| Only Gallery Fake could feature an enthrallingly tense art restoration sequence. Three episodes in and I feel like I've found a hidden gem. I just don't know if it will have three cours' worth of content. |

| Just started watching this, really liking it but, has anyone noticed how the soundtrack just seems to lift things wholesale from other scores ? Like, in the first episode (and in this one too actually) one of the track is basically a riff on Isaac Hayes' Shaft soundtrack (same exact flute riff, a couple of notes away really) and this one just randomly has Bernard Herrmann's Vertigo theme played on piano. Is this supposed to be a riff on one of the key elements of the series (fake paintings and fakes in general) or is it simply a huge coincidence ? Anyways, enjoying this a lot so far, I like the relaxed pacing and the characters are interesting. Definitely not something I'll binge-watch though. |
| I found this episode interesting. So far, I am liking the soundtrack of the series, and the fact that the anime is to me very different from all the anime currently airing now. Will watch more episodes and see how it goes. |

| Well, an intense ep. It shows painting restoration and Fujita did well. I think giving ransom to the thieves aren't bad for Moretti, at least the paintings were safe. |

For those curious about this message... It says "When watching TV, make sure the room is well-lit and to sit at a safe distance from the screen.". Why it wasn't on the prior episodes (Or at least, in a way I didn't notice) is a bit strange, but it's especially warranted here, because this episode is much brighter than the previous episodes with some notable shifts in brightness from scene to scene. God, this anime is getting REALLY good. How is an anime about fucking PAINTINGS this good?! |
