That Entertainment District looked like fun.

Sakura and his friends are still amazing, kicked some ass without breaking a sweat. Poor Nirei, he seemed like the most vulnerable in this episode. Sakura's reflexes were pretty imprssive imo. Ofc, this episode would have some rough fights again and that new girl is caught in the middle of it.

30 grown ass men vs 3 high schoolers. Who would win? 😂 Had forgot this was even an action series because we’d had so many wholesome episodes back to back. As usual, Cloverworks cooked today and I’m so proud of Nirei for coming into his own as a fighter. This felt like his coming out party.

Cool to see another part of town in Keisei street it looks so lively, almost like a Takeshita street in Harajuku. Too bad we couldn’t see more of it because of the dudes chasing Shizuka. Must be real tough guys to send all those dudes after one girl 🤦🏽‍♂️.

I loved Nirei and Suo’s training arc sm. Nirei’s come such a long way from the scared kid we saw in the KEEL arc. He might not have it all together yet, but he’s getting there and I’m so happy for him! It’s sweet how much of an impact Sakura has already had on the rest of the group and he doesn’t even know it.

It’s pretty dope Sakura and the boys may have just ended a longstanding beef between Furin and Roppo Ichiza now that they helped out Nakamura and his crew lol. Nakamura seems cool af and I feel like they could be older brother figures to a lot of the Bofurin gang!

Tsubaki pole dancing?!!! Hello???! Cloverworks really wanted to flex their muscles in this episode, nice mix of slice of life, wholesome and action. Exactly what makes wind breaker so good. I love this series and these boys sm. can’t wait for next ep.

You know what’s funny? Two high schoolers beat up all those grown-ups. We got some really good fight animation with Sakura cooking those guys.

Now it looks like the main arc of the season has picked up, as Sakura has met the other important characters of the arc. By the looks of it, this isn't Shizuka's first time getting into trouble, while Kanji seems like a good-hearted person but is quick to jump to conclusions.

It was funny when Sakura's hair twitched, sensing the romance between Shizuka and Kanji like antennae. Bro has some ability to sense love.

I knew that Nirei would start training, but we never saw it until now. The byproduct of his training is here; now all he needs is a little confidence and self-belief.

I'll admit that Tsubakino has some nice moves, but it seems Sakura isn't one for pole dancing.

Sakura makes it clear that you don't have to fight, or even look cool, to be friend with him. But when you're a friend of someone as great as him, you can't help but be inspired by him. Inspired to look cool, inspired to be able to fight.

And I kinda hope Sakura will be inspired by Tsubaki to be a pole dancer, but he doesn't seem to be inspired though (unlike Nirei).

The episode name "night district" makes me expect something like Sakura doing a stripping dance in a bar host club, so I'm disappointed that it's not heading into the direction that I want, but I'm not disappointed in the production quality, which is as good as usual.

I asked for more action, and I got it, but I'm still annoyed...

They had to fall back on "rescue a woman in distress" yet again. How many times has it been, since Season 1?

It's also the same pattern of demolishing like 30 goons, who were all chasing after the one woman (for what reason, and why that headcount? They never say).

This time it's a bunch of adults, Yakuza thugs, no less...

At least there's been a change in setting and new characters, so I'm interested in what they get up to.

I was genuinely surprised to hear Ueda Reina's voice in Wind Breaker. Never expected lmao

Just hope this character is an actually important character just so that I can see Ueshama in the WinBre events lol

Also, it's unbelievable that they waited so long to cast Okitsu Kazuyuki in an anime full of men

New arc and New group! The Furin trio going to meet up with Tsubaki where he works on this neon street. Of course things can't go smoothly so they run into some trouble. A girl being chased by some thugs literally falling from the sky onto Sakura. Her name being Shizuka. The boys did a great job fending off her pursuers. We got back into that textbook windbreaker action! I loved the big fight scene, especially since we haven't had one in a while. Sakura and Suo both showing why they're some of the strongest first years at Furin. Nirei showing improvement too since he's training with Suo. I figured that's what was being alluded to when he still has face patches on. He did great using that roly poly technique, even if it was just one guy that's better than being instantly incapacitated. Sakura and Suo both got some amazing shots of their hits. Everything in this episode looked incredible honestly even the talking scenes were vibrant and had movement. After the dust cleared things got sorted out. Shizuka being from a local bar where she sings. The guys who came looking for her turned out to be solid dudes. Kanji the chairman of this new team being introduced to the boys. Thankfully antimony has subsided between them and Furin. The end of the episode with Sakura's reaction to Tsubaki's performance on stage made me laugh. This should be a fun arc

Wait, wait. I need to get this straight. Tsubaki is pole dancing for adult men in the red light district, while the boys somehow end up at the local branch of Like a Dragon? What's going on? Judging by the number of bandits, I suspected that Ichiban and Kiryu's world wasn't very well educated, but to this extent...

@perseii It seems like the author is caught between two fires, both adding significant female characters and maintaining the all-male nature of the narrative.

It doesn't matter to me whether they add female characters or not, it's just ridiculous the show constantly relies on the "rescue a stranger from random goons" thing to kick off the story. There's been at least 3 occasions that I can remember, including Kotoha, and it was eyeroll-inducing the first time.

Two things:

1. We get her backstory, we do learn why they're chasing her and why there are so many.

2. Roppo Ichiza are just *barely* adults. They're mostly 18-20 y/o. Though if you mean the guys they beat up and not the Roppo Ichiza.. well. They'll explain why they were there (back to the 1st point)

A masterpiece of an episode. Hayato is aura-farming as usual, while Haruka ain't letting stupid stuff slide. But most importantly, loved Akihiko defending Shizuka by tripping that thug, that was the first time he actually stood up for someone physically. He’s always been helpful to the boys, like when he called the seniors back against Keel, but this felt different. This time, he didn’t just assist with a call or stand on the sidelines, he took action. Really proud of him.

Akihiko aside, this feels like the start of a new arc, though I’m a bit unclear on the direction. I’m 100% sure the thugs Bofurin beat in this episode are going to send their leaders after Bofurin for revenge, like trying to cover for their underlings, and i'm all here for it!

@Spoof_490 Nope. I went back and checked.

- Kotoha got rescued twice in Episode 1.
- Nirei stands up to some goons harassing a shop clerk, gets beat up for it before Sakura comes to the rescue.
- That chill pink-haired guy rescues a random girl getting harassed, and the whole crew has to fight off the goons later.

That's just the ones I found. That's not to mention the middle schoolers that Sakura rescued, which kicked off the entire Shishitoren arc.

Almost every event in the story started off with some girl getting rescued. I mean, come on... They couldn't come up with some different scenarios?

1. Did we? Who were they and why were there so many? I genuinely missed it and couldn't find it when I skimmed the episode again.

2. I was talking about the thugs that Sakura and friends beat up. They looked pretty old. I just find it weird that these teenagers can beat up grown-up yakuza with about the same level of effort as beating up other teenagers and harassers, but I do enjoy a beatdown so I'm not too hung up on that.

@perseii My point is that even though it's shonen and all, these kinds of works often suffer from the fact that the audience only wants a one gender cast. I still remember the author of Hitoribocchi literally reassuring people on Twitter that her male classmates wouldn't have much of a focus.
