Kaya's parents influenced her and encouraged negative behavior toward Miyo. If even your parents are enacting these horrible things, she wouldn't really know any better. She has learned arrogance. If you're told all your life you are perfect, and have never been exposed to something that tells you otherwise, I think you'd get this outcome lol |

| Kaya is just a product of her upbringing. She was taught her entire life Miyo was inferior, that Miyo was less than her, that she was the greatest, blah blah. I think there's potential for her to redeem herself and become a better person. She lost her home and probably Koji as a fiancé, so, she'll be at rock bottom, with nothing. Very humbling. |

| As person above said, Kaya was privileged and spoiled her entire life, so she has never faced any plight nor knows how it is. Due to her having supernatural ability, everyone was only praising her and as such she firmly belives she is the main character of this world and everything must come to a screeching halt if something upsets her. Her abuse towards Miyo comes from her deep insecurities and envy and as such seeing someone who she considers below her being slightly happy is a big nono for her and she considers this an insult. If you hate her, then I guess writers did a good job, because that's her role. If you take a closer look, she is a polar opposite of Miyo. Kaya is completely self centered and cares about nothing but herself, while Miyo has nonexistent self esteem, was firmly conditioned into beliving she deserves abuse she receives and thus she is incapable of feeling anger. But the best part is that people like Kaya exist even in real life and are getting more and more because of social media. |

Though I actually hate her less realizing how it's not some inherent quality she has it's because her mother raised her to think she's superior to Miyo and both her parents placed pressure on her to succeed in her psychic abilities and pampered her because she's the only sibling with such abilities to their knowledge so she not only thinks she's above Miyo but resents Miyo for not having an ability and this pressure placed on Kaya made Miyo her target of venting on. So she has potential to become redeemable as terrible as she is. |
| I can't find myself to be anything but indifferent to these antagonists, they just don't have enough characterization. Mostly just evil for the sake of conflict, Kaya does have some "reason" due to her upbringing but it's pretty one-dimensional. |
| Same. It’s rare that I have legitimately zero sympathy for a character (and whatever consequences inevitably await them towards the ending), but Kaya is definitely one of these cases. I hope everyone who wronged Miyo in her past ends up losing their status and becoming outcasts of society, lol. |
