I think they're going too far with the sexual comedy, it's like this every episode now it's not funny anymore I'm changing my opinion of Kazuma from silly teenager to pervert but apparently that's what most fans want to see.

Iris Route unlocked outta nowhere lol. Hope Kazuma takes care of that ring.

Well, this sure was a fun arc. Dynamic between Kazuma and Chris was great and I absolutely loved Iris's character. Not to mention seeing Kazuma going serious in a fight is always a plus.

Wow, that episode was fantastic! I mean, Kazuma's mask and bralette outfit, the hilarious misgendering of Chris, and Megumin fangirling over the "masked thief" - it was so entertaining! The voice acting is hilarious this season, and I can't wait for the next adventure every week!

Great way to end the arc. One thing I don't understand is the "older brother" thing. Why is he so obsessed over that? Is it a cultural thing? Because it's become super creepy.
Seems the princess did actually know who the thieves were. Megumin fawning over the two was definitely in character, she certainly loves the grandiose things.
Also, when he said "freeze" in a different voice I laughed.

That's exactly it. It's easy to see how it was produced by completely different people than the first two seasons and the movie.

The comedy in those while hilarious, was also clever. This is just slap-stick and stupid.

And like you said -- Aqua, while dumb before, is now just a useless alcoholic lounging around drunk, Darkness is bland and one-dimensional, and Megumin - honestly, I can't remember anything about Megumin in this, and I've watched all six episodes.

And Kazuma, while always a bit sleazy, is now just a lazy scumbag with not one redeeming quality so far.

It's just a shadow of its former self and, personally, I think it's a lost cause as Studio Drive predominantly produces garbage -- the Explosion spin-off, The Demon Prince of Momochi House, Teppen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Vlad Love -- all a waste of time, and some of the lowest rated anime in the last few years. (I think "Explosion" was only rated as high as it was because it's Megumin, as that was not interesting or funny either).
@WienGirl

That’s pretty much how they act in the LN volume when they are at the castle.

I NEED MORE ERIS BRO, LET CHRIS STAY, KAZUMA SHOULD FORCE HER TO JOIN THE PARTY AT THIS POINT LMAO

I still so funny to me that Eris decided to ask for the help of the one dude that has sexually harrased her and has died multiples times lmao

And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

I might be an oddball here but as an LN reader I am quite dissappointed by the anime adaptation. In the LN, the entire heist was treated as this very time constraining and a serious thing where they got to showcase just how brutal and powerful Kazuma can be with his skillset. They also showed just how quick-witted both Kazuma and Chris can be and they're also very well coordinated. Of course there are bits of funny moments here and there but it is more towards cool action sprinkled in with a bit of comedy.

Where as in the anime, they made it seem more comedy sprinkled in with a bit of cool action scenes. They failed to capture how truly deadly the duo is and also the intensity of the moment. The anime also cut many scenes that should've added more to the feats of the dua. Rather than having those few scenes, the anime hit us a with a flashback in the beginning of the episode which was unnecessarily long. I think the fact that they try to make every scene feels "comedic" is a downer for me especially in this season of Konosuba. In the previous season, although there are many comedic scenes, they also have their fair share of downtime where the cast is a bit more chill and not just chaotic all the time. That downtime really adds to the depth of the characters showing that these are actual people who are in an actual party and not just there to as a tool for the sake of gags. The serious moments should be actually serious and the funny moments should be funny, not just trying to make everything into a comedy all the time. What makes Konosuba great compared to other comedy animes is the fact that the cast actually feels like how you'd feel when you're with your friends. We all can act dumb

together and make bad desicions but we also have our fair share of serious moments and times that showcase how well we can work together. The fact that this season of

Konosuba missed the most crucial part of what makes this show unique and one of it's kind really really upsets me.

Personally, that's what I find lacking in this season of Konosuba. As an LN reader, hopefully the director of the show would put more thought on adapting the essence of what makes Konosuba special.

This episode was pretty fun lol. Kazuma was actually going off for once in that operation lmao. Megumin seems to be a fan of black outfits, wonder how she would react if she were to come in contact with shadow garden xD. So Iris knew in the end, of course she would, Kazuma is her beloved Onii-san after all lol.

Never ending plan to watch list...

What a great episode. Felt like a 5 minute episode though. I enjoyed reading this princess arc in the light novels and I am glad to see it animated.
Sure, skipped a bit in this adaption but I'm not complaining. It's not easy to adapt series.
I feel like the comedy is still there so I enjoyed every minute of it.

Mitsurugi being useless was no surprise there. Easily taken out. Kazuma turned badass and I loved it. He's powerful when he has the hidden secret cheat moves.

OMG I was cying of laugther. Maybe one the best episodes of Konosuba yet - peak humor. Everything fit so well, Kazuma acting so very much like Vanir and being hyper-competent for once, the OST going full out with the heist theme, the belly-free shirts of their outfits. xD

THe only thing I regret is that we did not get to enjoy more body swap time ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Even if Konosuba is a 100% comedy, it should still be tied down to some level of congruence.

There are 2 massive inconsistencies in this episode.

The royal guards just allowed Kazuma to go scott free after he changed places with the princess. In any kind of medieval country he would had been charged and executed for such insult to the crown. I'm not even mentioning the fact that Iris was punched in the face while on Kazuma's body in the previous episode and somehow that's also being swept under the rug.

The other inconsistency was that Darkness told Iris and her royal guards that the necklace had such a dangerous power. They never asked her how she got this kind of information, they just said "ok" and moved on.

Iris wasn't punched, Kazuma was.

Kazuma is the best friend of the Princess and the daughter of the most important Duke, he won't be executed so easily.

Darkness' friend is the greatest Archpriest in the world and everybody knows about Divine Relics, if Darkness with Aqua backing her says the necklace is dangerous, than it's dangerous.

@M-Seven_ofc Perfect, I don't even need to add anything else, you said everything I wanted to say, the anime doesn't understand Konosuba's tone, they treat it as a gag show and nothing more.

From our hero's grand entrance.

To their starting gun's opening salvo.

As they defeated the enemies.

So did they successfully clear the tower and grab the loot.

Then ofc...

Get scammed by the devil that they made a contract with.

Truly a fantastic campaign played out here by Kazuma and Chris. The two DEX characters shined in the best way possible.

Getting caught out when they tried to make a check and forgot to shut up while sneaking.

Classic Konosuba.

A great episode with the whole arc enclosed within one episode's sprint. Extremely well done.

One of the best they've thus far adapted. Keep it coming. 👍

I really like Konosuba despite its flaws, its a comfort show for my husband and I, but it just feels like they keep making it more and more wish-fulfillment for its male audience. Don't get me wrong, I like boobs and butts and the ecchi in Konosuba has always been there (the entire series is viewed through the male gaze even when Kazuma isn't there), but it just keeps getting worse.
I get that Kazuma has done a lot for this world, but he's still an overall terrible sex pest who is constantly being shitty to all the women around him and they don't care. I can buy this when it comes to Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness, as they're outcasts who have been welcomed by Kazuma's party. It starts to become less believable though when every girl just conveniently forgets that he sexually exploits a child princess's body, including the princess herself. She just seems to be fine with him using her body for his own pleasure without her consent, and I doubt that her guards would let him do this unpunished even IF Iris was okay with it. (admittedly she'd probably get mad with them doing this but when are her wishes ever considered??)
She's shown being uncomfortable with him when he is turned on by her calling him "Onii-sama" but keeps doing it and just forgets that it was ever something she was uncomfortable with. I know as a Princess she's been raised in a strict household but I think the show demonstrates "child princess falls in love with the first rude, brutish man she's ever met who is also 3 years her senior" as being a good thing. Even taking into account this is Ye Olden Days, Kazuma knows that his lust for Iris is deviant, and her wanting to be with him doesn't make it less creepy. (Yes the anime shows him as creepy but he is still overall rewarded by the narrative and has no punishment for anything he does beyond getting scolded). He assaults Kris in this episode AGAIN and this time she doesn't even reprimand him even though it gets them caught by the guards!! Feels like these violations are just "no big deal" in the end. Its incredibly immersion breaking.
I think the anime has always catered to pedophiles, just look at the merch sold of Megumin and all the sexualization the show does to her and her 15 year old friends. I am able to squint past this despite not really liking it because I saw the anime as a funny show that critiques isekai tropes. As the show goes on though, it just leans more and more into that same stupid male wish fulfillment bullshit that it was criticizing in the first place. Kazuma can do whatever devious shit he wants to with no actual lasting consequences on his reputation because he...balances it out with good stuff? I don't buy it anymore, I'm sorry.
