Couldn't Kohaku and Co. just take a Medusa, petrify Stanley's party and wait for Senku to restore them? And in that way, they'd be healed of any wounds.
@a2falcone lol , watch the anime properly man , they are working on medusa , Medusa is currently useless , they are making that dimond into shape !!!

Tbh I'm growing increasingly tired of the fanservice moments. Like that unnecessarily suggestive and frankly unrealistic way the girl fell after the spider bite, the totally unnecessary shots up Kohaku's chest, and the very weird and unnatural expressions that Maya had.

I know Dr Stone has always had some degree of fanservice and sexualization of female characters but it was rarely as noticeable as it has become in the newer arcs. It's making it hard to watch, like come on, it's such a dark and dramatic episode, the entire mood gets killed for a few cheap frames.

I have been a hardcore Dr.Stone fan since always but it's less and less easier to ignore that Boichi does not respect women in the least.

Let the stone sacrifice plan get in motion 🙏 altho I don't think Stanley's group needs to send all of their forces to face them either. The superior tech is enough to keep several normal folk in check. Nor do they have that much time, with the ship apparently being visible from their spot.

Welp.. looks like they didn't prepare any insect repellent for the forest raid. Modernesh tech didn't even prepare em for that, smh. They're lucky that Suika was soft enough to jump in for her.

Bye bye Kohaku 👋 jumping right in the fray like a homie.

Eyo, so the traps included recordings of fake gunshots? 👀 Cheers to wasting their ammo. But being able to check what they do and react is the best way of going about it.

Classic Hyouga evil talk 🫡 doesn't surprise me

This season's end credits have been showing something was up. And when the first of them got hit a few episodes back it clicked what must be in store for that grouping. I hope Tsukasa's hope in the last scene isn't in vain.

Yes, they could do exactly that if they had a working one available.

Sorry, Hyoga and good save for your final move. I hope the other two make it and that the hostages didn't have to see this scene.

Also... Tsukasa got LIT UP like the end of Training Day. How is he even in one piece, let alone conscious!?

Yes Suika, really good move when you saved an enemy who is trying to hunt you and your friends down, not to mention you also made your three friends mortally wounded thanks to your stupidity, Suika.

There's hope for Tsukasa and Kohaku but we're really letting Hyoga die?? Bro hang in there 😭

Also, I'm watching from Crunchyroll but I have a Netflix too. Seems Crunchyroll is better at translating episode titles and subs. On CR episode title is "What I Once Sought to Destroy" while on Netflix it's "The Things We Once Wanted to Erase". Similar meaning but considering this came from Tsukasa at the end of the episode, I think CR one has more impact.

The first half of this episode was, I'd say, fine. But the closer we got to the end of the episode, the spicier it got. I mean, three people got shot for real? That was some plot twist I wasn't prepared for. I always thought Dr. Stone was aimed at a really young audience, but this just proved me wrong.

I can't believe the soldiers still follow the Geneva Conventions even after all international law is unenforceable.

I still have hope Tsukasa, Hyoga and Kohaku will live through this since they're actively working to trying to revive Medusa

Finally some action but no. Did they? To Hyuga now that he starts to be likeable? They already fake death Tsukasa once I don't believe they will kill him really. And no way they gonna kill poster ass girl Kohaku. But Hyuga. Idk, man, did anyone ever died in this show yet? I mean, from the "good guys"

Yeah this PMO so bad 😐 She’s dying (in doggy style???? This is NOT what convulsions look like bro) but let’s highlight her tits and ass which look like bowling balls because obviously that’s how human anatomy works right
I literally stopped the episode to google why Boichi draws girls so sexually with massive and unrealistic tits and ass in a shonen series. It doesn’t matter if he equally sexualized guys by having their bare chests out—it’s still unnecessary. At this point it’s become more than just an annoyance and genuinely disrupted my immersion in the plot, so is Boichi’s art helping or hurting Inagaki, the actual author of the series who wrote the story??? I guess with controversy you get more attention and press and become more memorable, but I feel like I’d still be just as invested in the mystery of the Medusa and the characters’ relationships with each other if they were all straight up ugly because I’m watching/read for the storyline. Not to look at bowling ball tits or a 16 year old’s ass.
Obviously there’s people who don’t care and people who probably actually like to see it but that is NAWT me and I’m hoping others agree that Boichi’s sexualization is enough 🫩

daym i said it would not go according to the plan as always and there would be some desperation but this is absolute despair. lol

i bet almost everyone would be shot and maybe senku again too. then at the very last second the device would be done and activated.
man i hope something that cliche would not happen.

and that Tsukasa vs maya fight lmaoo, that was some whisky peak Zoro shit😹😹 but Zoro would have deflected all the bullets and won real easy. lmaoo

Hey! it just came in to my mind that I've finally caught up with the ongoing. from now i have to wait a week for a new episode. sadge :(

oh and yes

this was absolutely crucial for the plot

edit : hollup , i just noticed that manga is finished and we are on chapter 188 in the manga and there's only 237 chapters. meaning theres like 20 episodes left until the end. meaning next season gonna be the final one with like 16 episodes. how the fuck are gonna build a rocket , go to moon , beat the enemy and un petrify the whole world in those 49 chapters while in this mess?? bruh the must be a huuuge time skip happening near future.

Goddammit, Senku and his naivete, Dr. Xeno is RIGHT THERE when he's assigning his strategic plan for Suika and Francois to act as their saviours. Couldn't you have discussed it elsewhere where Xeno isn't present?

And so the naive acts performed in this episode are stupendously laughable. First, it's Senku's nonchalant behaviour when discussing strategic talks, and then, of course, Suika messing it up BIG TIME. In her defence, she is one of the most helpful individuals thus far, the key player in many critical situations, an impressive feat considering how she's just a young girl. But her age caught up to her with her empathy. In her most flawed judgment, she chose to save Bony, who was bitten by a venomous spider, ruining the Science Kingdom's grand plan for them to revive them once the petrification device petrified them all.

Imagine having your strategic advantage sabotaged because of a small girl's empathy... Yeah, that'll be your last combat role. This shit had me annoyed as fuck I even though I've already read this beforehand.

However, the rest of the episode was rather wonderfully portrayed, specifically how suspenseful it all is!
I wasn't really counting on the animation to be anything spectacular, and it really isn't. However, it is tolerable enough given how immersed I was in the scene. Plenty of Kohaku fan service moments before she, Hyoga and Tsukasa were gunned down, all to sway the favour for the Science Kingdom in a potential future hostage negotiation.

The trio has dove well on that note...
When I read this chapter in the manga as it was being published, this has got to be one of, if not the most shocking moment in all of Dr.Stone. It really puts the terror of superior firepower into perspective. This isn't like the previous opponents. This shit is serious, and no amount of muscle or agility can escape the certain doom that guns could dispenses. Welcome to 21st century firefight, and goodbye... For now.

Too much was said about Suika stopping to heal an enemy soldier being at the root of the problem. I agree that this goes well with both Suika's personality AND the scientific kingdom philosophy.

It was otherwise a very good episode, and I'm looking forward the development of the incoming battle vs Stanley and company.

christ. "its not based on any sort of ethics, he's just a military man"...... what a cop out. he still chose to work for the US military, he's choosing to go straight to 'let's kill a bunch of kids even if it's a totally arbitrary process in the decision to get back xeno who they kidnapped precisely because the hostility from the americans forced their hand'. but i guess the US military will kill children is apparent enough given that they were willing to fucking kill suika. and good god, a woman can't fucking die whether being sexualised? this season's fan service is just way too excessive, are they worried that this very popular anime is getting a lower viewership rating or what. christ.

You know, I said leaving Suika alone was a bad plan thankfully, they did send another person with her. But somehow this plan turned out even worse than I expected. First of all, they sent two people without any kind of weapon. Has everyone just gone stupid or something? Are you kidding me?

And then Suika helping that blonde woman another layer of stupidity. Instead of waiting around and talking to her, she could’ve just dropped the stuff and run. She’s fast as hell, no one should even be able to track her. But no, because she decided to save one person, now three people on her team are dead. (Yeah, I’m sure they’ll survive somehow, but for now, they’re dead.) All of this just creates more unnecessary conflict when we already have plenty.

Honestly, I feel like the author didn’t really know what to do with this arc. I would’ve preferred way more focus on the moon and actually building something, not Stanley’s team running around killing kids. From here to the end of the manga, we only have this season and one more. That time should be spent on mystery and science, but instead, Senku has been written as straight-up stupid these past episodes. The whole plan made no sense from the start. (And if the plot tries to tell me Senku planned all of this and had some secret backup strategy, that’s gonna be my last straw with this season.)(Btw Im not talking about a second plan I actually hope he has one I'm talking about this being plan from the start)

They’re up against a military force, you cannot trust your luck. But I feel like they just trust their luck for the last two episodes.

Making things worse for the characters is fine, but it has to make sense. They could’ve just shown Stanley’s soldiers being clever and catching Suika themselves. There were so many ways to make this episode great. But no—we had to go with “let’s save a soldier and all get caught''.

I could not have wished for a better and more emotional way of adapting this particular moment of Kohaku, Hyoga, and Tsukasa trio, doing their best against Stanley's team, concluded with Tsukasa pondering over various things. Beautiful.

Suika showed them humanitarian approach, but Stanley decided to be rather ruthless (let's not forget that even though hostages are being kept alive, there is a purpose behind Stanley dragging them with his team).

The battle is almost at Fort Medusa...

Ah Suika, had to be the good samaritan. But maybe the sown seed will be reaped later with the recon soldier wavering in resolve. Good to know that Stanley has honour as a soldier

So now the ED makes sense; it was building up to this fight. I'm surprised Stanley didn't do the professional thing of ensuring their deaths with headshots. Either he's unaware of the Medusa's regen powers, or he values honour over efficiency.
