I only ask because for me, even though I dislike every minute of it, I will power through until the end. It might be an OCD thing but I hate leaving things unfinished and that overrides my dislike for the show. Thankfully there haven't been many shows for me that I really didn't like, but I recently watched Blade & Soul and by the 4th episode in was nearly falling asleep. Fortunately it was only 13 episodes. I was wondering if anyone else does this as well? Sorry if this has been asked before. |

I used to watch series out of "obligation", but thankfully I learned my lesson. I just thought "well I've come this far so might as well keep going till the end" Then one day I was watching Fairy Tail and just thought to myself "why the hell i'm still watching this crap?" Then I dropped Naruto, Bleach and Fairy Tail |

If it's ongoing (like Bleach was, Naruto and Fairy Tail) and I lose interest then yeah I stopped watching. But if there is a set number of episodes, then I think I'd torture myself to finish it :S |

Yes, I'm a completionist. Because I'm curious about how it goes, don't want to let it beat me, etc. Occasionally though I will put one in my on hold to watch later when I'm in the mood. |

If it gets boring or I don't like the direction it's heading in I'll drop it. I'll finish shows that are bad as long as they're entertaining (Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is a prime example) |

I've only ever dropped Bleach, but that's an outlier. I almost always finish the anime I start, though some anime I've watched have taken me up to a month to finally bother to finish, most notably the second season of Strike Witches. I loved the first season, but the second season straight up sucked. However, I felt obligated to finish it, especially at only 12 episodes, so I managed to power through it. But it to me a month to get from start to finish. I hope I never have to pull that kind of crap again, though I know I will. I like to finish what I start. |

Over a 8th of my list is dropped stuff and that's not including shows I've dropped in the first 1~2 episodes and a lot of randoms I just delete off it to try to reduce it. Though on some occasions, I still watch some and can't tell why I'm still bothering with it. Good example is Kuusen Madoushi of the current season. I don't even know why I haven't dropped it. I guess it might be because I watch the entire thing in a span of 3~5 minutes by skimming through everything. However, lots of times, it's not me not liking the series, I kinda just forget about them and when I remember, I don't have any interest to continue. |

Why not just stop watching, start something you do like, and forget about it? If someone asks why you didnt like it just give them the reason you dropped it, and then if they hound you tell them to fuck off and learn what an opinion is. I like to complete Anime for the sake of completing them, like when the volume on the TV is 19 and you turn it up to 20. Humans just like to complete things. That being said, I will drop an Anime if I cannot continue watching it. It's silly forcing yourself to watch something you don't want to watch after all. However, that doesn't mean I drop everything like crazy either. I've seen people on the opposite sides of the spectrum taking it to the extreme and I think they're crazy. Never drop and you're a masochist. Drop say 1 Anime for every 5 maybe Anime just isn't for you (or you don't know how to pick em). |

Yes I do and I do it for kind of a lame reason. I do it because I think every anime deserves to be finished. While that sounds retarded I do it because of shows like "Squid Girl", going into that anime I thought I was going to hate it and only watched it to make fun of it but as I started watching I began to actually like it even it turning into one of my favorite dumb comedy anime. I call it the "Squid Girl Effect" thinking an anime is going to suck balls but then you end up liking it. On a side note I also experienced this with "B gata H K". |

I try to. I went back and undropped Bleach and I'm struggling through it because this Soul Society arc is dragging on and I still have 300+ episodes to go. It's not a horrible anime by no means but just drags out. Now that I think about it, One Piece also drags out and One Piece is my second favorite anime so i have no idea why I think it's ok for One Piece to drag out forever (and still dragging out) but am having a problem with Bleach (which has already ended) dragging out. |

Perhaps because you love One Piece so much that you don't mind it, whereas you don't enjoy Bleach as much. I agree though, filler episodes tend to drag on for way too long, and the story isn't usually as good. I normally drop the show during filler arcs and pick it back up when they've started the main story again. |
