| Oh Sophia...it feels like this anime's story is built to make her life miserable, at least from this episode. But hey, at least she's got a solid class with power and strength. Plus, that's a chance encounter with a knight. Maybe this has potential? I know this anime isn't a parody but some of the comedy felt like it, especially the gorilla part. |

| Novelist Shirohi's series being animated by a brand-new studio (Kachigarasu), it's in fact Encourage Films with the recent company rebranding, as you can tell from the average production. The fantasy world of the prestigious school that is Dierentown, where a ceremony blesses 16-year-olds from various animal gods, and here there's Sophia Reeler receiving the exact same blessing...being chosen from the Gorilla God. Sophia being the kind of student who cares less for all of the political bootlicking from connections to marriage, she has to suffer for 2 more years before graduation. But as as expected, having the gorilla god's blessing granting her immense combat skills, and checking against the Headmaster, who sees it as an extremely rare card that only comes once every 50 years. This then, gives her the account to be scouted by the Royal Knights, which only makes Sophia's prospects a lot worse from the peaceful life she's looking forward to. At least taking the junior knight exam is a requirement, though trying to fail that exam...is an option too. The day of the exams...and helping a merchant with his cart problems is no problem at all. That is until an unassuming young handsome man comes to her aid looking for the training grounds, and rizzes her with his handsome fervor...though he'd see her later? True enough, Sophia's the ONLY girl, and the ladies' man is actually Louis Scarrel, the administrator for the exams, and the youngest of the Knights. The first test of sprinting, more than guys like Isaac Sheehan bucking the trend by hitting the sub-10 second timing, Sophia instead, overshoots her power to the point of hitting the wall lols, but also feeling light like a gorilla's running speed. Well then, the second test of rappelling to ascend a tower and descend using a rope, the tall height puts people off, but not guys like Eddie Pheles making it to the ground with ease. Isaac, however, has a fear of heights, and that prompts Sophia to assist him on the way down, which they both almost lost control...and then with the rope support snapping since holding the weight of two people, the goriila god's instincts kicking in to save both of them to the ground. Louis helping Sophia nurse her injuries, though the look in his eyes...suggest otherwise. She's going to have competition for the guys now... Both Shugo Nakamura's OP and Megumi Ogata's ED are rather decent. At least this is much better than the other gorilla-esque anime that is Shinka no Mi a.k.a Fruit of Evolution. |

| Only in anime can you ask for a peaceful life and end up being adopted by a gorilla god 😂 Sophia just arrived and she’s already being spoiled by the entire royal knights! And that thumbs-up from the gorilla? Comedy gold. I'm super curious to see what animals the others will get — if someone ends up with a sacred platypus, I’m done for lol |
| Sophia wanted to get a card that wouldn’t make her stand out, but fate clearly had other plans. She tried so hard not to stand out during the exam—and still managed to fail at failing, lol. Louis is right that Isaac’s taken a liking to Sophia, but let’s be real—Sophia’s definitely taken a liking to *you* too, Louis. |

| Never get tired of these shows with cute OP MCs who want to live a normal life and get thrown into some position of responsibility lol. Sophia didn’t choose to receive the gorilla god’s blessing, but here we are. 😂 Pretty standard first episode. For some reason, Sophia has haters at school, most likely jealousy from the fact she’s prettier than all those losers, but seeing her absolutely demolish the competition in the knight exam was hilarious. Especially lost it when she destroyed the damn wall during the 100 meter dash lmaoo My girl already pulling all the hotties. She got the captain Louis, the blonde dude and I reckon black haired kirito wannabe is gonna be in the harem too. Episode went by pretty fast, as usual this’ll come down to how interesting they can keep things with her OP abilities and how the main ship develops! I’m excited I love OP female leads. |

| A very good prologue for a fantasy romance. Apparently, Louis is the main love interest for our heroine, Sophia, based on how they're both considered main characters within the cast on the anime's page, while the rest are considered as supporting characters. Therefore, loved the cliffhanger, when he ain't just treating her hand anymore since she said she's good, but bro's so bold he didn't let go no, he held her hand with both his hands, instead of just the hand he was treating her with. I mean, i could tell that she fell in love at first sight due to how much she complimented everything about her in her inner thoughts, while also feeling shy instead of irritated while he wiped off dirt via tissue on her face, and when he held her hand with both his hands at the cliffhanger. Are the feelings, apparently, mutual? Dunno yet, nevertheless, excited for the upcoming episodes and how relationship will grow! |

| For some reason I was thinking she actually turned into a gorilla, but it seems she just uses gorilla powers. Either way, it was ok. I enjoyed the comedy bits much more than the romantic ones. I will keep watching for now. It seems to be setting up a reverse harem situation, so not sure how long I will actually be sticking with it. Art and animation were all very average at best. I did enjoy the gorilla-related antics. |

| Considering how much Louis is in the OP....I guess the ship's already been prepped, it's just a matter of when it's gonna set sail ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) Putting that aside.... I guess they weren't kidding when the description said she's super timid. If not for the fact we see the animated gorilla spirit "flexing" when the blessing activates so-to-speak...I'd find Sophia annoying right now. Edit: Making a random prediction that Louis is blessed by the peacock or whatever other animal has a beauty-related blessing (considering that Sophia keeps commenting about his beauty). I'm gonna laugh so hard if this turns out true. |

| Fruit of Evolution PTSD, looking like there's no transformation this time though lol. Still, first episode was garbage and the crappy shoujo gaze was evident, probably the ugliest flower border background I've ever seen, played straight as a fiddle. Unappealing art as well. Dropped. |
| Another collection to the cyclopes goriila team (Maki from Fire force still #1 tho) Wasn't sure what to make of this one but after actually watching it, I think it will be pretty entertaining. It's giving me reverse harem vibes but if we end up going that route I wouldn't be against it. |

| By the words of his excellence, the Gorilla God, you must give this anime a 10/10! Joking aside, I think this might be a hidden gem, though I don't think I'll enjoy the romantic aspects of it compared to the comedy. |

| Loved this first episode! I love the idea, I love the MC, how that gorilla God shows up to bless us with their thumbs up... But why does this have to be romance? :/ Not sure if I'll enjoy this all the way through, but I'll stick around for now |

| @Paul Dude that's what I'm hoping for too, but I know it won't :( It's set up to be a reverse harem, and it sucks. I really love this MC too! This is such a silly first episode, and the idea is great too, but I know it's just going to turn into a reverse harem once this trial is over :/ @LaczPro19 I love that scene lol |

| I'm banking on this to continue watching, because I have a feeling the reverse harem element will be the same as most of these shows (i.e, drawn out into absurdity, annoying, G-rated and predictable). I agree it was a fun episode though. |
