What's the biggest name in anime for casuals?
| Ok so I was asking around yesterday to see what my "friend" who don't watch anime believe is the one anime that everyone knows about and they mentioned the ones I said in my poll. But maybe it's different depending on where you live. So which anime do you think first pops into someones head when they hear the word? And why? Like which anime is the universal face of anime. I didnt add SAO or AOT because they are too recent to be the face of anime. Remember I'm thinking about which one NON anime viewers think of, this isn't a "which anime is the best" thing, there is no right answer. |

| in the 90s it was probably DBZ and Sailor Moon. A few years ago it was FMA and Death Note and Naruto. Now it's just Naruto. | I'd go with Pokemon. Different age groups would be exposed to different things (like Toonami or Adult Swim), but Pokemon was a huge phenomenon. That said, old people probably still don't know what anime is at all, period. |

| naruto is about as pleb as it gets. Bleach fanbase is slightly better, and usually DB(Z) fans are people who knew toonami and have relatively better taste. I've never met a retarded DBZ fan. |

| Attack on Titan here. Lots of people have seen it. I don't think Dragon Ball was as big here as in the USA, and Pokemon doesn't register in people's heads as an 'anime'... plus the longer and older stuff has sort-of been pushed under, over time. |
