Really thought Shin’s mind reading would get tricked again, this time by a talented fourteen year-old. At least he’s keeping his promise to Sakamoto. Do find it funny though how almost everyone he meets has a way to counter his ability. And remember guys, this is a movie, not some basic assassin test, with the director and actors pulling off those big stunts.

I also thought Sakamoto would save the day like usual, but turns out Akira has a hidden talent and can handle herself. Good for her.

Well they definitely used the animation budget up on Mafuyu v Shin last week, lmao, but their character interactions this week made up for the subpar animation. Looking forward to more of him, he’s a fun dude, albeit a little insane, but then again that’s par for the course in Sakadays

Buddy using a fucking camera to take out the plane is killing me. Apparently free falling out of the sky isn’t exciting enough for general audiences? Thanks marvel 🤣

You’d think that they would’ve had better protections in place for one or both of the pilots being killed given they encouraged an all out battle royale with trained killers on a plane? But good thing new girl Akira is the best seamstress in the world and made a parachute mid air lmao. It’s rare to meet someone that makes even Taro surprised. Weaker episode than last, but still fun. I’m excited to see the exam arc get going in earnest.

Man I already love Akira she's such a innocent bundle of joy with some badass sewing skills. Plus even Mafuyu seems to be on board with the Shin and Taro. I hope both of them stick around I love them a lot both badass in their own respective ways.

Oh I totally didn't expect a sudden manservice moment in the middle of the air, it's a good kind of fanservice though, they're all take of their shirts just before beach episode.

If this anime doesn't have Sakamoto in its name, I'd have thought that Shin is the lead protagonist, but I don't mind since they're all interesting.

I know 300 people died from the first stage alone and I should be sad, but the after credit scene almost make me want to say that this is a "heartwarming" episode.

Crashing this plane with no survivors!

The JCC exam has given way to a pretty cool enemy in this film director guy, and a decent showing for the newcomer Akira. She's got rough combat, but solid utility, a quality C+ Tier unit you can easily take into the endgame. Need to see more of Sakamoto with machine guns. I bet his fat absorbs all the non-existent recoil.

First half of this episode is made with a dollar and a dream XD shin and mafuyu shenanigans really carry. Surprised by how much cooler the second half was with the plane exploding and akira's moment (might b the craziest feat so far sowing like 10 shirts in 2 seconds droppin at terminal velocity LMAOO never change sakadays)

The tease for the next ep got me giddy I can't wait!!!

Yeah Kanaguri is truly a madman, killing one of the pilots wasn't enough, he had to blow up the whole plane, all for the sake of peak cinema.

Akira may be too timid to kill but at least she was useful in a different way. She was clutch in this episode.

Shin doesn't want Sakamoto to help him in the exam. But I think he did kinda end up saving his ass near the end. Sakamoto and Akira, that is. But Shin is already really competent. He really beat that kid's ass.

Based on the OP I guess Sakamoto and Shin once knew Akira's mom who was likely an assassin. The resemblance is so uncanny but for some reason they don't recongnize her lol. Wonder why she decided to be an assassin when she's clearly not cut out for it. Pride? Desperation? Guess I'll find out soon.

That weird cameraman examiner almost looks like a JoJo character. The pilot getting killed mid-flight was crazy enough but then the whole plane fucking exploded and they fell on a remote island. This series is crazy but this was probably the craziest and most unrealistic episode yet.

So Shin immediately ended the fight with Mafuyu, so either Shin has gotten significantly stronger after acquiring his new ability or Mafuyu simply isn’t on Saw’s level.

So Mafuyu wants to join the order and he’s trying to make connections to do that. Shin is right in the matter. What is truly important is overwhelming power, which is what Shin is aiming for so he can truly stand next to Taro, which is why before they took the exam, he told Taro not to help him, which explains why Shin was fighting by himself.

Kanaguri is an Examiner, Director, and an Order member, and this dude is so good that he can change his predetermined path to bypass Shin’s ability, showing that Shin being able to read motor readiness potential isn’t enough to take on likely any member of the order.

We also learn the name of the blue haired girl is Akira, and her greatest ability is sewing, which is why she was able to quickly sew a parachute MIDAIR under the highest amount of pressure.

So it seems that Kanaguri went off script by not only killing the pilot, but blowing up the plane so the 63 remaining applicants have to land safely WITH a bullet in their possession. I also forgot to mention how he casually took the bullets off of Shin, Mafuyu, and Taro without any difficulty. Jack Cass (or Jay Erk in the credits) unfortunately didn’t pass, but at least he didn’t die. I don’t know how everybody else fared though.

And there seems to be a boat coming that includes a girl with a Taro accessory on her bag, showing that she’s a fan. Is she enough of a fan to recognize him despite the weight he’s put on?

Let’s see what else goes on during the JCC Transfer Exam Arc!

the content of the episode itself carried again this time. shin and mafuyu's dynamic is jokes and damn they showed akao more clearly here than in the manga. the jojo character; kanaguri is here and his introduction was great. rolling the dolly lmao. also sakamoto remembring how he taught shin how to shoot was neat, that's gonna come full circle later.
but i can't say i ever expected them to match the manga since the shading was so detailed.

just wish they did the falling scenes better, some iconic panels in there.

So I’m not the only one that thought he seemed like a Jojo character, that’s a good kind of character to be imo lol.

But yeah this episode was super fun, this exam arc has been a really exciting ride so far, with lots of goofiness sprinkled in of course, it wouldn’t be SakaDays otherwise lol. So blue babe’s name is Akira, and although she’s rough when it comes to combat, she is incredibly skilled at sewing as we saw during the falling out of the sky bit, whether she’ll be a good assassin or not, you can’t deny she was epic here, maybe she can turn the sewing skills into assassin skills somehow. And going back to Kanaguri, I really liked his moments, he’s so over the top and flamboyant which I’m a fan of, and I’m also a big movie fan so I understood his anger at Mafuyu lol.

And wow Kanaguri even figured out a way around Shin’s future sight, our boy just got that upgrade but it’s already confirmed to have a weakness lol, I wonder how exactly Kanaguri did it, maybe we’ll find out eventually. Shin was really cool against Mafuyu tho, and somehow they became friends lol, that’s cool I guess, I wonder if Shin will ever catch on that it’s Seiba’s brother or not (if I’m right about that anyway, hasn’t been confirmed in the show yet).

@Embient I think it's just how his name is rendered, they're using katakana, so it's not a traditional or common reading, like in Bleach with the kanji for, say, Quincy, it's something entirely different in Japanese, it's just Quincy for exotic flavor

@TheColonel76 Kanaguri being an Order member will be important too, but one could speculate just sheer speed, if Shin's foresight is limited in scope. I doubt it's like how Luffy got around Enel's Haki sight, but my mind is going to a particular Zenin that we've technically seen in the recent season of Jujutsu Kaisen, though his was a more explicit magic ability in universe, this seems more like sheer superhuman ability like how Sakamoto can jump like he's Captain America

@TheColonel76 I can say this about Akira: her use of "threads" is relevant, though not in the way one might think, though Sakamoto hasn't made the connection yet with Akira that one could speculate on from the OP having a character with the same hairstyle in a frame that's a younger Sakamoto and Nagumo.

Kanaguri's obsession with Akira is also going to be a running theme, which becomes interesting in that he came into the Order likely after Sakamoto retired, given he would probably have recognized him from his past even if he put on weight like he has. Unless he has tunnel vision and wouldn't recognize someone unless he was that fixated, like with Akira as his "protagonist"

@Embient Also, from what I can tell, kanaguri might be used here as the verb "to fling off; to throw off; to cast aside; to abandon; to throw to the winds", though that is kanaguri suteru. It doesn't have a corresponding kanji for kanaguri, so I'd say it's more obscure anyway, like how the kanji for Minazuki's Shikai in Bleach is supposedly a less common kanji, my first Japanese professor noted that when I presented it to him out of curiosity, was in my big Bleach phase (still trying to get all the volumes to this day)

@KingBaller06 Yeah, the series has enough crazy stuff, you'd need more than 10 spots to make a list of the most unrealistic stuff in the series. And Slur falls under it too, considering a later reveal of what he can do. Takamura, obviously also a candidate, but Nagumo has to be there too, considering his feats

I was already not a fan of them doing a battle royale in a freaking plane of all places for a test, but purposefully blowing it up so the examinees can try to survive the fall takes the cake. I get that there are superhuman characters in this series, but the lack of worldbuilding thus far leaves me wondering what heck happened to allow so many people to be this insanely strong while society largely continues functioning like normal. Like, the JAA, or some larger organization they fall under, better be secretly controlling the world in the shadows like an anime version of the Illuminati or something otherwise none of this shit makes any sense. Otherwise, an organization of the most powerful superhuman assassins in the country was created to police other superhuman assassins from killing everyone because... reasons? Not like they're getting paid a ton for their work apparently given their spending habits lol.

Also, ain't no way that sewing together a bunch of random clothes pieces will slow the fall enough for anyone remotely normal to survive. Let's be real here. There's only so much you can suspend disbelief before it simply becomes bad writing, and this series keeps doing it constantly that it's getting tiresome.

A manga reader told me after episode 4 that this series will transition to a top tier battle shounen with the best action, but I'm just not seeing it. The production quality itself might be partly to blame, but my interest continues to wane given all the other issues thus far. Feels like another overhyped series that has underdelivered. Hope I'm wrong.
