When I first saw Mao I thought she was Yuno in disguise, their faces really do look alike though. I wonder whose body it was in the forest since Hinata still seems to have both arms attached at the end.

I was getting really annoyed at the first part of this episode, "so fcking lame" or so I thought.

However the second part made up for it, because I wasn't expecting it. Still, kinda the worst ep so far.

stupid yuki considers himself normal, I believe...
and leave that aside... who cares if they are normal or not, what he said simply felt forced for the plot.
like, "We need to find a way to make him feel like they are his friends... oh! let's make him ask an unfitting question!"

that's how I felt about it.
and it was just an example that had popped into my mind... there were some more annoying sentences I just didn't recall...

i know of people that would ask that IRL

never claimed people never say that... simply felt it was forced or rushy... again, to push the point of him thinking they are his friends.

my feelings, my thoughts... =p

Is there anybody on this board who actually feels either Yuki or Yuno are actually in danger?
Perhaps I have just seen it all, but this series fails on the 'main character in peril' method of suspence.

Decent ep - but everything that occured was highly predictable:
- Yuki not being able to have friends
- the new characters are badies present simply to kill off
- the mains in a sticky situation we know they're going to get out of (maybe I speak for myself)
The best thing about this ep' was Yuno's consistancy of Yandereness (messages in the dirt whilst looking pleasant from a distance).

My thoughts exactly :) I was already wondering why she had disguised herself and then I realized: "Oh, that's someone else!" xD

Well Aru made up for the "mistakes" in this episode imo ;)
Despite him resembling kaworu an aweful lot xD

What the hell did Eighth think when he devised his dog troop?!

"Yes, let's give dogs teeth of metal, but instead of having their shape, let's give them human teeth. Because the teeth of a species habituated since the discovery of fire to eat tender foods are far more effective than the ones belonging to a carnivore!! Canines aren't worth nothing beside the incomparable strength of little, not pointed teeth!"

Not a bad episode, i relly liked it. Come to think of it, i found a favorite character at last, Akise. He is really cool and i like detective types for their power of deduction. It give some action some brain hardening to the anime. 5/5

Akise Aru is such a creep, ugh. After a crazy girl now there's also a crazy guy interested in Yukiteru. I don't think he's a diary owner though.

Looks like that guy at the kennel is responsible for those dogs with metal teeth and his daughter was the one who got hold of his diary. Now Hinata and Mao both turned on Yukiteru. I wonder if they'll stay his enemy forever or see that Hinata's father is doing evil.

The epilogue with Mur Mur was also pretty funny. Instead of a hospital she wants to go to an amusement park. =P

Next question is where she got an arm real enough that needed mosaics...

This might have already been answered, didn't read everyone's comments, but why are people thinking Akise is a diary user? I didn't see anything in the show to say he was. The only thing that might hint at him being one is a scene with Murumuru but, unlike the others, not a single thing was said about a diary. Unless I missed something.

To me he just seemed to be exactly what he said he was, an aspiring detective. He didn't seems to show any diary level knowledge, anyway.

As for the episode, don't have a lot to say beyond that but it was pretty great. Akise seems like an interesting character and good addition to things.

Akise just rocks my boat.

As for Akise being a diary holder...let's just say he's a very smart guy...very observant too of certain people...

Also I couldn't help but turn away knowing the part that Yuki was going to be betrayed. I feel for Yuki man. :P

Probably because of what Hinata said at the end of the episode: "Just to let you know, Amano wasn't my target from the beginning. I was only after one thing... The Future Diary that you hold... Akise Aru!" Really, did you miss that?
I don't think he is one, though.

Well, no, but I didn't pay it much mind. Seeing as how Akise hasn't shown anything beyond what a reasonably intelligent detective would have been capable of so far. Also, I could be wrong but none of the shadows seem to be a fit for him.

Don't know why Hinata is assuming he has a diary. Could just be something like guilt by association, he must have been watching Yukiteru, or could be something else all together. Will probably see in the next episode, though. Don't think he is one of the 12 myself, either, but if the scene with Murumuru meant anything he could still be involved in some way.

Regardless, I really hope Akise doesn't have a diary. Would be nice to have a capable person that can perform on the same level as the other holders without having future knowledge fed to him.

Shame on Yukkiteru for actually thinking he should and could establish friendships in a middle of a deadly battle royale. I know he isn't stupid, he just wants to connect to people. Something I can relate to to a stunning degree.

But Yukkiteru should've immediately

Great episode, and Akise feels like a deus ex machina (the plot device, not the character) made form. God knows its either the wolves (well, dogs this episode) or Yuno.

Well, when there's a character in the show called 'Deus ex machina' you know that the plot device will pop up eventually.

As to whether this is it or not, who knows. We'll see if Akise is truely that miraculous or not.

He made accurate deductions throughout the entire episode, and he was never shown earlier to my knowledge. So I think he's definitely the big bad or a fixer sue. Or a deux ex machina.

Really Yukki? After all he's been through, especially the incident with sixth, this moron still doesn't listen to Yuno. Yo idiot Yuno is always right and you should do anything that a crazy yandere like her tells you to do. Man just when I thought this guy was getting better, he becomes more of a wimp and he's like whatever when he saw Yuno getting pissed. /facepalm

All three of the new characters looks great, can't wait to see more of them. I am just so excited to see what Yuno's got up her sleeve and what she'll do next. Akise is very interesting as well.

The only reason I didn't really enjoy this episode is because the lack of sense that Yuki has gained from the past events that have involved him. Why doesn't he just learn to take Yuno's word over his own? He must be RIDICULOUSLY dense to have not gotten that fact through his head yet. To be honest, I'd rather have a crazy stalker who was in love with me, than some random girl trying to kill me every two weeks. Even the fan service was properly executed considering it was unexpected. But, is it just me, or did this episode feel really, really fast in progression, but really slow in unfolding. It might just be me being over anxious, though. Can't wait till next week! Looking forward to the next!

I think it was really good. But Yukki's part's turned it off every time.....
i mean wth...

Well i guess on this episode...

Hinata's father planned the killing in the part to lure Akise who loves playing detective also used his dogs and his daughter to do it as well as getting the permission to hand his diary to his daughter.. which happened.
But went even better when Yuki..... (sighs) i think he thought he will look good and stuff if he said something about that diary which he did. Then ends up getting captured instead.
Im guessing maybe in the finale Yuki and Yuno will eloped and will have the same attitude like ignore friends and kill whoever opposes them lmao.
because at the moment even though Yuno keep giving warnings to Yuki .. he doesn't listen. This will probably then lead to this experiences which probably then serve as a lesson for Yuki To win the game.
Still I felt like Punching Yuki =.=...
Anyway the episode was good and you can totally feel how angry Yuno .. looking at her face expression xD...

But don't you think Hino kind of resemble's Yuno's body/face/eyes and hair with only color as difference? xD

well that was invented in the anime, in the manga kousaka tells him there's now way he's going to follow his order , so yukki had to prove he can see the future to get kousaka to help him.

Its fairly obvious why Yuuki is reluctant to return Yunos feelings... putting aside the minor detail of finding her hacked-up parents, I couldn't help but hate her 'jealous rage face. Just be happy for him you bitch! Even if she does actually have a strange way of being right abt all the psychotics they keep running into.

I'm intrigued by AA, I wonder what his diary does and how broke his mind is. Nobody, even Yuuki by this point, seems quite sane... I sense he's ready to leave her side the moment someone else seems able to protect him from her.

Actually I just realized that if that's him in the ED w all the centric rings whirling around him, and it sure looks like him, AA is the only one we don't see vanish... read into hat what you wish...

I expected Akise Aru to be a diary holder..... This anime is so easy to predict. But I didn't expect Hinata to be a Diary holder as well. Pretty sure the guy eating ramen earlier was the guy at the beginning who wanted to transfer his diary, and I think he's in alliance with someone.

Akise is getting quite the attention, I see. I find it funny that some people claim this anime is so easy to predict. Especially in this part of the story. Then again, after a cliffhanger like that, it's probably very easy to jump to conclusions.

I liked this particular arc better than Reisuke's arc, it's not as straightforward as that one. Having already read the manga though, the impact of this episode has been lost to me. I would've been just as surprised otherwise. Still, I commend another well-adapted episode.
