More segments about a hit and run incident. This anime is back to its roots with Kobato and Osani working together. This episode bought back some of its food too.

Somewhat of a slow episode but still uses its usual themes. On the art style, I love the background scenes of this episode.

So the pieces in the Hisaka hit n run case are finally starting to come together! Think I got somewhat of an idea what’s going on finally.

Ok so we know Hisaka was cheating on his gf with another girl, or at least hanging with a girl he didn’t want his girl knowing about. We now know she was in high school since her uniform wasn’t from any of the local middle schools(buddy had some pull I see 😂), but hear me out, could the nurse be that girl? We don’t know what year she was in.. if she were a third year, she could be a nurse’s aid at this point a few years later. That could explain why she’s clearly trying to stop Osanai and Kobato from seeing each other.. she could be a sibling too.

I’m still curious about what Osanai was doing in the canal too. It’s gotta be something more than she letting on..

We also haven’t seen Hisaka at a tournament in 3 years so did bro die, move away or just quit baseball? Something’s not quite right here and the hospital not wanting Kobato to investigate properly is odd too. I’m really invested in this case, wonder how they’ll wrap it up in the coming weeks.

Also note that Osanai says she likes how Kobato admits when he’s wrong, something Uryu never really did during his investigation of the arsonist.

Well, it strongly looks like Hisaka might really be dead now. That nurse always acts suspicious, and the way she refused to take Kobato outside just makes her seem even more shady, especially with the screentime she’s getting.

It also looks like Hisaka was cheating with a girl from another city. That’s a long connection, and now I’m wondering if he actually planned his own incident.

Here's my theory regarding the disappearing car, from least likely to most likely
1. The car makes u-turn, thus every witnesses are lying
2. The car drives side road lead to water plant, which mean the driver work at water plant or at least related to worker there
3. The car hides inside a trailer truck.

Nurse's acting more and more suspicious 🤔🤔
Only two more episodes remain the suspense is too much with the ed of each ep.
Who's this new girl with Hisaka ? Is Hisaka still alive ?
Who was the driver ? Did the same driver target Osanai now ?
I hope we get a conclusion to this arc by the end of this season. I don't want to see them ending this season with a cliffhanger.

@XArceusX wow ! Planning his own accident. I didn't think about that. Possible but seems too much.

Thought about that. But the looks doesn't seem to match. But it's possible that she might have changed her looks after some years.

I was wondering how Osanai didnt see or mentioned this mysterious girl in the incident spot in the previous episodes. She clearly turns around and briefly assess the situation before being hit by the car. They did say something about it in the last ep, but it doesnt make quite sense.

Man this arc is super interesting!!! Both the past and the present cases have so many layers and mysteries to them and they are both slowly being unraveled parallel to each other. With each new episode I find myself at the edge of my seat eagerly awaiting every new bit of information we get. I'm enjoying this so much! 😊

I wouldn't be surprised that they make the nurse so suspicious on purpose to be suspicious, and Osanai is great even in flashbacks, the episode flew by in an instant.

Okay, so we finally figured something out, turns out the hospitalized guy cheated on his girlfriend with a girl from a different high school than the one our main cast attends. Cute how he prioritized his reputation over his health, but, how did that actually help?

Like, can't see how this is supposed to be useful, aside from visiting the girl & interrogating her the same way Jougorou did with Fujidera. I get that doing so might bring us closer to the culprit, but I just can’t imagine what this girl knew that would actually help them.

Speaking of the girl, seriously, the moment they finally figure out what high school she goes to, we get slapped with yet another illegal cliffhanger. Gosh. This anime really has some of the best cliffhangers since Solo Leveling Season 2 ended, no joke.

I think in 3 possibility:

1- Hisaka was tired, or bored, and didnt like to play his sport anymore, so he created an excuse to abadon it, making this accident

2- the driver was one those girls of the gang from last season trying to kill osanai and hit hisaka by accident

3- the driver was one of the betrayed girl's parents

Dude finally gets to go to the bathroom on his own. I like how her one a day rule on the chocolates let's us know exactly how long he has been in the hospital. No one commented when the dude got hit by a car and said "they got me"? Who are "they", ahh so it was a girl, how the heck did Osonai not notice her when she walking up the stairs? She was right in front of her.

From my point of view, maybe hisaka was actually stressed with his baseball team. He might not have intended to be serious about joining the championship but was under pressure and expectations beyond his capabilities from various angles, so he had to plan this accident with the girl walking beside him. Maybe hisaka wasn't having an affair with the girl either, maybe the girl had a family member in a hospital who could help him carry out the accident plan and hisaka had known her for a long time. While osanai's presence there might not have been planned but the driver was forced to hit her too to avoid suspicion of their plan, while fujidera's role himself might have been planned and deliberate to be at the location as a witness to strengthen the evidence of their plan. But because they knew osanai was fine, the second accident was carried out again later to cover up the plan. But a plot like this still leaves a lot of plotholes.

The case is slowly coming together, but there are still plenty of unanswered questions. The biggest mystery to me is the gifts Osanai keeps giving Kobato—some of them are just odd, especially the dried flowers. They must be coded messages, but their meaning remains unclear.

As for the driver who hit Hisaka, I still have doubts about whether he was hit on purpose. I suspect the real target was Osanai. And regarding the person who ran over Kobato, they must have some connection to Hisaka’s case. My biggest suspects are the nurse—who has been acting strangely—or the glasses-wearing girl, whose identity is still unknown.

There is a possibility that Hisaka planned his accident so that he wouldn't have to continue playing as he may have grown tired of it or maybe due to the pressure. On the other hand the girl he was with could've planned to have him hit so that he couldn't play anymore but I don't think that a high school would compete with a middle school so that is most likely not it, maybe it could be that she didn't like him two-timing with her.

Regarding the nurse, I'm doubtful that she played a part in the accidents and could just be lazy by not wanting to let Kobato go outside the hospital, or it could be for liability reasons. Having said all that I'm still not sure of a definitive culprit.

My theories are:

1.Someone related to the girlfriend of Hisaka saw him and tried to run him over. They solve the case get that relative arrested, Hisaka gets regretful and mad at mc for exposing him, they make a pact to be normal

2.Hisaka wanted to stop playing badminton so the crazy guy decides to get a relative to stage a crash, They solve the case Hisaka would 100% hate them since he has arrested relative and girlfriend knows he cheated , causing them to make a pact to be normal.

3.Boring answer is they going after Osanai hopefully a red herring.

Second one makes more sense why they make a pact but so does the first one.

Something has been bothering me for a little while...and it's the nurse's attitude. I wouldn't go so far as to say she's mean, but more like she's extremely no-nonsense and all business. Almost like a robot. Is that how Japan's bedside manners for nurses just are, or is it something else, like her individual personality? And why was the water forgotten? I assume it's because beverages are served separately, but she just forgot? I'm probably overthinking it; there must be a deeper meaning behind it.

Sometimes I forget that students in Japan have to buy their own uniforms. Sounds like it'd be a heavy burden for some lower-income families, but I digress. Osanai's short height was probably what gave them an excuse to pretend they were shopping for her, and now I find it hilarious the shop clerk was thinking she was still an elementary school student, who probably could still pass for one even now in their final year of high school.

"Please water the flowers at night." Could Osanai be any more cryptic with the fact that the flowers are already dry-preserved? Or maybe it was just a little joke.

Two more episodes until the season is over, and then we'll find out whether or not Hisaka is truly dead, and why.

The reality of Hisaka losing everything from the hit-and-run doesn't slide well with Jogoro, though after hearing from Ushio about the deeper depths of who Hisaka really is with his secrets, the secret communion with Osanai makes the case clear cut of what and how Hisaka is involved in, and which stories makes the case clear.

Ushio filling in a good word for Jogoro so that Fujidera can meet him, with the real spite that they know that he knows what TRULY happened, in minute detail concerning the girl that was beside Hisaka. And sure, Osanai had a part to play for that too, but she was narrowingly hit as compared to Hisaka with a full hit-and-run, though it's the same girl and Fujidera who helped him contact the ambulance for rescue, though one thing's for sure that it's not the girl that he dated, Okahashi. There's just one difference though: where Osanai truly was about to lose her life through unintentional malice of being targeted, there's the clear indication that Hisaka was the target all along in the first place.

Trying to identify the mysteries girl's school uniform in a heap of uniforms is like finding a needle in a haystack (which they eventually do)...
and even subtle actions like watering flowers goes a long way (if you know, you know).

Ah ofc he didn't find it cause she was in high school. If it wasn't a hit and run and on purpose as hinted then what's the motive. Btw the hospital staff at where Kobato's staying is kinda sus. Like the rehab guy with the injury on hand, cleaner guy forgetting to pick up trash and the nurse forgetting to give him water. Are the both cases somehow connected or? But yeah been digging the atmosphere in this case, just pulls you in. Way better than the first arc this season.

If we don't find anything wrong with that hospital by the end of this arc, then I'm not sure what to say lol. From time to time the staff there gives the feeling that they might actually jump on Kobato. See how the nurse reacted when Kobato mentioned helping police.

Anyway now they know there was a girl and her school. Hope it actually leads to something.
