Just started to read Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment" for the 5th time. It's my all time favourite book and will be #1 'till my end. Love the way he shows how guiltiness can change ppl and throw them slowly into insanity. A masterpiece.

I liked the book until the ending when he went all Christian on us >_>

Just finished Myst: the book of Atrus. I was surprised at how good a read it was. The ability to Write worlds is ever so fascinating. But it had me cringing through the middle as Atrus's father is depicted as a hubris man.

Still reading Under Heaven by Guy Gavriel Kay. I love how he had mix real events of the Tang dynasty into a single story that involves a fictional cast of characters. The word Kitai is way overused though. I was reading Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series and there was a Kitai in there. And also the name Tai, too. Srsly, there's a bunch of Chinese names out there.

Just finished the first three books in Mercedes Lackey's Elemental Masters series - The Serpent's Shadow, the Gates of Sleep and Phoenix and Ashes. I usually enjoy books based on/inspired by fairy tails, and these were no exception. I'll be ordering more of this series later this month.

Ah, just finished Under Heaven by Guy Gavriel Kay. So good. I need more alternate history and fantasy combinations, but I dunno where to start. And especially the Tang Dynasty, its history so vivid to me when I've just touched upon it in my East Asian Studies course last year. I found myself surprised at how consistent the things I've learn, and how the books details matched. Also guessing which alternate countries' names in the book reflect the actual state of affairs back then. I was overjoyed, I laughed while I was reading, not because if was funny, but because of the fact that I knew I was enjoying this, so much so, that I can't help but content myself by laughing aloud.

I guess I'll complete my collection by reading all of his books, when I've read at least, I think, more than 7 already. Too bad school's starting again, though.

GUH.... What I read now is An Inquiry into Meaning and Truth from Bertrand Russell....
And my brain is really fried right now because of the upcomming exam for Theory of Knowledge.
I think its gonna blow any minute now. After that I was thinking in to finally reading the 12th chapter of Wheel of Time from Robert Jordan if I have the time that is....

I'm finally actually diving into this giant sack of a book The Brothers Karamazov. I've started it and dropped it about three times now, but I've read a good hundred pages in the last couple days, so I feel committed. Books this long are intimidating, but it's fucking Dostoevsky. How can I refuse?

After I'm done with this one I'm gonna read Fitzgerald's Tender Is the Night and then James Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man.

Finished a while ago "The God of Small Things". I didn't really like it, it had some really bad mistakes and bad connections. For a book that lives of the connections, it was not really well tought. Because Sophie Mol dies in two different ways.

Am now reading "Prague Guide Book", it's really fun and informative.

I just finished reading Relic by Douglas J. Preston and Lincoln Child, yesterday. When it comes to books I am not really a fan of thrillers but this was a great read, I just could not put the book down. This book seems to be part of a series, I think there are another 9 books and I definitely want to read them, already got the 2nd book.

I read a bit of it some time ago, then I decided I better wait a decade or probably more, that way I can read the whole 7 books and not just the 4 that were released in 9 years.

I finally got my hands on the Elegant Universe. Pretty understandable so far, I'm interested to see how changing the perspectives of everything into strings could connect relativity and quantum mechanics together. :O

Also got my hands on the Fionavar (definitely spelled this word wrong) Tapestry trilogy by Guy Gavriel Kay. Pretty decent, one of his earliest, so characters seem a bit bland. But hopefully it gets better.
