Excellent. Just as planned?

I cannot tell if that's her right breast or the shoulder design of the uniform...

Clearly the latter. Yui's not THAT well-endowed.

Well-endowed? It looks like a tumor...

Notice the word 'NOT'. As in, what you see is her shoulder, not her breast.

if you read your genre's correctly NOT EVERY FUCKING ANIME NEEDS A GODDAMN PLOT DEVICE.

that being said its a slice of life high school comedy... why so much hate on the slice of life high school comedy. It's not like its the first one to do this kind of thing.

Eh im done feeding trolls my 1 episode review didn't cause enough hate to care.

The great thing about anime is that we get EVERY genre out there from drama, comedy, romance, sci-fi, slice of life, shounen, shoujo, seinen, yuri, yaoi, EVERYTHING.

yes, everything

too bad we get mostly shit like K-ON

you don't seem to understand that K-ON isn't part of any single genre you mentioned, it has no comedy, no slice of life, no drama, no music, they even skip the concert, that says a lot (anyway it was the same fucking song again and again, it's not like we missed something)

K-ON created a new genre for pathetic smelly otakus, it consist of putting some "cute" things all around the screen acting retarded, for exemple "omg azunyan you are so kawaii". Sure there isn't a plot, that shouldn't be a problem... if only there was a characterisation. K-ON doesn't even do such a thing. K-ON is just meaningless moe for the sake of moe, and nothing else. It's shit.

Bashing something doesn't mean trolling. That's called having a different opinion. Just because he finds the show to be utter moe trash and displaying it in a thread that overall discusses thoughts on the show doesn't make it trolling. Saying moe moe kyun to every thread that is about K-ON though is garbage spam. At least he's adding some needed subjectivity. Not everyone is going to agree with your love of the show, and for that, they can add it there. Seeing as he didn't just say this show sucks and call you stupid for liking it, doesn't count for trolling.

Again, there was substance in that post so thus it is not trolling but dissent.

I never said every fucking anime needs a plot device. Also, have you even looked at my list or are you talking out your ass saying I hate on slice-of-life high school comedy? I loved Hidamari Sketch, Azumanga Daioh, and Manabi Straight IMO is one of the best anime ever made. No, you're interpreting my dislike for K-ON! as dislike for an entire genre, when you really couldn't be farther from the truth.

I'm also not a troll. If anything, I'm overly frustrated because I cannot decide whether I think K-ON! is good or bad.

WIN!! K-ON!!

The opening sequence with Yui was awesome, she's gotten better in the "off-season"

I missed this show, and the gang.

I wish they would have showed the performance, already starting that crap on the first episode.

I knew they wouldn't get any new members, but is that a new member in the ED or is that Mio?

I was kind of hoping they would get three new members, and Azu-nyan would from another band with them for next year.

I love this show, can't wait for more...Urahara Out!!

Actually there was a troll release labeled [CoalGuys] K-ON!! - 01 , I can't be sure if they actually did it, I think they did though. I actually just finished watching it and it was funny right up until they started spitting racist ass shit. They dropped the N-bomb like it was funny continually. Overall it was much funnier than Fuwa Subs troll version but the blatant racism was retarded and unnecessary. What's funny is I've now seem four different versions of this episode and it's starting to grow on me like a hair on mole.

As I've blogged before, I keep waiting for this series to start to incorporate some of the Genius that of the movie Linda Linda Linda which it seemed so obviously based on, to materialize but never did in the last season. If, and this is a big if, it can somehow incorporate or encapsulate the themes of Naive innocence and youthful friendship then this series still might have a chance. 27 episodes does seem to give some hope of some actual plot development. But in reality if they wanted to go for Linda Linda Linda, it would have been better to have done it with the first season, with only 13 episodes, short and sweet. So in that respect it doesn't look good. I predict lots of mindless "moe" fan-faction from hear on out. I'm not saying I hate "moe", I'm just saying that there is a point that just goes to far for me. I love how I keep reading about all the fanboys who swoon over stuff like this, but lest us not forget how many women eat these shows up and buy all the merchandising which has helped make this series one of the most popular in Japan right now and has made it possible for yet another season double the episodes. There are so many shows this season that seem more worth my time, I hope I will have the strength to get off the candy before all my teeth fall out and I develop diabetes.

Haruhi already tributed Linda Linda Linda, I seriously doubt KyoAni will pull the same trick for K-On!!, especially since it's based on a manga and not a light novel like Haruhi; less room for creativity.

I just rewatched the first episode and I found it much funnier, guess I had too high hopes. I recommend people watch it with good audio equipment, non-shitty headphones preferably, if you don't have a massive stereo system. The sound in this show is awesome.

Haruhi did a great job with it episode 12 tribute indeed, but it doesn't change the fact that the first season of K-ON! had the exact same premise but was never able to truly capitalize off the themes in LLL. To me if felt like KyoAn liked episode 12 of haruhi so much they decided to base a new series on it but then just got cold feet and decided to leave out any genuine emotion and plot development like in "Beck" for instance.

I might have to mute the opening for every episode :/

The episode feels like a good start for the season and the ending theme fit nicely. I wish they showed the orientation concert, but I forgot, this is K-On. It's never about music, it's about them hanging out and doing absolutely nothing in every episode. Sometimes I wish it were the opposite :P

Haha, I loved it.
The show easily melds in with the first season.
It feels the same, but it's all brand new stuff.
It was good first episode to get back into K-ON :D

The OP and ED were really great though. I love both of them, song and animation wise. The opening song is really different from the usual K-ON music, but I really like the fast-pace. Oh, and the ending, it made me crack up hard so badly. I don't know why, but seeing them perform in a cake was really funny xD
