Bland as fuck ending. I literally felt nothing. Ichigo x Orihime and Rukia x Renji.... bah! Feels like Naruto all over again. The RenRuki kid looks really retarded. Like it shouldn't have existed. Bleach gets a 4/10 from me.

To be honest, I'm more surprised at the fact that spirits can have kids.

Makes you wonder what the point of the living world is if in the Soul Society you don't get hungry if you don't have reiatsu, you live for millennia and age slowly, and can procreate.

Any newborn be it in real world or SS is reincarnation of someone passed away.

AS I already said There's nothing wrong with this final chapter. Its a solid sensible ending. What is wrong is few dozens of chapters that should have beenbefore this chapter.

let's not bring up the "it got bad after SS!!111" meme. It was the same. just mainstream people had to transition from anime to manga and suddenly they recognized that it is far easier to consume bleach 20 chapters at once or in animated condensed form than it is to wait for each chapter a week where nothing seemingly happens.

I see potential in Ichi and Orih kid tho Kazui that power like DAMN!

Kubo do everyone some justice and released a special book to answer everyones question -prays in head-

Wow, unbelievable. I've been reading this manga since its inception, but I've never thought I'd be bitter about an ending before in my life. I had to make an account just to air my grievances. Just a few out of the many complaints I have...

1. First of all, that ending. Seriously Kubo? Seriously? You had one last chapter to at least give a half-assed explanation to why Yhwach lost (I would have taken anything at this point, hell, you could've had the Soul King pop back out), but instead you waste it on this family bs. Aizen gives an out-of-character speech about courage, Kazui one-shots the remnant of Yhwach's power. Great. So the trait of being overpowered apparently runs in the family. I can't even begin to describe how ridiculous it is that Ichigo, a man obsessed with fighting is suddenly married. Kubo has made it very clear that he is not a big fan of romance. The only one he somewhat alluded to was between Gin and Rangiku, but he made sure to kill off Gin before he had to write any mushy scenes. But whatever. The only person I'm satisfied with is Chad becoming a boxer, although I feel sorry for his opponents.

2. The sheer amount of ignored and undeveloped characters is astounding. I understand that Ichigo is the main character, and that the story must revolve around him. I get that. But if that's so, what the hell is the point of introducing all these other characters? While it's true that Kubo shows us characters' bankais that we've all been waiting to see, almost all of them are unexplained and thrown in without purpose (ex: Unohana's bankai. Still don't know what she did). Grimmjoww and Nel are thrown in only to fade back into obscurity. Tsukishima (hate this guy) and Ginjo randomly show up to give our trusty ol' main character his power-up back. Urahara's fight is left open-ended. And what the hell happened to Komamura? And Yachiru? Ugh. I guess what has me the most bitter is that my favorite captain Ukitake was given a unique concept of saving the Soul King, but was ultimately tossed aside like nothing just so Ichigo could have his one-on-one with Yhwach (who, btw, subsequently raped him). Smh

Anyways, as you can see I'm salty to the max. I had hoped that at least the announcement would be that there would a sequel or anime reboot that would answer all our questions. But nooooope, we get a live action movie. Oh well. Here's to a series that I could definitely say marked my childhood. R.I.P. Bleach.

So exactly why do you guys think Kubo was "forced" to end the manga? I'm asking because I found this entire final arc to be an incredibly boring failure, just like Hueco Mundo or Fullbringer arcs.

From the beginning to the end the villains always had the advantage in fights; good guys winning at the very last moment in just a few panels; cheap deaths that were often negated; an enemy that wiped itself out twice, rarely letting the good guys get a win; several plot threads left without denouement; Ichigo never became as strong again as he was when he defeated Aizen while his new abilities were always blocked without showing their potential; and a final battle that was so one sided against them they only won thanks to a "Hail Mary" attack.

The moment when Kazui absorbed the final villain by sticking his hand into a hole is emblematic of this entire series, in my opinion. You got a guy who is strong only by the virtue of being born special, who defeats his enemies with no effort. That is also true for most villains, just look at Aizen or Ywach, who won most of their battles by pulling a new secret trick from their hats.

The problem most people don't want to acknowledge is that Kubo wrote a much more ambitious arc than his own writing abilities would allow. And it's not just a problem limited to this arc either. Aizen's defeat was also one of those moments that readers expected to be great, but it all got solved when Urahara revealed his macguffin technique who imprisoned Aizen, making the confrontation between the latter and Ichigo pointless.

Battle mangas live and die by how satisfying those battles are, and this is Kubo's biggest flaw, that for 15 years of publication, very few battles that he penned were actually satisfying. Add to this some very poor world building, characters who make grandstanding speeches just for the sake of it, and you have a manga that will never live up to expectations.

That is the only reason why Bleach is a bad manga. Not because of "haters", not because of evil Shueisha "forcing" Kubo to end the manga. The failures of Bleach lie only on Kubo and Kubo alone.

Probably got canned by WSJ. Read somewhere that it's sales had been declining and that it consistently ranked among the bottom of the magazine. They kept giving him chances, but got fed up and told him to wrap it up, since he clearly wasn't gonna be changing any time soon.

Disappointed anime indeed especially the Yhwach's fight.

Being called the most powerful being, with Soul King power + 1000(?) years of Quincy power by absorbing from all Quincy. Lose to someone who only train for few days for new power.

This chapter is more pointless than the "final" fight with Yhwach. Really sad for unresolved plots and all the forgotten characters. I know, final arc wasn't so good from the beginning but this rushed end is even more WTF. Glad Aizen is alive but really SS imprisoned him again lol?! Is pretty clear he can free himself whenever he want. Ichika and Kazui are very cute :)

Why is it surprising? we have seen noble houses having successors for the family. It's not that weird that souls can reproduce.

Well, i hope that they'll make another chapter to explain all unexplained things..

Yes their bodies mimic live bodies. The only difference is that the only true way tokill someone with a reishi body is to behead them. Other injuries are treatable(Hence why Yuha took his time completely evaporating Yamamoto)

Again that's specific for Byakuya's wife. They adopt children whenthey can't have their own. That's a common practice intended for continuation of noble families.

So this is how it ended... can't help but feel disappointed... I was hoping the ending would had a twist that somehow Yhwach would had won, but that wasn't the case.
And instead of either a sequel or the anime coming back, we get a live action movie... Bleach was a beloved series of mine and was thanks to it that i got so much into anime. So as a fan of Bleach im just sad... I'm sad with how it ended, i'm sad that this arc got so rushed, i'm sad everything we will get after this is just a live-action movie...
But despite everything, i like to say thanks Kubo. I know this is not how you wanted to end this series, but regardless of that i like to say thanks for the ride.

I think Shihoin clan is a good example of a possibility that they can reproduce as Yoruichi and Yushiro definitelly look related.

The thing is...nearly every manga tells you at the very start who is going to win.

Shokugeki no Souma will almost definitely end with Erina x Souma, Nisekoi was always going to end with Rakujou x Chitoge, etc, etc. Shounen romance is generaly simple af and all comes down to paneling and such.

Bleach managed to build up two characters together for 15 years, build up the idea that it's not safe for Ichigo to stay in the human world (we know this because that's also the reasons Captains need limiters) and build up Orihime growing stronger as a person so she wouldn't have to rely on Ichigo and then, in ONE chapter, toss that all down the drain.

People are surprised because this is the ending of someone who doesn't care about their series. If Kubo wanted to do a troll ending then he should have had Ywach return and kill everyone like that one theory went - that would have been an 'ah man, it was set up and paid off, lel' not a 'wtf is this bullshit.'

For me, I'll just write this entire arc off - I enjoyed the FB arc and felt it added to the characters so that can stay, but this arc...beyond that one mini-arc with Masaki's backstory and Ichigo being kicked out of the SK palace, really didn't do anything for me. He introduced great characters and then did nothing with them, like he always fucking does, and even spent so damn long on the boring ass fights with the SK shittily designed right hand men.

If I were in WSJ - Kubo would never be getting another series with us unless he had a writer. The man has simply lost the ability to tell a coherent narrative.

Good lord,it ended. And what a trainwreck it was.

I found it hilarious how the very last chapter cover has everyone in the human cast shown....And the back of Ishida's head.Really suits his role in the series overall, haha.

Like the last 10 chapters,it was completely rushed and it really, really showed. Ichigo and Hime hooking and getting a kid when Ichigo would barely even notice her was pretty terrible and sudden,if somewhat predictable IMO (like NaruHina, but this one eventually got itself a movie somewhat explaining it). Shounen manga and their epilogues with kids. Renji and Rukia together was cool though.

Having Ywach maybe return, only for Junior to show up and take his residual power out like nothing? Another anticlimax, although teasing Yhwach's return in the first place in the second-to-last chapter was a pretty terrible choice to begin with.

And finally,a glimpse of how the fight ended and...Meh.Nothing was really explained at all,and Aizen,of all people, gives the aesop about courage and needing to accept the reality of death.

Not even gonna bring up the cast that either casually bushed off death,or just plain disappeared (like Grimmjow,Yoruichi and ESPECIALLY Nel and Harribel).

IMO, a lot of the problems with Bleach started at the SS arc. I though the very first arc was by far the best of them all.

Anyway,up until Warwelt happened,Bleach've left me pretty numb. This rushed ending.....Was pretty flaccid as well.

Somebody is completely misreading whole manga through shipper goggles. Uh oh.

Bleach built up both Ichigo and Orihime to open up and move past their past tragedies and build a new happy family with each other. THAT has been constant progress and that as been pretty much the only romance that was constantly moving(pretty much only romance with an actual, even if one-sided, confession too).

What would be other options? Tatsuki? While there was some build up she is obviously lesbian and childhood friend never wins. Rukia? While she was Ichigo's best friend, she never showed any romantic interest and their relationship never moved past platonic the way Ichigo/Orihime did.

Orihime started out as someone lingering onto her brother's death and who lived alone and without a family. She lived alone talking to a freaking portrait and having no idea what she wants of life or even whether her existence is worth anything.
Ichigo started out as someone driven by his guilt to hide behind the punk facade and avoid opening up to anyone around him. He hid his guilt behind his angry face and he grew obsessed with idea of protecting others at the expense of his own wellbeing to the unhealthy lengths(as explored in Fullbring arc).

Through the story we have seen both moving forward because of each other and learning to move past their past tragedies. Hell, we literally spelled that out with the Orihime saying that she will heal Ichigo no matter how broken he geats to Riruka, which is double-meaning in that it both means physically and it both means moving past what haunts them. And by the time of Masaki flashback and the obvious similarities between Isshin/Masaki and Ichigo/Orihime there was pretty much no doubt left that IF romance ever happens for Ichigo it will be this one.

It came to the point that even other characters like Rangiku, Ulquiorra, Grimjow, Nnoitora or even Rukia noticed their building romance. If anything it was set in stone ever since the battle against Ulquiorra. All that was left was for Ichigo to accept himself and heal emotionally, escaping being haunted by despair surrounding his life. Which he did in the last arc. I mean you would have been blind to not notice that they will pretty much become a pair in the last arc, especially in the last tagteam fight.

The end result makes sense - Orihime finally has a family and is not alone in the world and Ichigo has learned to smile and too has moved past his past tragedies.

Though I would never had guessed that parings for the characters would happen right at the end lol In that case, Then even Gintama might hopefully do the same thing once it ends at well, but in that series they actualy have build-up for most of the characters xd

But at the same time was a LOT rushed, Kubo decide to end everything with only a few pages, ignore the end of a lot of popular characters, i mean we didn't even saw Urahara, Yoruichi ?

It's weird when you realize that you've been following this for more than 10 years. Time passes so quickly. I'm a bit bummed by the ending. So many unresolved plot points and loose ends were left hanging. What was the Soul King in the end? Most importantly, why is it called Bleach? We'll never know... That aside, it was a nice ride everyone. I hope Kubo partners with a good writer and makes a gem as he's a really talented artist with lots of untapped potential. Have fun everyone and keep being great!

Well that chapter...existed. Wasn't good, not bad, just existed.
Although, anyone else find Chad becoming a boxer weird? Like, considering his backstory/personality and such it seems odd to me that he'd take up a career in punching people.

I'm disappointed in myself for having continued to read this garbage after the Aizen arc.

What a waste of time, the ending is even worse than Naruto's.

And no Rukia+Ichigo ending? That's some major bullshit right there. Years ago I would've been disappointed, but I've already reached a point where I don't expect anything from this trash manga.

I'm glad it's finally over, what a waste of time.
Definitely can't recommend this to anyone... if anyone actually plans to read this in the future, do yourself a favor and stop after the Aizen arc.

Kinda annoyed that Ichigo chose the same haircut as Naruto in the future, but working in a clinic wouldn't allow him that wild metal hair that looks epic on him

What.. ? He actually looked like a younger Isshin, rather than hokage Naruto.
exactly lol. I don't know why people feel the need to try and compare this to naruto when the endings are nothing alike besides both having children.

Somebody is completely misreading whole manga through shipper goggles. Uh oh.

Bleach built up both Ichigo and Orihime to open up and move past their past tragedies and build a new happy family with each other. THAT has been constant progress and that as been pretty much the only romance that was constantly moving.

No no no - I assure you I am reading it clearly, I would be happy for Ichigo to end up with someone else but Orihime? Lol

It wasn't. At all. Ichigo never even looked at her romantically, he never looked at Rukia either but at least he...had interaction with her outside of a group setting, or a fight. Orihime was moving forward, as a person, to grow beyond the idea of hero-worshiping Ichigo.

Oh wow, she would heal him - do we ever actually see any moment, ever, of Orihime helping Ichigo mentally. I mean ever. She has an entire damn breakdown about how it's always Rukia who helps him through his problems, and it is, with Matsumoto. This does not change. Orihime has never been the person who Ichigo talks to about...anything, at all. Ever. Do you see where I am coming from.

JESUS CHRIST. The characters noticed her lover FOR HIM, not a budding romance. Are you the shippiest motherfucker around? They had one tagteam fight and that makes them a pair? That was the only moment in the damn series that they actually felt like friends, that they actually seemed to speak to one another and if you can't fucking do that after a couple of years fighting then I don't know what to tell you.

Open your damn eyes, their development is wank. Ichigo never gets over his loss anyway, his loss is pretty obviously represented as his hero complex from a psychological sense. Unless you're saying that - off-screen, Ichigo gets over his hero complex, falls in love with Orihime for no reason other than...boobs? And they bang pretty much immediately after Ywach dies.

Also his haircut looks fucking shit - at least Orihime, Renji and Rukia all look good in the last chapter.

Did Bleach just pulled a Naruto ending?

Yes, yes my friend he did... well that is 15 years I wont be getting back. Such a waste. No news about the soul king, everyone did nothing since ywach killed his own men, apparently Yoruichi Kisuke are obviously irrevelent and dead. And the best part of this is that instead of explaining all these plot holes, Tite Kubo decides to show something so irrelevent to the plot! Bleach was never about pairings, so for saying this was a fitting end is quite bs. He ruined Chad and Uryu. Chad using his strength for his own purpose and Uryu becoming a doctor just like his father... some bs. I'd give the ending a 1 out of 10 if I could.
Just an FYI I dont understand how Kazui can transform into a soulreaper by will when Ichigo uses kon or a combat pass to change...

Well that ending was pretty alright, Seeing Ichigo and Orihime getting together, Rukia and Renji as well and finally their children.

But I feel there should be more in the end. Overall the manga was good but got boring in the end.

Yes, yes, yes. Memories of Nobody. So instead of flesh and bone made out of carbon and calcium we instead have flesh and bone made out of reishi... Which also causes them to age slower, except in Ichika's case.....

Yes their bodies mimic live bodies. The only difference is that the only true way tokill someone with a reishi body is to behead them. Other injuries are treatable(Hence why Yuha took his time completely evaporating Yamamoto)

Wasn't it implied that they adopt spirits, not reproduce?

Again that's specific for Byakuya's wife. They adopt children whenthey can't have their own. That's a common practice intended for continuation of noble families.

True and Yorouchi's sister help with that, however it is said that Ichigo was dangerous because he was alive and shinigamis are daed aren't they ? So they shoudn't be able to have kids or if they are, it should have been forgiven.
