| A couple of things so far unsaid; Kyouko on her own volition brought Kaoruko and Subaru upstairs to the boys' party. They were there at the shop just to eat some cake! Also, Rintaro's dad was the one who pierced Kyouko's ears. He had such a deep voice, MAL hasn't posted who his VA was yet. ( I looked up on ANN, it's Ryoutarou Okiayu). |

| I can't hold my tears after watching this, but we get to know more about Rintarou's backstory and how it influenced his mom to dye her hair and wear piercings. It feels so heartbreaking. Glad to see her son having fun with the friends, she's definitely the best mom! |

| Man, this episode was both very wholesome and a tearjerker. A very deadly combination... I really love Rintaro's mom. She reminds me of Subaru's mom with how cool and supportive she is. Probably one of the best anime anime parents ever. After going through Takopi's Original Sin, this feels like a cure. Really needed this. Also, Rintaro has an older brother? Wonder if he's gonna be an important character later. That could be cool. But I really liked how Rintaro's mom pierced her ears and dyed her hair for her son. That's so sweet of her. Loved Kaoruko, Subaru, Rintaro, and his friends hanging out together. Can't wait to see more of them hanging out together. This episode was probably the best episode of the series so far. Loved it. I think I'm finally starting to see the appeal of this show and actually liking it. |

We have a little surprise get together with all of rentaros gang plus waguri & subaru. Moms delighted to see so many of rentaros friends. Also she noticed Rintaro blushing all ears looking at waguri with the aquarium flashbacks & got all smug about. "Ah my boy is in love" probably her thoughts We get backstory of rintaros reason dyeing his hair blonde & the piercing, even if it was a simple cause the reasoning behind was quite profound & deep. He just wanted his happy space. Love how all of his friends reassured they would be good friends with him even in middle school & glad on the fact that they are his friends now in the present. Bro deserves all the love. Also Best girl and Best mom confirmed in the same episode.  I am sure rintaro knows how much she cares for him & how much she has done for him.  After all she has seen him go through and then get back up.  Seeing her child happy is the biggest joy for a mom and now seeing him happy & smiling again, she knows hes with genuine people who care for him & love him for who he is. Also shout out to dad, hes such a W Husband for supporting his wife so well especially on a emotional level. Great episode full of motherly love <3 Rintaro is truly blessed. Now we have some exam study get together for the first time with the entire group before the classic beach episode. Cant wait. |

| Lovely episode. I'm glad we finally got Rintarō's backstory, from his elementary school days, through middle school, and now high school. Kyōko, Rintarō's mom, has always been there supporting him, even dyeing her hair blonde before Rintarō dyed his own blond. Kyōko aside, I wonder what happened to Rintarō's father, since he usually only shows up in flashbacks. Might he have passed away? Or could he be working overseas? I'm not quite sure. If he's dead and it was mentioned but I forgot, I'd appreciate someone reminding me. That aside, I'm excited for their beach trip. Since they said it’s happening after exams, thus the next episode will show all of them studying together. I can’t wait to see how the class reacts to how much Rintarō and his friends' grades improve after being taught by their Kikyo friends, Kaoruko and Subaru! |

When he shared with his family members about his decision, they were supportive of him. Shohei and Kaoruko note how amazing a friend Rintaro is. Kyoko, overhearing their conversation, is touched by their words. When Ayato and Kaoruko ask Kyoko about why she dyed her black her blonde, she claims she did it in the spur of the moment. A flashback reveals that Rintaro had said that he had chosen to "give up on everything". After witnessing him having the courage to ask, she decided to dye her hair blonde and pierce her ears first to reassure him to do the same. She is grateful that he has supportive friends who can see how kind-hearted he is. The group of six proceed to play a competitive racing game after finishing lunch. They are excited about the upcoming summer break, but Subaru reminds the boys that there are still exams before that. Kaoruko suggest having a group study session.  Uhm I'm sorry, you got a mistake :) they did not ask kyoko in that Situation why she died her hair... anyway, why the Summary? are those your thoughts about the ep? is it for blind people that were not able to watch the ep? 🤔 |

| I really love Rintaro's mom, what a great supporting character to even dye her hair blonde for his son. I'm happy to see that the group is getting closer, the series is going exactly where I wanted it to be and it's becoming one of my favorite this year. |

| I can see that there is something deeper in the story and now that i think of it this is the first time that they have even mentioned rintaro's older brother and father both of them had their face covered i wonder what happened to them but this episode was wholesome and beautiful it just gets better and i cannot wait where this story will go in the future |
| it cant stop this anime just cant stop producing peaks man, thought last episode was good and the next is better its always like that, even though the other episode were 10/10 as well this episode hit different than the rest for me its that moment in episode 5 with Rintaro and his mother but just the whole episode is about that, i love that we finally know the reason why rintaro and his mother dye their hair blond and its a really wholesome reason made me quite emotional a bit there with the flashback of the mom, i was right the reason mother dyed her hair and get piercing is to assure rintaro dying his her blond like saying "hey i dyed my hair too so its ok for you to do it" the mother really the best about the episode, but of course the other thing is also good like when rintaro finally telll his friends the reason he dyed his hair and shouhei said bluntly like he always does "they're all blind if i were them i would totally be friends with you" that was soo sweat i love it and waguri too as always she is so cute, i love that the mother notice right away that rintaro is not in love with waguri the instant he blush and i also see subaru starting to notice rintaro movement, hope she notice soon that he's in love i want to see her reaction to that as well, and his friend are genuinely great and you could see that even more because what the mother said dude really the mother is soo good in this episode she might even be my favorite character oh yeah and the father even though we haven't seen his face he seems like a sweat father that is caring and supporting to his family, so refreshing to see a good active and supportive family in a anime usually they just make them npc, absent or dead, but this anime say no to that and actually make the parents an active character that i genuinely love i would honestly give this episode a kyouko/10 maybe best episode so far its so good and hits so hard make me so emotional and theres still romance in the episode, like how could they fit and make it work in one episode this is insane best romance of the YEAR and kyouko deserve Best Mother of the year as well, ahh that made my day so much i love it no anime this season made me feel this, this is so so peak  |

| I love this episode so much 😭 Kyouko’s one of the best moms I’ve ever seen in an anime. What a kind, caring soul 🥹 hearing about Rintaro’s past and knowing that his mom was so sympathetic that she would even dye her own hair and pierce her ears had me in tears. I can only imagine how much it meant to her seeing her son bring his friends home. Such great development in this episode. All of the characters are major green flags <3 And the food?? Damn. |

Rentaro's family carrying the story of the day, a tremendous adaptation we're witnessing. There's no doubt this deserves all the Oscars for Best Screenplay, Best Cast, Best Leading Character, and even the Formula 1 World Constructors' Championship. This tremendous masterpiece deserves it.  |
