Surprisingly no, perhaps because I don't occupy the TV or spend hours on my PC like I did in my gaming days. They do like to pester me about the TV shows I watch though.

My parents don't ask or make fun of the anime i watch, my mom would sometimes glimpse at what i'm watching but that's it.

My mom use to say things like "I wonder what Walt Disney would think of animation like this...there's basically no movement!" "Why are you watching those cartoons", but then she watched Monster and even though she was having trouble remembering who the characters were (I had to keep explaining them) she absolutely loved it. She also liked 5cm per second, which I thought was weird. She doesn't mind watching them as long as they aren't "magic".

Sometimes she hates bad dialogue I was watching Kimi ni Todoke and she walks in and watched a little and the line was something like "If this keeps up soon enough he's going to lose his popularity" she was just like "oh how trite who says that?" and walks out I thought that was funny, but it's true sometimes the dialogue is a little poor but I still enjoy it.

Both my parents make fun of the anime I watch all the time. For example, my dad always calls Haruhi Suzumiya, "Harahizu Sukimiya." And my mom on the other hand calls all anime in general "Gichi-gumi shows." -_- *sigh*

eh, not really. kinda a "you do what your gonna do, but im not going to watch it" situation.

a shame really because anime usually has better stories than most of the garbage on cable these days. (older anime at least).

Haha, that's why I don't even bother telling them titles of anything. If they ask what I'm watching it's always "anime" and nothing else.

Nah, they just think of it as normal cartoon.

When they complain, its not about anime directly, but wasting time watching videos when I could be studying =O

My mom doesn't mind me watching anime, she even gets curious about some things. She doesn't know what anime I watch, but she randomly asks mes things like "Who is Naruto?" or "What is a Death Note?" or "Do you know Bleach?", it's probably because of her game mates on an MMO she plays. She also likes the art style.
As for my dad, he has no clue that I like anime.

I watched episode 1 of Gurren Lagann while my mom was in the room. She finally turned around at the point when Kamina started self narrating. All she said was "Really?"

My dad knows that I watch it. He seems mildly interested at times... like I showed him Death Note once, and even put it on the external hard drive I got him for Christmas two years ago.
My mom would never understand. She's a pastor, and the fact that I watch Higurashi is quite enough to give her pause. She had enough trouble accepting that I played World of Warcraft.
So no, not really. They both know that I'm a huge geek though, and that it doesn't socially impair me and that I actually have learned to take pride in it instead of always keeping it in the closet.

My mom always asks why I'm watching "those Chinese cartoons." No matter how many times I tell her it's Japanese, she insists on saying "Chinese." I watch anime with headphones on, but when I watch Ninja Warrior on G4, my mom always makes fun of the commentator trying to immitate him. It's pretty annoying, it's like she doesn't respect the language.

it must be very painful :(

My dad basically think's anime's stupid/childish, and basically hates it with his entire soul (though to be fair to him, I did basically get obsessed with it at first, to the point where I was ignoring everything else). I've tried to convince him that it's more than just an obsession with anime/manga, but he doesn't believe me.

My parents just know I like to watch, "Japanese films". I've told them about series like Ghost in the Shell and they've even seen me watching stuff like Baccano and Death Note when I watch them on the big TV in the living room, but I don't think they care.

Although, my dad always says I'm weird for watching stuff with subtitles, be it anime or a live action movie.

Smart.
You never know when someone is going to "accidentally" whip their boobs out in anime.

My parents know that I watch anime and they don't really care as long as my grades aren't bad and I make my homework.
But sometimes they make fun out of me saying that animes are cartoons meant to be watched by children, I just can't convince them that animes are not meant for children because of the violence & blood etc.
But oh well.. As long as they let me keep my hobby I don't care wether they like anime or not.

Nope. Except when I mention an anime convention that I'm going to, my dad thinks it's a waste of time. For me, it's to get out of the house and meet new people in person with the same interest as me.

All the fucking time. My dad calls anime 'furry-bullshit' and calls me a fur-fag for watching it. Which he confused with the twats that dress like animals and have steamy gay anal sex with each other. Which I am a closet fur-bi-fag, so I'm not bothered by it much.

My dad some times comes in and either makes funny noises (I guess he trying to speak Japanese) or he asks a bunch of random questions. like, Why is that guys hair purple? Are those two people going on a date? why does that girl look so young when she is suppose to be in HS? Why do Japanese people always do X? My mom just says do whatever you like to do. She even asked me about a few figurines I have.

My Mom loves anime me and her are currently watching Clannad right now. She also likes Katekyo Hitman Reborn and she was sad when the anime ended so we are both eagerly awaiting its return from Hiatus if it is on one that is. I'm being careful on what series I show her though cause she'll get all pissy if it has too much nudity in it or way too much swearing even though she swears like a sailor everyday.

My Dad watched Zeta Gundam with me and enjoyed it and he sat down and watched a couple of Gintama episodes with me. He has no problem with anime I think he is just indifferent about it.

Most people in general shun anime because a large part of it is awful shit smothered in fanservice. I was one of them until I realized there are several genres of animoo.

My family learned to accept it once I showed them more serious works like geass and angel beats, but my friends aren't so open minded and are like "that shits gey" without attempting to watch it. So is life :P

She doesn't make fun of it, but criticizes it! Probably because of me slacking off after every anime I finished. xD
But she laughs at the jokes. LMAO

Usually my mother will chime in whenever I'm watching something with "What the hell are you watching?" or "Why do the girls always sound like they're sucking helium?" or, my favorite, "Why are you watching this? It's all the same, innit?"

Not horrible, but it just get a tad bit annoying whenever I'm absorbed in a series and I'm constantly interrupted each time she happens to pass by my sleeping/recreation area.

My dad comes in and he says 'what're you watching?' most of the time. My mum doesn't care about what I watch so long as it isn't 18+ stuff....
Once my dad liked the anime much better than I did...And then he started watching it without me. I was SO PISSED OFF.
And all the other people I know have parents who don't care.

My mom accepts it, although I usually pause whatever I'm watching when she comes to my room.
But I actually got her to watch some anime I have on DVD, e.g. FMA, Code Geass and most Ghibli films. She also read Death Note and enjoyed it alot.

However it's still not something I brag about with most of my relatives.
