All of them deserve to be there for that reason; mal's top anime list is a list of the best received anime by it's members, nothing else. It's not really a matter of whether an individual will neccesarily enjoy those same shows as well. There's really no definitive answer as to what makes those shows in particular enjoyable because they're all different shows. I can't compare them all. I just look at the top ranked like this. For example, I'm watching Steins;Gate right now. "Hmm, Steins;Gate is ranked #2 with a 9.18. Wow. There's gotta be a reason why people love it. I think I'll check it out." You see what I mean. That's how I look at the top anime. And if I end up not particularly enjoying, I can't really scream bloody murder. It's a show I decided to watch. As for if this is a stupid thread or not. Nah, I wouldn't say so. It's a cool thread which opens up debate on the subject. |

It'll get lower once it starts airing. Shouldn't really be much of a problem. That being said though it doesn't really bother me in the slightest that it's that high. You can't let one show aggravate you like that because of its rank. |
