@lolmeme69 yeah ok, that is a fair point, but I'm just saying bug boy better have some exploitable weakness because I'd much rather see Alicia think her way out of this conundrum than wait for Clevatess to rescue them.

It seems so far that Bug boy only uses bugs and outside of that he's just weak.

Someone mentioned this somewhere that Nelluru is made up of some troll parts so I wouldn't be surprised if she suddenly transforms and HULKS out.

@GabiiNova it's implied with the white hair and strength that Clevatess' rebuilding of her used troll parts. Plus although Clevatess needed the ichor to work on her, it doesn't power her unlike Alicia. Nelluru is still alive, although with some 'donor' parts.

It would've made more sense to have her arms/legs and a bit of her back digested then when they were replaced, they looked grayish green and a bit furry like Betty (the troll) thus giving the reader/viewer a more sensible and clearer implication. Her hair wasn't replaced so for her to have a grayish purple bit now doesn't make sense. Her arms/legs and back being replaced would be fitting since she's able to carry such a heavy load that men 2-3 times her size had trouble with.

Clevatess leaves to deal with general Drel and the Boelate army. YAY!!
Maynard the bug wizard finds Alicia and her wards. Oh, NO!!
Meanwhile other secondary characters get more screen time. What parts will they play?
Tune in next week for Zombie Hero & Dark Beast Lord.

6 episodes in and only the first episode was good with maybe at best 2-3 others just being decent. The fights have been choppy, the story is shallow and covers only the worst parts of humanity with no in depth characterization, and the fandom is almost as bad as LOTM when it comes to legitimate criticism about the show. It's a dark fantasy yes which means it should cover heavy topics mixed with a decent story and growth, but this is edgy beyond that with purpose only trying to show how screwed up things are in this world and why Clevatess should embark on this mission. I'm not going to drop the show, since as I really feel it's been a horrible down hill since ep1, I want to at least watch fully if I'm gonna argue how this show is horrible after ep 1 (hope it changes in the latter half, but highly highly doubt it)
@Anon7524 I would take your destructive criticism more seriously if you used instances from the show or examples of what you consider to be better dark fantasy, characterization, etc.

@pixelante I'm sure there will be - for all I've said about this show thus far, it's still far beyond most fantasy animes.

Well now it would make sense for Alicia to avenge her father tbh. Anyway now it's very tense when Alicia and Nelluru are together at the inn with Luna while Clevatess isn't here and now Meynard and another girl are here to kidnapp the child, Alicia will have to fight by herself against both of them I guess

So is this whole anime about this effeminate Clevatess "god" walking around with this human kid until he decides there is some flimsy reason to "not destroy humans"? Why not just transform fully into a female body instead of a femboi? Was it too many OP women for the writer to jack-off to?

Rest of this shit is just female power fantasy where men are either war mongers/rapists/criminals or cucks afraid of women. I can't take that seriously at all, so I'm about to ditch this and move on.

I wasn't expecting the fucking kid to be just a kid throughout the show, was expecting them to time-jump and make him an adult. Meh.

The random name cards for those two wizards made me laugh though, esp. since they didn't do it for any other character. Are we supposed to remember these stupid-ass names? I mean, her name is "Naie Chiffonlits", and it sounds like an STD.

Anyway, if I wanted a generic anime that follows same predictable story path, I would just watch another random Isekai. They can't even come up with some original creatures. A wolf god, a mage that uses bugs (wow, amazing), tentacle monsters that look like shitty 90s cartoons. Even the dragon slayer bad guy is just the copy of that Dwarven king from Overlord anime.

Tensions are high, and the stakes are higher.

God this show, if you're interested in the slightest with the world building, keeps you on the edge. I gotta say, having the army be extra careful, plus have them situated in a way that is at odds with the MCs kinda creates this great tension. Also, where did the high ranking wizard get the hint that the royal blood was in that town? unless that raven, who works directly under a different beast is the high ranking wizard. I mean there could be a different explaination, so far ever with every guess I have had I have been totally thrown off. I am hoping its something cool, like the high ranking wizard has a contract or something. Or they were sent to fight one of the beasts and now is working intandom with them to help further their goals.

I COULD BE WRONG, and I cant wait to find out. Regardless. I am excited to find out about that gem that was in the wizard solider. Is that how the higher ranking wizards work? by planting that gem in their body to heighten their magical sense? or something or other? Again this has some interesting world building going on that keep me at the edge. But the it seems like the focus for this episode was more for the build up of said tension, and anticipation for the sake of drumming up heroic work. Whatever its for it building up to release some tension by next week.

I got to see it, and now Ima rate it (worst) 1 through 10 (best)

Plot: 8/10
build up, of the world, tension, character dynamic, relationship, and more. but lack of dynamic dialog in the 2nd half of the episode

Theme: 9/10?
Being a hero, and community

Ost: BeEp BoOp

Characters: 7/10
I didnt find myself in deep thought unlike other episodes, but it seems like the shows characters are just taking a step, this episode, but I couldnt see it.

Overall: 8/10

Felt the shows strength through world building, character introduction and dialog. It was good, but I felt it missing something, so I felt withdrawn from it.

ANYWAY BYEEE

Loved this episode! Loved Clevatess's remarks about what it is being a hero.

Intrigued how powerful wizards are. They'll either be very tough opponents, or Clevatess will one-shot them like heroes.

Feel sorry for the villagers.

The borders of Hiden, at least when it comes to the parading forces between Eslinn and Boelate only relying on their physical strength rather than magic (which is forbidden by the late King Hiden), it's a scene of utter infamy, at least to Klen who wants to restore Luna into Hiden's kingdomship. Even more than her father who got slain by the formidable Dragon Slayer Drel, it's the Boelate army and their "wizards" that the Lord of Dark Beasts must annihilate to reach their goal. To that perspective, Klen questioning Alicia about what it means to be a hero, as well as himself to protect Nelluru and Luna at all costs.

On the other end, the carpenter town of Shiron where everybody's on edge, from catching the remnants of Raven to protecting themselves against the Boelate army, and Alicia with Nelluru (with Luna in her hands) settling in an inn is a stopping point for now, but being found by the insect-controlling wizard of Meynard Swan is no consolation amidst fears within the townsfolk of Hiden's future, until his attack to claim Luna with another wizard, Naie Chiffonlits.

One bug infestation upon a carpenter town, this is not good...

The conversation between Clevatess and Alicia was really good. Cute reactions from Alicia from coffee. Clevatess's advice was deep. Rest was cliche, the moment he leaves the baby is attacked. I find it very dumb he didn't leave the sword with her even though he was leaving. What she can do with a normal sword is very limited. I wonder how they'll protect the baby or will be able to. Don't think Clevatess comes back so fast.

Alicia and Klen finally tasted coffee. Mostly Alicia. She must've only seen it on illustrations in books and read about it, but she never saw the real thing.

There are legions of bugs... The whole town is infestated by them. With two powerful wizards (and one of them is the elite of the Boelate elite) Alicia and Nelluru will have a tough time. Especially when Klen is not nearby, and Alicia doesn't have her magic sword.

I liked Dorel's army seen from afar, marching onward towards its main target - Hiden's capital city. Speaking of him, while his heart is surely covered in darkness, he looks epic in the scenes featuring him, lol.

This show reminds me of the classic fantasy adventure shows of the 2000s/2010s, you don’t see many of these anymore. Nice to see fantasy that isn’t magic academy slop
@MetaAmbience Yes, that's one of reasons that make this show so special. Not only it is solid and done with care, but also presents something that was quite popular back in the day, though somewhat rarely appears these days.

I stopped expecting anything as soon as I saw the usual characters who keep laughing all the time and the Alexa-style abilities with ‘intent to kill.’ Not to mention the thousands of pointless dialogues just to fill production time. It’s really irritating

ohh my gosh, forgive me for being simple but I like monsters, you can't believe the excitement I had when I saw Clevatess finally transform from that boring little boy form into his beast form. I think the story is about to get going now after being slow for a while...
