mediocre at best. Too chaotic and with sword's swings that felt like they weren't swung by a sword at all.

One episode to go.
