Well apparently the anime doesn't seem to show that http://prntscr.com/2hin2a He's only been training for 3 years, especially when new recruits are all kids doesn't make you that ripped. Aside from that, only the area around his eyes is attached to the titan. So its either his cheeks etc.. got somehow ripped off him as well and therefore exposing his teeth or he's changing into something that resembles his titan. Ymir's titan has abs too. So she's equally as muscular? Eren's only 63kgs. And Isayama tends to be realistic when it comes to this. To be honest there hasn't been very long after they graduated. Literally the next day the wall gets broken. Eren joins survey corps after few days. One month of training, female titan appears and they return after only one day. And right after that arc the clash of the titans begin. He's 12 when he started training. It's true he's not fat nor skinny. Oh and yep technically Historia's a top trainee too, she should be fairly muscular as well. |

Right, Eren was 63kg, but he is only 170cm, 63kg at 170cm at very low bodyfat would look ripped, like Eren does. 3D gear training is very tough, so it would make sense that Eren has a decent amount of muscle mass, considering his proficiency with it. Should Historia have muscles? Of course, she uses the 3DMG too, but it would be silly to assume she is as ripped as Eren, a male who is shown to have considerable strength (that was his trait noted in training). Ymir's titan is nowhere near as ripped as Eren's, no other titan has been really. The skin around your eyes is connected to the skin on your cheeks, to me it looked like the majority of the skin on Eren's face had been torn off, which is why Mikasa was so alarmed. If Mikasa is ripped it would be unwise to assume that Eren isn't, considering he is a male and has gone through similar training. |

| Crunchy's translation is up. The speed translation was not that off in general, but Eren's words about his father are different, and the situation in Trost is a bit more comprehensible - why these people jumped on Levi, accusing the Legion for everything under the sun, etc. Now, the Garrison leaving the city is damn curious follow-up, especially in the line of Erwin and Nile's conversation. I got this warm feeling that the latter had the purpose to demoralize Nile's conformist stance namely as a head of the MP. With this, I can assume that the Scouting Legion and the Garrison are already prepared to turn to the Capital (named Mitras), and with the MP's commander hesitating ever since Stohess, Erwin re-aligns the whole army in a way the Captial and perhaps the Central MPs will eat it unexpectedly and badly. Tenatively - Erwin's dream seems to be connected to change and hope. I'll update the previous post on the experiments after I get some sleep. Edit: OK, Chrunchy screwed up the order of the first chapter pages and currently the chapter is unavailable. They will re-upload it shortly, I believe. |

| The translation for Crunchy roll, said " my father" and "to me" While the translation from manga here said, "my father" was "by me" I'm scratching my head right now on the Crunchy roll translation. How can the sentence end at "to me"? unless Eren didn't finish wrote what he remembered. It's much easier to fill the blank for manga here translation, and say that he did kill his father, but the Crunchy roll translation is a different thing. Also I'm pretty sure Crunchy roll translation is more accurate, since its done by professional, if that's the case, and also because they are translating this chapter from the Japanese translation, and not the Chinese one. Side note. Anyone else think that Eren and Historia, are somehow related? |

I'll try to put my feelings about this chapter...:) Awesome! The plot thickens definitely. Poor Eren is still tad bit useless, hopefully he will unlock the crystallization ability. Think they'll try to force Annie out somehow to teach him? Highly doubt it haha. But wouldn't it be great if she helped them at some point? I always suspected there were more then 1 branch of MP and now it's confirmed. Erwin is shifty, always having a grand master plan, will be intriguing to see where this goes! Didn't know he and Nile were buddies. Seems that anime portrayed them more hostile? About "female" Eren I think that maybe those could be his dad's memories, since he probably well ate his dad so he gained some of his memories too? This is just a speculation. That part totally got me by surprise. Maybe he and Historia are somehow related? I mean they look similar... The kidnapping part. Damn, Levi and his team sure are smart, disguising poor Jean and Armin so they could take them to the kidnappers and possibly bastards who tortured Nick. I want to see some Hanji interrogation on those guys, imagine the possibilities. Poor Armin. Don't think he was acting...being harassed isn't funny at all! Anyway exciting to see where this goes, hopefully they'll be saved before the kidnappers can damage them further. |

Can't fight the facts, considering batamweight and featherweight ufc fighters have almost similar heights and weight. Isayama must've based Eren on them without considering that Eren is only 15.... Isayama doesn't really draw the difference between females and males in terms of muscle and bodyfat. Every character has those slim looking legs. The armored titan is more muscular than Eren's titan and the female titan is almost just as ripped. So Eren obviously isn't the only one haha. |

| I felt really bad for whoever was pretending to be Historia. When I found out it was Armin pretending to be her. My pity quickly shifted to the poor sucker who fell for his trap XD Besides that, does anyone know who that weird looking girl was or have any theories that Eren "remembered"? | This chapter was not my cup of tea, I guess I'm just a little irritated and freaked out with the whole Armin cross dressing thing, he is my favorite character after all. Just when he was starting to become more wise and masculine Isayama has him play dress up. "Sigh..." Now those perverted hentai writers are going to have a field day with this one, oh well. I did like the part with that woman who looked like Eren, but I have to admit all it did was raise more questions. Erwin and Nile's conversation was probably the most interesting thing I took from this chapter. Also the fate of Grisha was hinted at. A lot of you think he's dead, but I honestly believe he is alive and kicking. Seeing Levi and the rest of his squad getting mobbed by those pathetic peasants was fucking creepy. "You even have women to keep you company, such dignity." Old bald men staring at Mikasa and Sasha with perverted eyes. Disgusting! I mean I've read every chapter and watched every episode of this series so I've seen how crazy this manga can get, but those are teenage girls being leered at by ugly old men with obvious hygiene issues. I have a problem when it comes to the mistreatment of women and children, still people might think I'm overreacting, but I don't care. This chapter left a bad taste in my mouth. |

We all know that Eren father did something to Eren(the scene where he dream about his father crying and trying to inject him with something)... he seems to have trouble remembering that incident and i doubt he will understand what his father did to him if he ever remember, so that what the sentence is supposed to be "my father did something to me" i think the crunchy roll made more sense if you think about it this way. I wish the author made this whole chapter about the experiment... it would've been more interesting than going with the kidnapping thing "which is getting old" anyway this chapter made some points that worth mentioning like: 1- Eren doesn't have hardening ability (wonder if that is actually exclusive to annie). 2- Being in titan form for too long is actually pretty dangerous, the shifter risk getting assimilated into the titan and turning into a mindless beast. 3- Eren can stay as a titan for one hour and half straight after transforming although after one hour his mind will be unstable. 4- multiple transformation isn't possible for eren atm, his Titan gets weaker if he attempt to do it more than once a day. 5- Eren doesn't have six packs. 6- Eren have trouble remembering the things he did after transforming. 7- the girl that showed in Eren flashback resemble him and it appear to be somewhat from a noble family, whats interesting is that he forgot about her after a moment "huh? what was it again?". 8- armin makes a very good trap. 9- levi still have problems with his legs unlike what it showed in the anime. The next chapters will revolve around hunting down the church cult members i just hope some mysteries will be reveled... other than that i gotta say that Annie is actually quite amazing for being able to transform two times in one day and continue her chase. |

A six pack is indicative of low bodyfat, not a lot of muscles. Skinny guys can have a six pack and be weak as hell, the reason Mikasa is such an outlier is that women rarely carry such low levels of bodyfat, whilst men often do. More recently Isayama has drawn Eren as more masculine, wider shoulders and more muscle mass, it makes sense, seeing as Eren is in the process of physically becoming a man. |
