| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, their case got complicated with truths and lies. I guess books really can't be judged by their covers in this type of show, especially for characters like Yui. This episode should also remind Kimihiko himself that he is also in danger in any sort of case like this. Nice to also see Siesta returning and Charlotte making her appearance. |

| Do you have the ability to be a detective? So basically the desire to work as a detective is Natsunagi's heart's desire. Ma, It's just a matter of Natsunagi's acting skills, Kimihiko basically already knows Saikawa's lies. It's Saikawa Yuinyan perform, the moment Kimihiko was waiting for was when Saikawa sang Saphire Phantashm. Even so, this was beyond Kimihiko's plan. The order of the songs has changed, Natsunagi misunderstood because actually Kimihiko wasn't looking forward to "81" Ma, Kimihiko hurry up because this is out of plan. Actually the cheers from this idol show were so loud that Kimihiko couldn't concentrate. Those are archers, actually why don't they use snipers. Kimihiko wanted to know what was behind the blindfold, it was actually a 3 billion sapphire, it was blue in color. That arrow almost hit Saikawa's left eye.  It was a sapphire colored artificial eye that was bluer than any sea. Just having these eyes made Saikawa feel confident... Feeling sad to hear Saiakwa's story. Ah, kore ga ikirutte kotonan datte… this is called "life". Saikawa only wanted her parents who were in heaven to take care of her. The problem isn't over yet, Fuubi-san called Kimihiko because there was a time bomb, Fuubi-san had already deployed a bomb disposal team. Saikawa knew the villain's plan from the start... Saikawa led them to the treasure place, and Saikawa had planned this, I don't understand this dialogue. What is clear is that Saikawa has an artificial left eye and it can see objects. Saikawa smiled and they aimed the gun. And also welcome back Siesta and Charlotte. |
| Looks like they have other motives for that Sapphire thingy they were going after all this time. And, that thing was Saikawa's left eye that looks like a Saphhire which was gifted to her by her parents and she wants to keep it safe with her as their last memory. But, great job by Kimizuka finding out about all this. And, that time bomb in the safe to take out Natsunagi and Kimihiko. But, there were other things as well that she was hiding from Kimizuka about her eye being able to see through everything, and Kimizuka as a detective saw through all of her lies. And, now they are going to become friends. Well, Kimihiko really put himself in danger for all that and I guess it's worth it. We also saw Siesta at the end with her disciple and Kimihiko. I miss Siesta. |

| That was more surprising than I first thought with the sapphire being directly her eye and having that X-ray ability, at least the situation is resolved for them thanks to the power of friendship (xD) seems like a previous friend of Siesta is gonna show up now... |

| Now that was surprising. I did think Yui's left eye was a fake one, but I didn't think she could actually see with it. Her case is solved-ish but not concluded yet. I hope we'll get to see how it ends. This series looks more interesting now. I think I'll watch till the end. Let's go episode 5!!!! |

| Bruh, I don't believe that there is just one area where there are no people and nobody notices a guy with a weapon I was happy because I thought after this I would never see her again, but now it turns out she has a power wtf Siesta's daughter appears, I don't know if I will like her, but I hope she will add something interesting to this |

| So Yui's secret was her left eye, huh. This has nothing to do with the case but, she looks cuter without the eyepatch. About the case, it was a lot better than I thought it would be from the end of the last episode. From the "Sapphire" having 2 meanings to Yui having been threatened by SPES, it was interesting to watch. It also explains how she knew Kimizuka was related to the "Legendary Detective". And now Yui is pretty much a Sidekick's Sideckick? Looking forward to seeing how this previously very annoying character will fare as a detective. The villain guy from episode 1 also helped in this case. As the saying goes, yesterday's enemy is today's friend, and this applies to both of them. A new character appears and of course, she's also connected to Siesta and SPES. I wonder what the next case is going to be. Kimizuka still being targeted by SPES is something I never thought of, but it totally makes sense. It's surprising how he managed to live as a normal high school kid for a year without being found but all's well that ends well. |

| Kimihiko knows that Yui is lying about her true motives, and together with Nagisa, it's off to Yui's idol concert to find the culprit targeting her. And I don't really care that all for Yui's concert, as brandish as it can be. Welp, getting the wrong intel about the change in the song setlist is a setback for Kimihiko, which means that both him and Nagisa has to break pace with lost time to find the assailant. Making for the fact that the true sapphire exists in the chuunibyou eye, it was a close call for Kimihiko to save Yui from getting her left sapphire eye arrow-shot. The true story of the sapphire eye: a false eye that's meant to cover for the fact that Yui is impaled on her left eye. A recluse of a girl whom is left with a fortune, and this whole incident is just to cover for the fact that Yui herself is a target to begin with, and playing both Kimihiko and Nagisa into her case. Kimihiko's deep interrogation as the detective sidekick into her lie, and it's solved with Inspector Fuubi's plan to break it all down to lure both the new detective and assistant into sacrificing their lives, killing 3 birds in 1 stone for SPES. All that just to play the criminal act for an idol who's lost her close contacts, and using that as a stepping stone to fight her own darkness. Charlotte enters the scene, and is Siesta's daughter? She sure knows how to play the sibling card against Kimihiko for jealousy. It's time for these two to take the cake next week and meeting after Siesta's death. Maybe it's myself whom has to question all the logic that this show can gloss all over, but I guess this isn't bad either if there's one or more people to save. |

| Saikawa was blackmailed, kill the two or we'll take your left eye that their do means a lot for her. That Song was nice. After the credit scene we see that a new blonde girl is coming looks interesting. Good that Kimizuko saved saikawa from that arrow shot. |

| Alright, the syndicate is growing and more and more stories creep out into the light. It's good that Saikawa accepted a friend request and kinda threw off her shell. Kimizuka and Natsunagi are good negotiators and are already a force together. I enjoyed the scene between Siesta and her progenies, it goes well with the episode's spirits. |

| Kimihiko for the save almost hit Yui at the last second I was convinced it could've gone way worse, That taxi driver looks familiar Well I'll be a cute idol can be this scary at sometimes you shouldn't mess with her looking at her appearance only or you'll get an extra hole in your head Kimihiko may have outsmarted Yui's outsmarting and almost got the two killed that's what I like to see, And a new girl should be making an appearance good to see Siesta having more screentime than before missed her already. |

| Well, Natsunagi really honed his ability as a detective. Not only was he able to prevent the plan of Spes to take Saikawa's left eye and, he was also able to prevent Saikawa's plan to blow them up. On the other hand, Kimihiko still needs a lot more work to be able to keep up with Natsunagi. Hey, Siesta made an appearance along with Charlotte. That was quite nice. |

| An other title for the anime is The hype is already dead YU-RI-NYA HAY HAY HAY HAY Well, case solved. She was deceived but thanks to our two masterminds everything went as they planned. Kinda interesting. The music was pretty good. After credit scenes we get some screentime about Char, a yellow haired big double plot green haired girl, with a nice outfit. The last 2 minutes from the anime were more interesting than the whole episode imo but can't complain. |

There isn't anything really memorable or compelling so far in the story, and I'm trying to be more picky on what I keep this season for time management reasons. its shows like this that make me regret my no drop rule, i think this is par for the course with these type of detective shows though, generally they are very hard to make interesting and believable. hopefully they can make some interesting characters or arcs soon or at least some more sakuga as i feel baited with the initial animation |

It's much worse than that and if this episode doesn't convince you I don't think anything will haha perseus_II said: The first episode got me hooked. But with each passing episode something is rubbing me in a wrong way but I can't put a finger on it. Something is not right here...am I the only one feeling like that? Maybe because the dialogue is dull, the main guy has no personality and there's no character dynamics ever since they deleted Siesta Gotta admit the scene where they pointed their guns at each other was extremely funny though. Not that it was meant to be but still. |

| Oh, so her left eye is not Siesta's. Goodbye to the most unique harem ever then xD. The mystery turned out to be more complicated than I expected. It was kind of funny to see her pull out her gun out of nowhere haha. Come on Natsunagi, don't make us wait any longer for the beach episode. New character. Dumb blonde with big tits.... I liked her outfit. Can we see more of her in that outfit please? Also, it seems that Siesta died on that mission despite the confidence she had. Sooner or later we will see how it happened and I don't know if I am ready. |

I don’t want to watch these garbage characters, plotlines, and “mysteries” anymore. “Of course I knew that you had a sapphire false eye that could see through objects and were threatened to kill us by blowing up your collections room and they would still try to kill you at the end of your sapphire song”. Awful writing. |

The target audience is decidedly teens and young adults... There's nothing to understand; everything is explained with in-universe logic.It's just never satisfying or well written so people are put off by it. |
