| I'll be blunt. I hated this in the manga, and I hate this in the anime. It was the most ridiculously hyped, most longest build I have ever seen in an anime. EVER! And what do we get out of it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I can't believe Ace has been killed off in such a way. I can't even BEGIN to describe how cheated I feel. No words can used right now to tell of my anger and frustration. Only three letters can sum up my initial reaction before "The RAGE" set in. WTF?!!!!!!!!!!!!! And go away Buggy. |

| Zehahahahahahaha first half no comment...... 2nd part it was solid not epic i already lowered my expectations but ruin half of one of the crucial episodes in the entire story with retarted buggy fillers is still disappointing. |

| Can't believe this moment finally came at the anime x.x I cried my eyes out at the manga and I'm sure if I keep watching undistracted I'll start crying at the anime too x.x Just so sad x.x Ace was my fav char long before this arc and it makes me so damn sadddddd . Though I do prefer how it was shown at the manga . The anime dragged the whole arc so muchhh . *sigh* next epi is gonna be sad too I bet >_< |

| No freaking way! They killed Ace! What was even the point to come and save him if his death was already inevitable? I agree with everything kevin_video said and from the looks of it it seems that everyone knew that Ace will die except me. No offense to anyone, but this episode didn't made me shed a tear for Ace, sure I was sad that he died, but that's all. Maybe I should start and read this arc from the manga. |

| I don't read manga so that was very shocking to me. I honestly did not expect ace of all people to die...the whole war was meant to save him and if he dies then it will all be in vain. What a sad turn of events...oda is just making it epic but i wish it could have been some other way...seriously main characters rarely ever die in shounen anime. One piece has gone up a level in this matter now. I predict a ton of flashbacks and more sad things to come. |

Well if we were to get technical, he would be unable to move his lower body due to having his spine severed, he would be unable to speak due to having his diaphragm destroyed, and he would be dead in under 30 seconds from shock. A little blood coming from his mouth would be the least inaccurate part. |

| Maybe it was Funi and the Hulu link, but the animation seemed to be pretty bad this episode, particularly many of the character designs. However, I did really like how they showed Luffy's face at the end to be like a little kid's face. |
| i think they saved the animation for the next episodes ( who read the manga knows) there are still 6-7 episodes left |
