there are a couple of things I don't understand
1.Ashura received the power from the sage of six path himself. Would he be stronger than Indara? Ashura need to combine all the other people to defeat his brother. This is not make sense. The power of six path alone should done the job.
2.Hagoromo blame that indara for the village fighting over the well. Ashura did start the well by himself. And he got lucky that village choose to help him. And they did not fight over it because have good personality not ashura doing. This a very silly compared between the two son.
3.This very similar to naruto vs sasuke accept this is indara vs team ashura

It's funny how we had to wait 2 weeks to see a decision everyone already knew about. Anyway, that fight was pretty dumb lol. It was literally a Madara-Hashirama/Naruto-Sasuke fight but with Indra and Ashura instead. They even had pretty much the same techniques as their reincarnates: Chidori, Susanoo, the same Mangekyo pattern; wind style, Rasengan (which shouldn't even exist because Minato created it), that wood style technique (again, shouldn't exist because Hashirama created it). This is what frustrates me about fillers, they sometimes end up messing up the main storyline. And now we get another filler next week........

Good episode. I only have problems with a few things:

- Indra's MS being the same like Sasuke's MS
- them stealing stuff from Naruto's Rasengan, Amaterasu, Wood Budda and Sasuke's Perfect Susanoo
- Hashirama's 1000-hand Buddah able to solo Indra's Perfect Susanoo with ease

This means that if Hashirama fought with Indra, Hashirama would kick his ass?

I still don't get the whole reason behind Indra's corruption, Zetsu was just laughing or w/e he was doing in the background, then there's the Sharingan. How did the Sharingan corrupt him >_>

I completely agree with you and Soufou27's post. All those jutsus were thrown in instantly without any training or sideeffects.

While I share everyone's frustration regarding the lack of canon and never-ending fillers, next week's ep is arguably a canon as it's based on an omake chapter kishi drew long ago, rather than a random filler. It's just unfortunate and a very stupid idea that pierrot decided to throw it in now of all times. Otherwise, assuming they don't f**k it up like they did with Itachi's novels, it should be quite amusing and I recommend people to look forward to it (I don't want to spoil what happens but an interesting character appears :).

I was surprised that he seemed so useless as well. The 3rd Hokage was pretty old, and still pretty strong.

No not at all. You're right. But I mean that it's not just an useless filler. It's actually directly from Kishimoto's work. Ofcourse it is completely out of place, but atleast not a filler.

Seems like the filler we are getting next week is indeed based on the original Naruto episode 101 titled Gotta See! Gotta Know! Kakashi-Sensei's True Face!, but it could also add new content from Kishimoto's manga chapter 700.2.

What do you all think?

It would had been much better if Indra had lost faith in relying on the people due their stupidity, selfishness, and constant conflicts of interest. Fed up with the inefficiency and stagnation cause by their disagreements, he found it much better to just have a single powerful, authoritative, and wise ruler who decides and does everything.

This would be opposed to Indra and Hagoromo's ideology that a good leader is one who can get people to look past their differences or compromise and work together.

This would had made it a much more thoughtful conflict of philosophy and ideology, where there are merits to the argument on both sides.

All of these people being pissed off over "recreating Naruto and Sasuke's techniques, for this fight," when it was even shown in a panel of the manga, that Indra and Ashura both knew the jutsu, long before Naruto and Sasuke were even though of. Then again, they might be anime-only people, so...

I haven't seen the episode yet, so I have to ask: was there a new version of opening 19, or not?

Indra = Sasuke, Ashura = Naruto, and Hogoromo = Sakura. . . But in all seriousness (and I know it's specifically about and focused towards Ashura and Indra), they nerfed the living hell out of Hogoromo. He could and should of literally stopped Indra if he was able to fight his mother for months with no break..... That's the only thing I was thinking literally for the whole episode lol. Legitimately as if Sakura is a reincarnation of this Hogoromo (she inherited his uselessness this episode).

He probably could've stopped the two of them but I think he wanted to show the people that the new leader of ninshu, who just inherited his powers, did not need to fully rely on him. Yes they all pulled some spirit bomb-esque shit sharing there power but they wanted to beat Indra as a team.

They are lazy the screenwriters of the Studio Pierrot.
- Indra has same Mangekyo Sharingan and Susanoo that Sasuke
- Ashura uses Rasengan what is ridiculous considering it is Minato which invented this technique which does not have any link with Senju
In short it is recycling and screenplay laziness

This episode was good for me purely because Sadness and Sorrow played at Hagoromo's death scene. I really like this arc cause it felt like at least a little effort was put into it unlike the past filler arcs.
The powers of Indra and Ashura were pretty unoriginal, Sasuke's Susanoo and Hashirama's Buddha statue copy and pasted on, hard to overlook that.

About that you are totally right, as a dad he sucked ass. i was talking about his understanding of Kaguya's and Indra's shared point of view on the world's order.
he sure was being slow as shit. how is he wise when he didn't see the Indra's shit was coming.

i wish i never seen that arc tbh. it oversimplified everything and made everything ugly. kishimoto's gone nuts he allowed that. imagine the story of Itachi being told in such manner, and it's just as important. background is ugly-simplified, the world around is not thought-through well at all, characters are godawful. it's like a big fuck you to canon if you ask me .
the only good thing is that i haven't paid shit to watch this. but maybe i've paid with my hurt feelings tho....

A lot of people complain about fillers (yes they can be annoying) but I personally just love them because it's Naruto! I enjoy the series so much that I don't care. It really adds back stories to everyone and everything in Naruto. In all honesty, I'm partial to keeping the fillers going so the show doesn't end! Because it's really close to ending and it makes me sad about it. However, I really would love to get back to canon too.

This particular episode is cool though because it adds to the history of the rivalry between the reincarnations. The only crappy thing about the episode is that we didn't get to see a longer battle because based on their skill and strength, it would've been an epic fight scene. They fight seems all too similar to what's coming up with sasuke and naruto, so it lacks creativity, but I suppose it's suppose to foreshadow or give sense to how the reincarnations of their souls travel to the other generations.

ashura should be much stronger than indara. Ashura have the power of the SO6P and other. and he barely beat indara (or maybe consider a draw). it was unfair battle for indara. Ashura does not have to do much training at all, he receive lot of power from other. where indara on other hand training hard. this mean ashura is the weakest in his incarnation because (he just other people power).
