Well, this case has been the longest one in this franchise at this point. Felt it overstayed its welcome but they finally reached the endgame to catch the arsonist.

They needed a trap for this. Osani's wisdom and analytical skills were also on display again. A well rounded episode from all the buildup imo.

Finally reached the end of the arsonist arc and as you’d expect from this show, there’s a twist lol. Osanai not being the culprit shouldn’t have been a big surprise, but damn all the facts pointed so obviously to her.. you can’t blame Urino for being so confident in his assumption. Jesus tho I feel bad for this kid, Osanai not only shredded his theory, but his confidence 😭 this was brutal

“You’re not an ordinary person” TRUTH NVKE. Kengo letting em know what we’ve all accepted for ages. Osanai and Kobato will NEVER be ordinary nor will they ever find anyone who they vibe with quite like each other.

I really get the feeling Osanai just enjoyed playing around with Urino. We know she’s got a sadistic side from the kidnapping plot last season.. the way she listened to Urino lay out all his hard work, gathering evidence, accusing her etc., and she’s just sitting there like it’s some big game. Truly evil gremlin lmao. The whole time she’s working behind the scenes fo make sure Urino gets things done basically because he’s too dumb(her words) to get it done himself. That’s insane man.

“I’m not saying I lost faith in you, after all I never had much to begin with” holy shit Osanai destroyed this man’s entire soul lmao. Genuinely concerned if he tries to off himself later.. then Kobato’s listening to the whole thing and smirking.. really feel bad. Unlike Kobato’s cheating ex, Urino didn’t really do anything bad . Sure he was a little overconfident, but he didn’t deserve to be demolished like this. F’s in the chat. At least the arsonist is apprehended. Honestly hope Kobato and Osanai don’t get back together but I feel like that’s where they’re going 🤦🏽‍♂️

The truth about Osanai's "suspicious" movements gets revealed in the best possible way: by destroying Urino so thoroughly that he looked like a dead person at the end. It sure was satisfying watching Urino get brought down in that manner.

Osanai finally gets her payback.

Next episode will finally have a proper deduction and breakdown about the series of fire crimes, by Kobato and Osanai.

Holy! that was a brutal character assassination!
Another life "destroyed" by Osanai. My god she's cruel.
One of the most engaging dialogues exchange, watching a well prepared argument torn to shred so easily is ever so satisfying.

Once again, Osanai was controlling the board, but I still wonder who the culprit really was.

Those last words Osanai said—not sure if they were meant with good intent or not—but they were as sharp as they can be, and she was ruthless with them. With those parting words, my girl Osanai finally broke Urino. Hopefully, the dude doesn't get any suicidal thoughts.

Urino was suspecting Osanai so hard that once she started talking and finished, he had nothing left to say. Can’t believe he brought ruin to his own relationship, while our street girl Nakamaru brought ruin to Kobato’s.

Never expected Doujima to say something like that to Kobato. And now that Osanai is single once again, maybe we’ll see Osanai and Kobato get back together. I’m pretty sure most of us want this—but this time, as proper official couples!

Great episode. Although, everyone bashes only on Osanai, I am fully convinced that both she and Jogoro are Psychopaths.. Osanai's conversation with Urino in this episode and Jogoro's conversation with his girlfriend on last episode,...😥😥😥. One of the best anime this season.... I wish it could get more hype...

Oooof, Osonai tearing a new one as always like a wolf.

Now I'm curious, and I'm sure we're getting an answer, who is the arsonist? I can't dismiss it since they did burn certain evidence like the van from the kidnappings, so I think the arc is still ongoing and the mystery unsolved until we get next ep. :0

Very good episode, certainly the best of the season so far, Urino was smoked, and walked away as if he had been poisoned, the words broke the boy lol. But now I'm curious what they're going to use these last 4 episodes for, it's probably to repair the friendship between Jogorou and Osanai now that Jogorou officially doesn't have any friends left, but I wonder how that's going to work, since he was fooled by her, I wouldn't see how that could be fixed.

Damn! That's the definition of gaslighting!
Osanai broke Urino 😭😭
She made sure to cover her tracks and that caught arsonist is probably Urino's friend who might have been put up to this by our mastermind Osanai. Osanai and Kobato are made for each other.
I think it was the right decision for Kengo to say goodbye to Kobato. It's better to stay away from these two devils who are trying to be ordinary when they really aren't capable of doing that.

Man seeing Urino just get deconstructed no demolished by Osanai was wow. He really thought he was someone special when really all he was was an ordinary person. The way that she kept going. Like she didn't need to do that but she just kept on going.

At least though Urino this is a good experience right? Important lesson or something. He's the ordinary in Shoushimin. He got to feel like a MC for a bit at least.

"Please think things through, Urino-kun."
"This boy isn't too bright."
"I'm not saying I've lost faith in you. I never had much to begin with."

It was honestly satisfying to see him put down, but also disturbing how much Osanai enjoyed the conversation.

It's clear that she was leaving behind false clues to make herself look suspicious, so that she can eventually get accused and then call out Urino for how wrong he was.

I can't shake the feeling that she was setting Urino up for another round of humiliation when she "confessed" that she was also trying to catch the arsonist, when I'm sure she had other reasons, and had a hand in the arson to begin with.

Gotta say, I literally can’t wait for the upcoming episode to see how the questioning and rebottling will go between Jougorou and Yuki. That last episode was a masterpiece, if I do say so myself. Yuki acting all innocent, trying to help Jougorou, as if he’s some normie like Takahiko who hasn’t already figured out she’s been the arsonist all along. I loved how he literally said it to her face with a smile—seriously, the guy is as psychotic as it gets. Every time I think Yuki is the embodiment of insanity, Jougorou outdoes her and takes it to another level. And the way he just calmly and politely waited for her convo with Takahiko to end before showing up to confront her, man, that cliffhanger should be illegal.

Speaking of Takahiko, I can’t wait to see how he moves forward after Yuki absolutely obliterated him—verbally. She rebottled and shut down every claim he made about her, then told him straight to his face that she’s the one who pushed him to this point, all because of how ordinary he is. I seriously feel bad for the guy. All he wanted was to accomplish something before graduation and impress his girlfriend—and she just crushed him like that, for what? Her own amusement. I hope he manages to bounce back, maybe by venting to Yuuto and having Yuuto cheer him up or something.

I think Urino got what he deserves-ish. Was it too harsh? Not really, I think it's just enough to make him realise that he's not all that great. A very expensive lesson, yet the most valuable. I kinda sympathise with him for a bit, cause I was in the same head space as him during highschool. Fortunately, the way I got humbled was far less extreme than him, but still valuable and recovered quickly. Though, I don't think that'll be the case for Urino. You'll see what I mean in the next episode LMAO.

When reading the Novel, the scene was far more brutal. Especially when half of the arc, we were following the story through his perspective and we got to see his descent to main character syndrome as his head got bigger when all he is was just a deuteragonist. With this, when the season is finished and you're still looking for more, I suggest you guys give the Novel a read and some love. Trust me, it's a cool way to rewatch or re-experience the story, cause you'll get something new since some small parts were cut in the anime.

Confirming my hypothesis, then.
Urino was being played from all sides. (though the way my theory goes, he was actually giving ideas to the actual culprit, so moving them in a sense)

HOLY F*CKING SH*T OSANAI ABSOLUTELY BROKE URINO 😱 Poor guy wasn't the smartest, but he definitely didn't deserve that. What on earth did he do to make Osanai do this to him I wonder? Seems like this is the kind of long game revenge she would play on someone who really wronged her at some point. Cannot wait for hopefully everything to be revealed in the next episode!!

Also love how the first thing Kobato asks Osanai when they finally meet each other again is whether she grew taller 😂 These two are so far from normal but absolutely perfect for esch other 😅
