Bruh. Himari is the one who best friend-zoned Yu. And now she's the one who's upset that he treats her like a best friend instead of a lover? Maybe she has a fetish for taboo relationships where she expects Yu to take advantage of her and go from best friends to a secret lover or something like that. But Yu isn't that kind of guy, and Himari should know this. Also, I think Yu was set up as the awkward guy, but as of this episode, it's Himari who's really awkward lol.

Don't remember the last time I've seen people switch gears on a girl so fast before. I thought Himari would be the fan favorite while Rin would get the hate. Depending on what Himari does next, the situation might get reversed. She's the victim of the system that SHE created. I really hope she'll pull herself together fast. She's still an entertaining character. But her games will get old fast. And she'll have to stop playing games if she wants a real chance with him. Wonder if things will go back to normal in the next episode.

And yeah, this episode looked rough. Episode 1 and 2 looked pretty good. So WTF happened here? I hope this is just a one-off and the rest of the episodes will look good. But that rarely happens.

I appreciate Makishima's role in this drama at the end. Though, the model change suggestion could've been too much at the moment, as Himari was already on edge.

Himari spilling the water on Yuu's head also seemed too much but I like that she's at least honest about her frustrations. I don't know why she was insistent on staying as friends all this time, but guess she'll have to make a move now. Saw so many people hating on her, but this actually just made me like her even more. Of course Yuu can't really be blamed for what happened here, but her crash out made sense to me.

Personally, I like this progression but I'm worried that this might be progressing too fast since it's still the third episode. I'm actually glad that they don't stall the progression, but I'm worried about how the latter part of the season is going to be. Hope I'm wrong with my concern here.

Also, I noticed some questionable animations here and there this episode. Seemed to happen when the frame was zoomed out and is focused on the surroundings. Is this something that just started happening? Because I didn't notice it in the previous episodes.

He's so dumb it hurts. Himari is the worst though, why does she love torturing herself? They both need to stop rejecting the feelings they have for each other. She's really being annoying. The lover boy's eyes would be for you if you didn't friendzone him or set him up with Enocchi

That last scene was so cringe. Makishima is also dick for pushing Himari to the edge. Also what was Yu thinking when he said about making Enocchi the new model was crazy

Alright, where do I start? It was a funny and enjoyable episode so far.

Himari’s shy moment was super doper cute—but other than that, she was kind of annoying.
I can totally understand why her behavior felt so over-the-top..
Still, I really liked the way she snapped when she hit her limit, it was abit realistic to me and funny.

And as always, Enomoto is adorable—her tiny chest crack is just too cute, hehe.

My problem with these pilot episodes are that i feel we are getting not enought content. For example we are in 22nd chapter in manga at this point . So how come 3 episodes could cover 22 whole chapters . So many inner dialogues were cut off and i think those cuts will affect our perception for the anime in the long run . Himari talks way more about how she feels in the manga absence of those dialogues might make people misunderstand the character

So Yuu also had some feelings for himari, but with that best friend thing going on both of them can't get their feelings sorted out, right? Especially with Himari, i don't hate her yet but she better stop doing things that will complicate things for her feelings with Yuu even further.

The best episode so far
This is suppose to be an eye opener for Himari. It's going to cost ya if everything is turned into a joke including SERIOUS moments. We'll see if they'll make her serious or turn it into a goofy moment and we'll go right back into it again. After all, this is episode 3.

I understood every characters' action - Himari's crash out, Makishima's cunning behavior (MVP by the way), Yuu's insistence on staying as bffs cos she keeps playing in his face.
Even his words at the end is justified cos this boy is frustrated okay.
Also, I'm all for team Rin but all these will probably be pointless since she's being used as plot device to push the other characters.

I really loved how Himari helped Yuu in the past and their friendship is really beautiful, but Himari is wrong now, she really needs to confess her feelings, but of course Yuu needs to do this too.
I falled in love four times, four best friends, i understand the fear that Yuu is feeling, the girl doing some things and you can't understand whats really going on, if u are seeing things or if she really wants to do something or not... the fear of trying to do something and finalize the friendship and all...
However, i think Yuu was a little bit rude with Himari in the end, so maybe really he deserved that.
At the same time, Enomoto is amazing, she is beautiful, she is the first love of Yuu, she is trying to show him the love and respect that she has for him, it is going to be hard for him...
Im really excited for the new episodes

Himari is the type of person I haaaaaaaaaateeeeeeee!!! Stop sending mixed signals jesus mother of all that is freaking holy! Get your shit together! I would have told her to stop hanging out with me until she sorted her shit out lmao

Enomoto is perfect for him. She is straightforward about her feelings, she has a funny personality and she appreciates his passion. Done and dusted. Himari dederves the friend zone!!

Pay attention watchers. Mikishima wants Enomoto as Yuu's "main model". Episode one there's a promise that Himari will always be the main one to promote his accessories which Yuu broke.

Damn it. I really want to root for Himari, but damn she needs to get it together!!! She yearns for Natsu to look at her in an endearing way, but with the endless teasing she keeps on doing of course he’s not going to take you seriously.

So she has constantly hindered herself countless times and she reaping what she sowed.

That ending though! Bruh…

This anime is gonna leave me with the same impression with previous season's Class no Daikirai, which is not exactly a good impression by the way.

yeah I feel that. will be popular because cute girls but the personalities largely suck. especially himari. yuu is classically dense but also seemingly refuses to accept his own feelings consciously, and even when blatantly confronted with reality avoids dealing with it (e.g. when he's told point blank that he was confessed to)

enomoto is, so far, the only character you can really not dislike (wingman is fine too, they gave him the sleazeball archetype but he is clearly trying to get our characters to actually be honest with each other so you have to root for that)

Binged three episodes today. Not really into genki girls like Himari, but I’m rooting for her. That said, with all this wishy-washy back and forth, she’s gonna end up like a modern Onodera.

Great last scene though. It looked kinda funky (def a drop in quality), but you could tell Himari was hurting—valid crashout, tbh

A lot of peeps mentioning the animation quality drop off, but I didn't really think the previous episodes had great animation. I would have to go back and look.

Anyway, I actually enjoyed this one more than the others. I thought they were going to really drag out this Himari secretly loves Yuu ordeal. I'm happy they didn't. The end scene was pretty funny. Yuu is not very bright when it comes to picking up on other's feelings (like most male leads in shows like this,) but that kind of made it funnier when he got the drink dumped on his head, lol. I just imagined his confusion in that moment and it cracked me up. Poor guy got dumped and wasn't even dating anyone. That also cracked me up a bit. Overall, still not up there with the best shows of the season, but it has been decent enough. Hopefully, the focus stays with two girls and doesn't start adding more at some point.

Also, that scene when they were in the classroom together, I couldn't tell if Himari actually was mad Yuu didn't kiss her when she mumbled, "What are you waiting for? I gave you the green light." I mean, if she would have just waited a couple more seconds he was definitely going to. I'm guessing she mumbled loud enough on purpose to tease him, but her behavior was so erratic this episode, it was hard to tell, lol.

This is not even a love triangle competition. Himari is throwing so much... She is a top-tier griefer at this point. I can't even imagine the redemption arc after that meltdown.

Also, MVP for Shinji! We are only on EP3, but thanks to him, it feels like S2+ for a normal triangle rom-com.

Please don't tell me next episode will just consist of Yu grovelling to get Himari to like him again, even though he did nothing wrong to begin with. Strongly considering dropping this if that happens 🤦🏽‍♂️
@Tahmim97 Brother I'm pretty sure you're 100% correct knowing how males in anime (and Japanese culture as a whole) are basically cucks who love it when women walk all over them

Men, walk away from a woman like Himari after the first time they do that kind of bait-and-switch with your emotions. While slightly amusing in a story, in real life a woman who behaves like that is emotionally abusing you for her own amusement.
@TatteredNSoulles A comment with actual common sense. I cant believe all the people actually still rooting for Himari. They're either females or cucks (as most male anime characters or Japanese men are). I wonder if they'd feel the same way if it was a male character acting out like that.

Both Yu and her get on my nerves but at least I can give Yu the benefit of the doubt because I can imagine how he's had to live all this shit with Himari all this time.

Also, that last part was supposed to be funny? It was weird.

Less than three full episodes before the friendship is in sambles and the love is unbearable.
Man, romcoms this days don't seem to like building the characters relationship on-screen.

This anime is clearly one of the few exceptions where I go against the blue haired childhood friend.
Ironically so, it seems like they will try to make her win in the end despite not deserving it considering her behaviour.

Himari needs to stop cockblocking herself if she wants to advance. Setting a mood only to turn it into a prank knowing it will completely derail said mood isn't the best play. She's been playing herself this whole time wanting more than the best friend role but not actually taking advantage of her position.

I did not expect them to go this far already. Himari and Yu are already splitting up?!?! This episode honestly made me like Himari a whole lot less as she was clearly acting selfishly and becoming more desperate throughout. Instead of accepting the fact that she lost, she was trying to get in the way of Rion and Yu. I also respected Yu's ability to read the situation and turn down Himari in a kind but clear manner. That is something that a lot of anime protagonists are really terrible at recognising and doing. No clue what the outcome of this is going to be but I can somehow easily imagine that things are going to annoyingly go back to how they were before, as we still have 9 episode left after all.
@InfinityDude88 This is actually some interesting psychology imo. She’s in full denial but faced with real rejection from her standpoint, she finally reacts instead of trying to play it off like usual. Having been with Yuu for so long, she lived thinking this was her place no matter what. She relied on that reality. Even though she sees herself losing from a logical standpoint and has been been fighting to accept it within herself, emotions are not that logical. These two things can easily form a contradiction in behavior when logic and emotion are out of sync. Whether this makes her a bad person, this is still how she felt. Sometimes if the feelings are strong enough, you are unable to stop it no matter how hard you deny it, no matter how bad of a person it makes you.

Where she failed in this episode was actually inviting him to kiss her on the table but then recording it as if it were like usual and then expecting he should have still kissed her. I would hope she realized at some point herself that she chickened out. Totally self inflicted. It’s really her own fault.

But with the way romcoms normally prolong things, I wouldn’t be surprised if they return to friendship status in the next episode…

This time, Himari behaved very differently compared to usual. Now her jealousy took form—her behavior showed that there was jealousy there. It's just a shame that our MC, Yuu, wasn't able to catch this. So far, only Shinji has been able to detect Himari's jealousy. Well, because he knew, he actually heated up Himari even more. It seemed that because Shinji was heating her up, Himari couldn't stand it anymore. In fact, at the end she said something very surprising—she said that she wanted their friendship to end there.

this episode was awsome!!! I didn't think the Blue haired girl would reach this level of jealousy until like episode 8 or 9. regardless it was interesting to see Her react the way she did. Also I can't decide whether I hate or love the guy with the fan. Because he was the one to bring out this jealousy out of the blue haired girl. anyways I'm as if not more exited about episode 4 as ever. Hope everyone has a nice day

With the realization of Enomoto being Yu's first crush, and furthermore with Himari's teasing of the possible relationship between the two then and now, things are unfortunately not this way. At the very least, having Enomoto around means she can help Yu guard against Himari, though her provocations only make matters worse for Yu, like teasing him to do the deed while they're alone. Yu may have almost lost his moral sense, but so too is Himari wanting him to dig further into her play.

Of course, nothing goes out the ears of best buddy Makishima who takes Yu's comments coolly, though Himari sure took cues for Enomoto giving Yu a rather perfect shot of the flower accessories. But to replace the choker that resembled their friendship for the past few years for the new tulip hair pin accessory, Yu wouldn't think twice about considering for Himari, though with Makshima and Himari around to celebrate the occasion, him being forced to put the hair pin on Enomoto sure brings about some entertainment. But there comes a point where Himari just could not take it any further, and Makishima's goading only makes the situation a whole lot worse...for a potential break up.

Welp, it has to come to this point no matter what. The question is how long will this last?
