Hate worse then AM hates the survivors in I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. For any reason. Examples: The messaging is repugnant (like stereotypical or regressive and harmful), it ruins a manga you enjoy, or it just makes you nauseous because it's gross Good By Elvis and USA - Don't like the director as he tries to be Edgy or whatever. Plus it's just gross Puzzle of Autumn - Almost gave me a damn seizure. Abunai Sisters - the only anime i ever gave a 1 to. |
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine. We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by |

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi - I'll never understand why this show has a 7.something rating. Workplace sekuhara isn't OK in the first place, and it's made even worse because the perpetrator is A) the victim's boss, B) told to stop multiple times, and C) hadn't spoken to the victim in a decade but still assumed the victim was interested in him. |

@JaniSIr You stole the words right out of my mouth, it was pure torture just to watch the first 2 seasons hoping that it might improve...but then it never gets better...regretting all the time I wasted when I could have been watching almost anything else. |

The most recent is that Takopi shit, melodramatic situations every episode then solve everything with time travel. It's praised because it has amazing production, but the plot is a pure waste of time. It's a Tokyo Revengers with good production. The other is Evangelion because it's another BIG waste of time. And on the way there's Kaijuu 8-gou, after a great season 1 it's becoming just another boring action shounen. And have in mind that I like action shounen, but season 2 decreased in every aspect. |

Youjo Senki, and Higurashi Gousotsu. Youjo Senki purely because of the main character. I am not going to follow a story that glorifies a fascistic war criminal. It isn't that deep, and there is nothing inherently wrong with depicting such a character, but glorifying them? Even unintentionally if it didn't mean to? Not for me. Higurashi Gou and Sotsu purely because they have absolutely ruined the canon of the story with their subpar writing; ruining characters and make them act out of character, and not only does it miss the WHOLE POINT OF HIGURASHI THE ENTIRE TWO SEASONS, IT GIVES YOU A HAPPY ENDING THAT DOESN'T FEEL DESERVED IN ANY WAY. Words cannot describe my distaste for this. |

Just picture this... hypothetically one day... NASCAR, WWE, and Country Music in North America suddenly get taken over by China. Every event is broadcast in Mandarin, almost every driver, wrestler, and singer is from Shanghai. Hell, every single country song is now almost exclusively sung in Mandarin too. lol Would you still be saying "That sounds nice, I’d listen to that"? lol And it doesn’t even have to be China... it could just as easily be South Africa, Russia, Germany, South Korea, or any other foreign country completely infiltrating and taking over North American culture. |

The English localization loses tons of puns, wordplay, and subtle satire, so it ends up feeling lame unless one understands it the way it was meant to be understood. If someone understands Nihongo extremely fluently and understands the references without needing some real time explanation, there’s a good chance they’d have a very different opinion about it, even if they still didn’t think it was anything perfect. |

@ColourWheel Perhaps that's the case for some people, but I watched the Japanese subbed version and still didn't like it. I enjoyed other shows where numerous references were made to Japanese pop culture like Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh, but Excel Saga was just way too slapstick for my taste. |

There are none that I outright hate or otherwise I would have probably given them a "1" rating on the 1 - 10 point numerical scale, whereas the lowest rating I've given is a 2, which I've handed out to a few series. Meaning that I still see something redeeming within them even if it's solely limited to the initial base premise, however much it isn't capitalized on. Of course there are series I've dropped and those I don't rate at all with any number and the case could be made for some of them that I dislike those even more than those I've rated 2/10s - or would at least if forced to complete and see them through to the end. But none are really that bad - even the ones dropped or rated with a 2/10. Just basically not to my taste. I would liken it to food. I have a very indiscriminate and tolerant, far-ranging palate. I've traveled a lot in the past and always made it a point to try new foods and beverages whenever the opportunity presents itself. And out of thousands of different items tried on that front over my life, there are only really a handful (like five or six) I outright dislike in full and refuse to ever have again. And even of those, I would say only one or two are fully putrid and the others are just down to personal preference. Even the ones I label putrid are of course down to personal preference as well in a way, but there the difference is that from my perspective I cannot see the other side no matter how hard I squint and contort myself, whereas for the others I easily can. Going into the culinary world and gustatory sensibilities is a digression, but the point is, I've to date yet to encounter this "fully putrid" anime. It would probably have to be something that either has zero or almost zero perceived effort put into it - no music, atrocious voice acting, static screen the whole time, and basically a failed project - which probably wouldn't be released as an anime, outside of some amateur's online YouTube channel or other account or website or a failed student film project or something. Practically speaking, I doubt I'll ever come across such a thing. Or perhaps something that is pure propaganda for an ideology or viewpoint I find completely abhorrent with no redeeming qualities, and the anime doesn't have any either message apart from that or any even minor entertainment value apart from it. https://myanimelist.net/anime/32/The_End_of_Evangelion. Not the TV series, just this movie. The fact that it has higher rating than even the TV series absolutely baffles me, it's like it somehow managed to gaslight the audience into thinking convoluted mindfuck is peak. Atleast the TV series was way more coherent. |

Kyo Kara Maoh! - I hate how Yuuri keeps on insisting on being straight throughout the series but Wolfram abuses and harasses him throughout holding him hostage to a mistaken engagement and following him like a stalker, insulting and hitting him for no reason. Wolfram even tried to rape him in the LN and it was swept under the rug as comedy. Despite all that Yuuri doesn't have the balls to put his foot down and reject him and eventually accepts him which is what pissed me off the most. The series romanticizes an abusive relationship and calls it "The Royal Couple". |

@MelodyOfMemory I can't hate Wonder Egg I liked Ai too much... the ending was so bad I basically wrote it off, like ok the dudes who make this are idiots and this ending doesn't exist, she basically carried the show. Boogiepop Wa Waranai dealt with the same themes of teenage struggle and suicide but was much more compelling and profound. And memorable. |

You make a really good point, and while it is true that they can't ruin what preceded them, it doesn't change that GouSotsu are actually considered canon. It's why I can't really ignore it because this was part of the Higurashi experience for me at the time. While GouMeguri may have been a redemption from whatever Passione gave us, it was still a very much subpar plot for the sake of it. Thankfully I sanitized myself by reading the VN. |

Rent-a-girlfriend, because it's abysmally boring, and I deeply resent that such a boring romcom that fails at having compelling romance or even half-decent humor, with a premise that only appeals to incels, is getting a fourth season (and probably more) before shows that are more deserving even get a second season. |

@Richard_drizzle I swear chimera ant arc is the most dragged arc in every battle shounen, it's like the author thinks everything that's happening is the peak of peak but failed to write. At least he convinced his fanbase that HxH is so different from any other battle shounen because it has a power system apparently balanced and fair, but yet Gon pulled power from his ass just to be saved by a deus ex machina later. I can't see why people praise it so much. |

FLCL because of its disjointed, stupid, pervy humor with pedophilic characters that wanna bang a 12 year old. Kotoura-San because the premise made me think it could be okay and then turned out to be the most cliche pervy humor anime where the main girl's grandpa thinks about her sexually... A place further than the universe - Braindead happy-go-lucky girls want to go to Antarctica because one of the girls' idiot mom went out into a very obviously dangerous snowstorm for no reason and got herself killed. They're all clumsy, quirky and screw up at every opportunity all in the name of the CGDCT genre except there's nothing actually compelling about the plot or these characters. They're all copy-pastes of the same ditzy girl archetype with very little variation. Higurashi Kira/Gou/Sotsu - These butchered the existing characters and story when the series should have just ended with Kai. Mars of Destruction/Skelter Heaven/other already mass-hated things I gave a 1 or 2 - these things need no introduction really, they are just that obviously terrible. |

Darling in the Franxx was the most derivative, disgusting and misogynistic garbage I've watched and I've been an anime fan for many years. It even made me swear off Studio Trigger anime for a while lol.
@Galletita read it recently just to read something mecha, I could see the vision but the obligatory fanservice panel every chapter was disgusting and annoying and while I liked some characters why did every development needed to include an info dump?! And then the mechs weren't even good designs or fights The idea was interesting, just done by someone too horny to remember the other stuff at least half the time Now to stuff I really hate... Digimon frontier just really doesn't feel digimon, the fact the most memorable stuff about the characters I can say is-blue lone wolf, yellow hat, girl doesn't help, if it wasn't digimon I couldn't care but it was the moment the franchise started losing its appeal with smart, emotional writing and cute monsters, the lack of the digimon themselves was the worst part (at least gave great lore) The second one is gundam unicorn, a middle finger to every single theme of UC gundam disguised as a shallow fanservice of "remember this place? There will be a fight here", people say it's a love letter to UC, but it miss everything that makes it beautiful Also while most of the show was fine-the last third of gundam seed is an insult to moral dilemmas |
