| As I said and answered in the recent thread topic concerning favorites of the decade, it's much to my chagrin that I haven't seen nearly as many older anime series as I would have liked to yet at this point in time, considering the massive backlog which constitutes my PTW list. That is true for series from the 1970s and 80s, but even the 90s, which is like my era and I have seen so much non-anime content from it's unreal. I've only seen a handful of 70s, 80s, and 90s anime compared to ones from 2000 - present. I think it's because, as I said in that other thread topic, when I started watching anime in 2016 I watched mainly series from the 2000s and 2010s, and then in 2021 started regularly watching seasonals which gradually came to form the majority of what I watched. So I've seen a lot of 2000s, 2010s, and what we've had so far of the 2020s by now, but not as much earlier. Eventually I'd like to go back and rectify that and even watch older series than that to the extent they exist and are available. 1950s is too early as I don't believe there were any actual series as we know them aired on TV until Astro Boy in 1963, but there should still be a decent number of even 1960s series worth checking out too. Eventually. Anyway, for now I'll just cover the 2000s - 2020s ones which represent the whopping majority of what I've seen. And obviously, it goes without saying, this doesn't represent every single series from these decades but only from among what I've seen, as I of course can only judge what I've seen (not counting stuff I dropped either, as I don't rate anything I haven't completed in full and also don't feel in a position to judge that for the purposes of questions like this either). I'm also only judging series as one whole complete product of everything from the series that's been released thus far or that I've seen of it. Not season 3 part 2A.1F or whatever. None of that bullshit. I can't believe seeing Aishiteruze Baby on there myself as I rarely see it mentioned by folks in general, positively or negatively. As it stands you have four of my overall Top 20 on your list, which is quite the feat (Serial Experiments Lain, Legends of the Galactic Heroes, Elfen Lied, and yes, Aishiteruze Baby). |

| @BaronLukis I mean yeah, those are the anime i liked the least of that decade And you're right, it's not an objective list, those you mentioned all have some great quality points to them, be it production value, visual composition, or OST (exept Elfen Lied, that was a disaster even objectively) But subjectively they all range from dislike to hate for me for various reasons PS: you mentione MiA twice, i'm gonna guess one was suppost to be Madoka? |

Will do this by decade I've existed. 1980s: Violence Jack: Evil Town - An orgy of lesbian rape, necrophilia, and cannibalism make this the nastiest installment of the Violence Jack OVAs, and with little storytelling and characterization to go along with it. 1990s: Garzey's Wing - Sloppy storytelling thanks to the title's pacing and easily the worst work directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino. 2000s: Mars of Destruction - A complete and utter mess with visuals, music, story, and characters all as an animated video game promotion. 2010s: Pupa - Studio Deen's infamous dumpster fire of the decade for whatever hype they were attempting to give it. 2020s: The Day I Became a God/ Kamisama ni Natta Hi - The worst of any title written by Jun Maeda of Studio Key fame with a good bit of sloppy storytelling and pacing issues throughout, and personally irking me with his handling of one story element involving the disabled. |

Didnt see Madoka so i figured it out and erased from the list. Also i can not say if its objectively good as LOGH or MinAbyss.

| @BaronLukis It doesn't hurt me, but it doesn't mean i can't strongly dislike some series LOGH would be the one i dislike the least of the ones you mentioned, just the storytelling didn't really click with me, haven't come across many 80s anime i don't like Elfen Lied and MiA i really didn't like how certain themes were executed Texhnolyze is somewhere inbetween the 2 types |

Not a lot of stuff from that decade that I hated so far. 10s-There was a lot to choose from but Mahou Shoujo Site is not only my most hated anime of that decade but also by far my most hated anime that I watched yet. 20s so far-I'll pick Redo of Healer just because I finished it but in all honesty I hated the two episodes of Kamierabi that I watched a lot more. |
