So I guess KILLua really KILL'd them.

Anyway I really liked this episode. Though since I didn't read the manga I can't say how more faithful it's being. Hoping that the Trick Tower isn't censored though.

It was pretty good, it dissappointed me that one of the few times we saw blood the kill was censored. If I hadn't read the manga or saw the previous anime I probably wouldn't have know that Killua killed them. That's the only thing I could really complain about since I thought they were going to cut that scene to begin with.

I love Gon, Killua, and Netero! Ah, they're hilarious. I want to see more SO badly! Can't wait 'till next episode!

Killua, stop acting like you're all that. xD

I like seeing Gon and Killua so bad at everything compared to Netero. It allows room for ALOT of development.

Great episode! 5/5

Loved this episode~ the music was quite good...and the game was fun to watch :) I wonder if anyone know Killua killed them! Guess the girl after Killua was a filler~
I hope we will see some blood in the tower~ if not that's still fine ^_^

I wish they put the thing about the girl and killua issue.... Though of course putting that would result into two episodes instead of one... oh well... But then again, these side stories are what constitutes a great anime and made the readers love it I really think it's no good to overlook these side stories... If people think that this anime is good so far with just what they have seen in this 2011 hunter x hunter, i suggest watching the old hunter x hunter. Those were really good and inspiring.

The scene with Anita wasn't in the manga, completely made up so not much was missed with that. It's not that it was bad to put it in the original but it wasn't in the manga.

FAVORITE EPISODE SO FAR! Mostly because Killua actually killed the guys. I thought this anime was going to head in the childish direction and honestly thought that the scene would have been skipped or that Killua would have just scared them with his evil aura. HE ACTUALLY KILLED THEM and there was blood! There's a lot of hope for this new version after all, shows that I guess they won't censor it to the point where there won't be as much killing and to the point of no blood.

EHHHH!? Dude did you really think they'd show Killua slicing there heads open like that. Come on! It comes on in the mornings on a sunday. Kids could see that. But Atleast he killed them right? Maybe they could of just shown Killua move his hand fast and show like a few lines showing where he slashed them and then them falling and blood splashing out after they fall. BE HAPPY THOUGH

I know what you mean with that but from what I understand One Piece airs even earlier and that is more graphic. It doesn't bother me too much but it worries me for trick tower. One of the best scenes might end up getting cut out.

Wow, actually an episode I found to be "okay".

The crucial scene with Killua at the end wasn't perfectly conveyed, but that wasn't possible anyway. It's still a sunday morning anime.
But it was fine that way. Killua's urge to kill rising after Netero got that last ball was shown quite good.

Also the animation was better this time, imo. The ball catching scenes were way more fluent, then the Hisoka fight scene.
Speaking of him, the cardhouse scene was fine too.

Didn't like Kurapika explaining why there won't be an exam on the ship though. That way it wasn't funny at all, when Tompa came to look up, if they're beat or anything. Was way more humorous in the manga. :x

However still would bet that I'll hate the next "crucial scene" from Killua. But that won't be in episode 8, I think.

Ahhhh I see what you mean but think about it. This may be a scheme to get the audience in and then be more lenient on the violence later. If you think about the patterns, it starts off with Hisoka making that guys hand disappear in the 3rd episode, then Hisoka killing those guys with one card and no blood being on the card and then it upgrades to Killua actually killing two people and blood showing. You see a pattern? As the series progresses, the violence is getting more and more apparent. Hopefully it'll continue and soon it'll be a little more graphic so we can enjoy the york shin arc and chimera ant arc more.

And what best scene are you referring to from trick tower. Put a spoiler thing in before you tell me so the nonmanga/nonoriginal anime HxH viewers don't get a spoiler.

That part was truely awsome and I'm hoping it isn't cut out. If it is it wouldn't kill me because I could always see it in the old anime but still it would be awsome to see.

Best episode yet. This week's animation made up for last week.

I would really love it if they put some of the extra padding from the original anime in here. I know nothing is lost because it wasn't originally in the manga, but I really loved some of that stuff, especially the ship part of the exam.

YEAHH, THIS IS IT!!

Really, finally I get the "feel" of HxH in this episode. This is what HxH should be.

Even though it still censored, but I love the scene when Killua kills the 2 applicants (at least there was some blood there). Depict exactly who the real Killua is.

5/5 for this episode. The following episodes must be like this or even better.

This episode didn't disappoint me nearly as much as episode 6 had. Back to the ok idea of the new HxH. Glad to see an inclusion with the two examinees but...

It's true the anime doesn't say they died, the ride starts with 42 participants and ends with 42. It's not just the subtitles. The dialogue says 42 (yonjuu nimai) in both sections. In the manga they had started off with 42 and then started Trick Tower with 40 (so yes they had passed the egg exam but their dreams ended early lol).

This episode was okay. I was rather looking forward to the downtime the applicants have enjoyed on the airship in the past, but seeing as this remake is all about cutting out the "fat," I already knew I shouldn't expect the breathing room to be included.

Beyond that, the animation was beautiful and the background music was tolerable. For once, Hisoka's theme didn't completely feel out of place; maybe I'm just getting used to it.

Can't wait for the tower next week~

Hmmm...Maybe they aren't dead yet but are in very bad condition and will die later and it'll be announced in the beginning of the next exam. Another possibility is that maybe they think that there's 42 applicants and haven't found the 2 dead bodies yet.

The point was to show off Killua's brutality that resulted from his assasin upbringing. They did that pretty well. You can see and hear that much like Hisoka, Killua ends lives without a concern, "they have the same smell" as he put it.
We will see next ep if they go with 40 examinees or 42. Even if they could continue they would fail Exam 3.

Great ep, this anime fails to bore me...

Gon's possitive attitude is lovely - instead of aiming to win, simply aim to accomplish something.

Killua's treatment of his family = creepy + funny.

We know it doesn't really matter and I know that's why they showed that part. Just trying to justify possibilities to the people who didn't read the manga/watch the original as to why, at the end of the episode, it still said 42 applicants left.
