Great episode, loved how Anya solved the conflict. The episode also reminded me of the quote:

I love this episode and I love this arc so much. I love that it went against expectations where a lot of people were thinking Loid or Yor would show up and save Anya, but it is Anya's actions that end up saving the day. I love that Anya gets her hero moment and ends up stopping the bad guys. I also love when Anya says "To make this world a place where children don't cry" it is a direct call back to what Loid was thinking in episode 1 of the series as the reason for why he became a spy. I just love that Anya remembered that and uses it when confronting Billy.

I didn’t think they’d give the terrorist a backstory and make me care about him but they did lol, of course Billy is doing some absolutely terrible shit here but you gotta feel for him because of what happened to his daughter. It’s funny tho, Billy went through all this in his head because of Anya accidentally hitting the nail on the head regarding the stuff with his daughter, and then he surrendered without anyone else besides us viewers knowing why he did it lol, well I still liked it regardless, it’s definitely a nicer resolution than the Stasi getting everyone blown up by mistake.

And speaking of the Stasi, one end of their operation went smoothly thanks to Yuri, bro came through in this episode, he took a bullet unfortunately (and he was NOT enjoying the experience of getting it removed afterward lol) but he did the damn thing, you gotta respect it. And Yor did nearly intervene from the looks of that phone call scene, but she ended up not having to, it would’ve been cool but I like that this was all solved without help from Yor or Loid, this was mostly an Anya endeavor and she did a great job.

It's to bad that Ostania is so messed up with SS at the ready this is the authoritarian fever dream.
But it does ask the question when do you take a stand and what are the costs of your actions?

Billy isn't going to last in prison bad choice to a bad situation
Yes this isn't the place for politics but shits going down whether we like it or not.

That was a great resolution to a fantastic arc. This season started off very weak for me, but the last few episodes have really made me come around. This episode in particular did a wonderful job in not only fleshing out its characters, but also in so doing, fleshing out the world building. I really liked how many shades of grey the story was willing to go into with Ostania, the Red Circus, and the class warfare going on within Ostanian society.

Anya managed to acquit herself as a hero. Hope she gets herself an extra Stella. I mean they all should get one, but she should get an extra one on top.

Wow. One of my fave Spy x Family arcs and resolutions thus far. Left me emotional as hell. Endo-sensei completely flipped our expectations upside down with the red circus backstory and reveal. Billy and his daughter deserved so much better, but I’m glad he didn’t make things worse and let the kids go in the end. His daughter would be proud of him.

So red circus were a progressive student movement aimed at exposing government corruption and neglect? Extremely fucking based, we stand with them. You know it’s so funny, the state security service surely know that too, but they paint red circus as being this radical terrorist group who’s out to hurt people when they really just want to bring attention to societal issues, sound familiar? Art reflects reality. The audacity of them(sss) to say they care about the country, when they really only protect government interests is insane. A country is nothing without its people.

The way Anya trolled her way into an honorary red circus membership and reminding Billy of his daughter had me dying though 😭 even with the lack of thought behind her actions, she saved the day and helped Billy regain his sense of direction. She also sounded a lot like Loid there!! No one got hurt in the end, can’t ask for a better resolution.

I know Yuri got a lot of criticism this last week for saying he was willing to let Anya die just to hurt Loid, but actions speak louder than words and when needed the most, he came thru to help Anya and her classmates. Respect

Awww, omg. The way Becky runs up to and hugs Anya after the hostage situation ended is so sweet. They’re really the most important thing in the world to each other, I love them sm!! Such a great ending.

what I interpreted from the Red Circus was that it started as a group of student protesters but slowly grew into an extremist terrorist organisation.

Disappointed by the resolution where the system and its higher-ups don't get to pay for their crimes. Would've been better if the bombman at least blew up some government building or the secret service.

Yo but anything can happen in this world! An emotional shock can break someone in an instant. It’s truly sad to see their whole life fall apart afterward. But sometimes I think about it… some people really just can’t control themselves at all.

Phenomenal episode. Probably the only Spy x Family episode that made me feel the way it did.

At first, I wrote off Red Circus as just a generic terrorist group. But this episode changed that. Yeah, they're extremists. But like most groups, they didn't become like that out of nowhere for no reason despite whatever garbage propaganda the government shits out. Especially Billy. Wouldn't say he was "good" but he was the least bad out of the three. What he did was still wrong, of course. But any reasonable person would know it's understandable. Any father would want to avenge their daughter if that happened to them. I'm just glad he was able to surrender before things got ugly. His methods might've been wrong, but this act showed that his resolve was genuine.

Anya made this episode so funny. She just felt herself out of such a sticky situation and saved her friends. Hilarious. What really made this arc so good was that Loid and Yor didn't bail her out this time. She did it all on her own. I don't think she's quite ready to have any solo adventure cause she's still a kid, but she showed she's gonna be more than ready for it whenever that happens. If she doesn't get a Stella for this, Idk what will.

And the preview showed that she and Becky, Damian, and the big guy are getting Stellas. Good for them.

This episode was still pretty intense, but I'm proud of Anya with the actions she took thanks to her abilities letting her hear more about Billy and the other Red Circus members were up to. Billy himself did have a sad backstory of what led him to be the Red Circus leader in the first place after his daughter was killed while protesting. Showing more of this backstory and how she helped out to give some smaller cats some food did make for a touching part of this episode.

Billy did the right thing in surrendering, although his ally did lose his rag and drove the bus in a futile attempt to escape. Martha's timing couldn't be better in not only stopping one soldier from shooting at the maniac holding Anya hostage, but she did take care of him with a taser gun.

I'm simply glad that everyone was unharmed. Yuri also deserves praise for playing his part in rescuing the kids on the other hijacked bus and making sure all of them were rescued without incident, aside from him getting shot in his shoulder. Not only that, but having this resolved without the involvement of either Loid or Yor is honestly refreshing to see. This arc was really good overall. =)

That’s actually not possible, because of different reasons:

Yor has no knowledge of what’s going on - she only just this episode started to put together that something was wrong when she called another mom whose kid came home fine on the bus that wasn’t hijacked.

Yuri has been given a direct order to not show his face. To their way of thinking, Anya (and by proxy, Yor) cannot know what his actual job is. Of course, he has no idea that Anya already knows… but he did save the day in a way, by locating the second bus.

Yor had pretty much all of S2 to feature with the whole cruise ship arc, her role to play this season will be decidedly less centered on her - but that doesn’t mean her role, character and screen time won’t be important either.

Yuri is normally such a pain in the ass, but when he went the extra mile to go take some names with the Red Circus and got himself shot in the process, I couldn't help but root for him. That now makes him AND his precious Nee-san who have taken a bullet in this show and lived.

Episode SUCCESSFUL

Billy is by far the best antagonist in this series, we finally have one who has real feelings and an interesting and emotional story. Also, Anya proved once again why I love her. She's not only cute and fun, but she also that brave and heroic aspect making her so great.

Good hope to make Spy X Family great again ?

They better give Anya two Stellas instead of one. She's practically a hero in everyone's eyes.

Great episode and arc but also conflicting as hell. Didn't know whether to laugh at Anya's antics or tear up because of Billy's tragic background. Now I really hope he doesn't get tortured to death by those State Security Service men... he will.

I actually teared up... o7 Billy, your daughter will be proud of you.

All of these were just a result of unfortunate circumstances... all the blame goes to the corrupt government!

Anya definitely deserves a Stella for all the things that she did here!

And holy! Martha moves like that! I do remember Loidy saying that she could be a military veteran and here's her showing that... also she's acquainted with Henderson-sensei... I know the spoilers
