Generally, the rule we follow as a community is the "3 episode rule" where we give something at least 3 episodes to make it's case. However, sometimes something is so offensive and clearly not our taste that it really just MUST be dropped earlier. This could be a seasonal you didn't know you were getting into, or a show that just looked awful, or really anything

For me personally, it wasn't so much offensive as it was just something I really went into blind and wasn't interested in. I generally have a rule that I don't watch shows about middle school environments, as I feel they aren't very accurate to how middle schoolers actually behave. So when Love Lab (which I was watching because of a meme) had a text box saying they were enrolled in a middle school in the first minute in I was like "ah helll nahhh". I then checked out the synopsis and it just didn't seem like anything I would enjoy at all.

Anyways, what's your fastest drop? And also, how come?? Cause there has to be a reason. (and please, nobody saying "you should never drop" in the comments, cause if you do, go watch Ex-Arm)

probably a tie between Aria the Crepuscolo and Kingdom season 1.

Both I dropped for basically the same reason. Terrible art style. All it took was a brief glance and I was like: NOPE. Although Aria was way more offensive to me on a personal level because such a drastic change was inexcusable.

It was Haganai S2. I watched the first episode for about 14 minutes before saying "I shouldn't waste my time on this anime" and turned off the anime.

for a second I was worried you were talking about Aria as a whole, as I was actually quite looking forward to it. But I guess the one you're talking about is a movie that just came out, I had no idea they were still making Aria content

konosuba. all of the characters are so fucking obnoxious i could barely stand them for an episode and aqua brought me to my limit in the first few minutes

You made the right choice, that show was awful. In one episode, a dude legitimately threatens to rape the main girl (and he 100% means it), and in the next, he's forgiven. Huh? Why? cause they want him to be a character ig

Dropped it like it was hot!

I did the research, it was based on a kind of card game in Japan.
I've seen Shingeki no Bahamut, read Pokemon and watched on/off episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh!

It can't be that bad right?

I tolerated 5 episodes.
I tried to endure this.

My mental fortitude couldn't handle this anime and it's a long series with 170+ episodes, sequels, movies.
4K this muther4king anime!

At episode 5, I instinctively stopped at the transformation sequence that I was tired of and that was it.

I'm sure it'd be great for brainwashing/torturing people, that's how bad this anime is to me.

I dropped mushoku tensei without even watching an episode because the mc likes kids. Plunderer too, the mc is just obnoxious, almost died of cringe.

Yeah I loved Aria, gave all three seasons a 10. Thats why the sudden change in art style felt so insulting after the standard had already been set for so many years.

Assasination classroom. I "dropped" it during the opening when everyone was jumping during the chorus. I was like "yeah, its probably not that bad, but Im not watching the rest of this".

I by fast drop you mean watching at least the first episode, I would probably go with Berserk 2016. Watched like 3 minutes of it. started the manga 1 year later.

I think, although Mushoku Tensei is a masterpiece, it definitely doesn't handle some subjects the best. Some people can't get past Rudeus's disgusting tendencies, and that's totally fine. I would say that they are meant to be disgusting to the audience, it's meant to be a character flaw that he eventually gets over. Still, it's reasonable to drop on that basis

Mitsuboshi Colors, I don't remember why, but I dropped it at the first 10 minutes, maybe I'll try to watch it later. Or Idolls, I just watched the first episode and it was awful.

“Are you lost?” I left after the peeing scene in the first episode lol, another one would be “The Island of Giant Insects” a movie that I dropped after realizing that it was pretty much hentai :P. Now I usually look into what the show I’m about to watch is, instead of going in blind, whether it’s a synopsis, trailer, or mainly just look at the categories.

That's really unfortunate, as I was looking forward to Tatami Galaxy, but I often struggle with quite dialogue shows when they don't have a dub (which Tatami does not)

For me it's Nichijou, I simply wasn't able to laugh even once in the first 5 EPs. Also Rainbow, somewhere around ep9/10 I don't at all understand why there's a need for MC to be 'such a good' person only to cause /get the suffer later.

If you managed to watch S1 then S2 is a lot lot better than S1(at least I felt so), you might want to give it a try.

i watched 7 ep and read 200+ chapters but it's absolutely wastage of time.
Ratings doesn't matter only enjoyment does.
Masterpiece or mid, generic or fresh,best or worst are all subjective
Eren is goat,and aot is still a masterpiece (eg.subjective opinion)
