War devil supposedly wants to erase Death to make an endless World War possible. Since endless war is horrible, we must not erase Death. But wars are primarily bad because they kill people! Sure, they are also bad because of suffering, and a prolonged war will cause more suffering. But will a war with more suffering but no death really be worse than a war with less (still a lot!) suffering and also a ton of death? This seems really counterintuitive to me. And even during a World War some people might be able to stay away from fighting and lead a fine-ish life; but no one will be able to stay away from death. And immortal humanity might even have a decent chance at defeating the War devil! Erasing Death really should be a higher priority than erasing War (and the best thing will be to erase both). |
