Like, I go back on old youtube videos around 7 years ago, And i just try to relive my past because it was that enjoyable, My childhood was amazing, My adulthood not so good, Im more lonely, Less interested, Cant play games for hours on end anymore.

I use to be able to watch a whole anime season in 1 sitting, Its now gone from getting my BH9530TW which i been saving ages for to not even putting it to use, Recently hacked my BDP to make it region free. Imported girls bravo only got through 1 episode so far.

Ofc there is good news like i might be getting a job learning to drive etc, But i miss my innocence and the ability to do things for long period of times

So do you ever dwell in the past?

I play old ps1 games all the time, especially Crash Bandicoot... And i used a LOT of time on a virtual chat room called "Habbo Hotel" and I often log on, just to once again realise how borring it is.

As children we yearn for adulthood. Once we become adults, we yearn for childhood. We don't know what we have until we lose it.

Your Tears Of Regret Can Not Turn Back The Hands Of Time.

I'd rather not dwell on it. Sure once in a blue I get some nostalgic memories and they are great! Dwelling on the past to much makes it hard to move on forward. Things will forever be changing and there's noting you can do about that, you just gotta adapt and keep moving.

Yeah.
Sometimes (more like once a day) I go watch cartoons and I feel like a kid again. I don't miss being one, I love my life, but I get a bit stuck in a past, for a few hours.

Don't get me wrong, I miss my childhood and old memories but I don't dwell on it and wish I could go back.
I make new memories and I really enjoy being an adult as well, there are cons and pros to being an adult just as there are as being a kid.

Definitely.

There's still some part of me that still thinks I'm the straight A student I was in high school and won't let go of it, even after two years of university studying engineering, I've obviously dropped to B's and C's.

I can't play games or watch anime like I did in high school. That's something I really miss because I need something to do other than study, and I feel like I do nothing but. Just whenever I pull up a game (usually something from my childhood like Pokemon Gold or something), I keep thinking it's a waste of my time and can't truly get into it. Anime isn't so bad, but even then I rarely find a series I think is worth staying up late to marathon anymore. Finding friends was so much easier too, I have lots of friends in class, but they're all male and I don't have any female friends to go out with or ask for advice and crap.

I think there is a part of me that tries to act like it's still high school so I don't have to come to the realization that I'm an adult now. I hate having to stress on stuff like how I will pay my tuition this time or knowing where I will live next semester.

There's nothing more to dwell in the past for me as I could say it's not worth for a dwelling, my present is in deep sh*t right now like seriously speaking, but somehow of some sort I'm still surviving, so thanks God. In the future? Full of anxiety and fear for an inevitable loss, but somewhat dreaming. So if I would be ask if I'm dwelling with the past, no I'm not. In the present, not as well. Future, supposedly but I'm having fears, so fail.. So I'm just living like go with the flow... xD

I go down memory lane once in a while but I'm not stuck there. What I miss about my childhood is that you weren't really bound by all these stupid social rules everywhere. If I wanted to go do something, I could just head out and play with whoever I found outside, now it's a different story and people seem to take things way too seriously. We all carry so many masks it's ridiculous.

This I agree with (first year was awesome/crazy though), except for the friends part. I have "friends" of all kinds in uni (everyone's really nice in uni), but the crap that teachers tell you in high school that you'll make these "lifelong" friends in uni is BS. Practically all of my closest friends are still from high school. It's funny though because I feel like the people in uni are a lot better than high school in general, but it feels like I'm making more "business/career connections" over here than anything else.

Anyway, OT, dwelling on the past doesn't do shit. Be grateful for the memories, move on and make the best out of your current situation.
