| Loved this episode. Renji's sister introduced, shes kind of like Komachi from Snafu, is that just me or? Well, clearly she doesn't give the best advice though, well, thats on Lily because she literally pushed Renji but that was because she got jealous that he was talking to two girls. Hoping that date goes well next episode, it probably won't tbh, but I still have faith that it goes well. 5/5 |

| Jesus christ, it's the second episode and retards are still losing their marbles over this cute romance comedy. I thought this would only plague the first episode thread. It's obviously building up to them eventually getting together, whether that's after she's grown a few years or not, and that's perfectly fine as it's a cute japanese manga adaptation. People have to realize this is not rare for japanese entertainment and either live with it or not consume it at all. |

| There's not much of a cultural exchange. I was hoping to see more school interactions. Were they saying she learned Japanese from anime, but can't hold a conversation? If so, then how does she understand class not to mention her Lily or the convo Renji had with her mom? It seems as if the only person she has misunderstandings with is Renji. Why doesn't he just tell that little girl that he's not interested instead of allowing her misunderstandings to grow? That's assuming that he's not a perv. He could've explained things to Mrs. Baker and asked her to help him clear things up. He could've even explained the language barrier to his sister. She should've understood considering she has one, too. And speaking of Mrs. Baker... when she met Renji she had to know that he's at least in his 2nd year of HS. The advice she should have been given her middle schooler was, he's not responding because you're too young. If she'd ask some questions and found out about the V-Day fiasco, should could have explained the difference to Lily. Mind you that doesn't take away Renji's responsibility of admitting that he didn't know the difference, but he's a teen and grown men in their damn 40s can't do that. |

Ok somehow I missed the massive age gap in the first episode(I think most people did), can’t ship these two sadly. She’s in middle school and he’s college age y’all. Like it’s not even one of them close gaps. I wish they’d have made her in college like the MC. Just a really weird set up from the author. That and the engrish segments make this hard to watch.. fluffy aesthetic, but some uncomfortable details.
S/O to Renji’s sister Aoi though for being a great friend and wingman. She’s helping her settle in and trying to support Lily’s crush, but yea.. that SHOULD be a losing battle.

| @Marinate1016 I do agree with you here, this anime can be still be cute and wholesome, but if they're going for a romcom she would just have to be a little older. Thankfully it seems the manga keeps the cuteness and doesn't really go into romance, Lily just has a crush. |

| Middle-schoolers? More like PEAKle-schoolers, fr fr. Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals had the same dynamic last season and none of you were complaining. The "girl character who whishes for a mature and reliable partner" trope has existed for ages. |
