| She's tan. I've only read the manga, so I don't know anything about the anime. However, I can say for certain that she's really tan most likely from swimming. There's a panel in the manga where she's in the bath. It's shown that she has a swimmer tan with parts of her skin being the standard shade. It's completely reasonable. A couple of my swimmer friends (they're East Asian) always get extremely tan during the summer as they switch from indoor pools to outdoor pools. Judging from the poster for the show, I can say that yeah, it's pretty accurate description of a tan Asian girl. The most unrealistic thing is the fact that her hair is still completely black since the chlorine and the sun should have slightly bleached some parts of her hair. Tho, It might be a thing for dudes since I only see chlorine bleached hair from them. |

Also, decorations such as glitter or flowers, such as hibiscus flower stickers added under the eyes. This style was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Probably. She just doesn't bleach her hair. She could also possibly be a manba which is in the same article.
